ANGELS WATCHING OVER YOU

There is about to come a greater manifestation of angels to help with the powerful ministry that God is going to release shortly (after the house cleaning!)

Have you wondered about the part angels pay in your daily life? Do you suppose that they are around only certain special people? Do you believe they are sent for "special occasions," like someone who is in danger? Angels have a ministry - to the Saints of God - that's you and I, to strengthen, comfort, and help us in our ministries. All through the Bible, angels have had a part of God's relationship to men, women and children.

When Sarah sent her maid Hagar away, an angel was sent to find her, to comfort her and give her a promise concerning her son, and also to give her direction (to return to Sarah), see Genesis chapter sixteen). The second time that Hagar was cast out, the angel again went and spoke to her and comforted her and provided water Genesis 21.)

The angel of the Lord was sent to stay Abraham's hand when he was going to sacrifice his son in Genesis 22).

HIS ANGELS GO WITH YOU

When Abraham sent his servant to find a wife for Isaac, the angel was sent to go with him (Gen 24:7). When God sends you out - his angels go with you to help you accomplish the purposes of God.

When Moses heard the voice of the Lord speaking to him from the burning bush, the Bible says that first he saw the angel in the bush (Ex. 3:2). Sometimes an angel will come to minister to us just before God is about to give us direction.

AN ANGEL CARRIED A SMALL JUG TOWARD ME

As I was entertaining a missionary friend of mine in my home last year, an angel came into the room where we were talking. My friend was ironing and I was sitting on the sofa when I saw a bright light out of the corner of my eye. Then I saw a huge angel carrying a small jug coming over toward me. As he went behind me I suddenly smelled a sweet aroma and felt oil pour over my head, run down my face and shoulders and arms. The next minute I found myself slipping off the sofa, onto the floor. My friend looked astonished, "What are you doing?" she asked. " Didn't you see that angel?" I asked. "No, but I smelled a wonderful perfume," she replied. The angel stayed in my house for over two weeks. Everyone who came to my house and sat on that same seat had oil poured over them. Why did that happen? I believe it was an anointing for preparation.. Shortly after, many of those people received prophetic words pertaining to their personal lives and also for our area.

HE GIVES HIS ANGELS CHARGE OVER YOU

An angel was sent to the Children of Israel to lead them out of Egypt in Numbers 1:20. So, as you follow the directions of the Lord, He gives His angels charge over you and helps even organize your move from and to your new location, be it church or town.

God sent an angel to stand in the way of Balaam three times when he went with the princes of Moab, although God had forbidden him. While Balaam did not see the angel, the ass did! Sometimes when we pray for our wayward loved ones the Lord sends an angel to protect them from themselves as He did with Balaam.

When the Midianites oppressed the children of Israel and made them impoverished God sent an angel to Gideon while he was trying to hide wheat from the oppressors. ( Judges chapter six).

ANGELS WILL COME TO STRENGTHEN YOU

The angel who came to strengthen Gideon addressed him, "The Lord is with thee thou mighty man of valor." Now Gideon in the natural was certainly no "mighty man of valor," but because the Lord was with him, the whiny, grumbling, complaining man became a mighty man. God's angels come to remind us who we are in Christ, and strengthen us. After Jesus had been tempted by the devil in the wilderness, the Bible says the angels came and ministered to him. ( Matthew 4:11) In Him we can be strong and do mighty exploits.

One time when I was ministering in Kenya with my husband, an angel came to help me deal with some things in my life that were standing in the way of me receiving a healing from the Lord.

The angel of the Lord directed Gad to tell David to go to the threshing floor of Ornan and set up an altar to the Lord (1 Chron. chapter 21). Ornan also saw the angel and allowed David to buy the threshing floor according to the instruction of the angel.

ANGELS WILL FIGHT YOUR ENEMIES

The angel of the Lord went and smote the camp of the Assyrians ( Isaiah 37:36) but the angel of the Lord encamps or lives round about those who fear Him and in Psalm 35:5, David said the angel of the Lord chases those who were his enemies. The angel of the Lord ministered to Isaiah, Ezekiel, and Daniel.

ANGELS CAN GIVE CRUCIAL REVELATION

An angel directed Joseph to take Mary as his wife (Matt 1:24) and later on to take Mary and Jesus to Egypt (Mat.2:19). An angel came and rolled back the stone from the tomb for the two Mary s and told them of Jesus s resurrection, then instructed them to go and tell the disciples.

(Matthew 28:2).

Another angel prophesied the birth of John to Zechariah (Luke 1:13). The angel Gabriel was sent to Mary to prophesy the birth of the Savior (Luke 1:26-33) and in the next chapter the angels went to the shepherds in the field to announce the birth of Jesus.

The water at the pool of Bethesda was stirred every so often by an angel and healing came to those who stepped into it (John 5:2-4). Many times I have seen the angels helping to minister in healing meetings.

ANGELS CAN RESCUE MANY FROM TROUBLE

An angel was sent to open the prison doors for the Apostles in Acts chapter five, and an angel directed Philip to go to Gaza (Acts 8:26). Another angel told Cornelius to send for Peter (Acts 10: 3-6) Peter was released from prison in Acts chapter twelve.

ANGELS CAN SEIZE CONTROL TO PROTECT YOU

An angel gave Paul a message of hope for the people in the ship when he was being taken to Italy, and the ship was in danger (Acts 27:24). The angels are sent to protect us. One time I was driving to Orlando from Georgia where I live and as I drove past Gainesville, Florida, I ran into a heavy storm. There was a lot of traffic and the rain was so hard that I could barely see the lights of the car in front of me. There were "road up" signs everywhere and the road was very uneven as half of it was retarred and other half was not. The big red barrels were lined up along the left hand side. I wasn't able to see enough to even pull off the road when suddenly my steering wheel was jerked very sharply to the right. "Woa" I yelled, but just as suddenly as the car turned to the right, it jerked back again to the left and then went straight ahead. As the car turned back I saw that one of those big red pillars had been knocked over into the middle of the road. I know that if I had hit it I would have slammed on my brake just out of a re-action and the car behind me would have gone into me and the car behind that would have hit the other car also, etc. As my car had turned to quickly the car behind me could see there was something wrong, and also pull over to the side.

As my car continued to Orlando I was unable to control the steering wheel. I just worshiped the Lord with my tape player. I kept one finger on the wheel through that bad storm and yet the wheel was as tight as a drum. When we reached the outskirts of Orlando I felt a nudge and the angel gave the wheel back into my hands. On another occasion as I was drawing up to a rail-road crossing, an angel spoke to me and told me to stop. There was no light flashing or bell sounding a warning so I hesitated and again the angel said, "Stop" so I did. Right in front me a train went flashing by. If it made a sound I hadn't heard it - and the barrier had not come down, not had the light flashed. In the Psalms it says, "He gives His angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways..."

ANGELS ARE MINISTERING SPIRITS

The Bible talks about the angels as "ministering spirits, sent to minister to the heirs of salvation."

(Hebrews ) sometimes the angels sing the songs of Zion to us. Have you sometimes woken up and heard a song in your ears. Maybe you haven't sung that song for a long time and you wonder, "Where on earth did that come from?" Well it probably didn't come from earth at all. The angels come and sing to you and remind you who Jesus really is and then encourage you to worship Him. Sometimes they speak scriptures to you. How do you know the difference between an angel speaking to me and the Holy Spirit telling me something, you may ask. The Spirit is within you and when He speaks it comes from inside you - when the angels speak and sing to you it comes from outside - in your ear…instantaneously.

THE ANGEL KEPT SAYING, "HE ISN'T HERE!"

The angels are very much a part of your life. The first time I visited Israel to attend some Kathryn Kuhlman meetings we went sightseeing during the day times. Wherever I went and looked at the various places where Jesus lived, someone would tap me on the shoulder. A voice would speak in my ear, "He isn't here," the angelic voice said. I would laugh - and then the last place we happened to go before we left Israel was the Garden tomb. I bent down when it was my turn to enter. I looked around with great interest of course. A voice loomed behind me, "He certainly isn't here!" I laughed and laughed. As I came out some of the religious people around me thought I was very irreverent.

Another time a man with a very strong Pharisee type religious spirit began to yell at me for dancing and laughing in church. His face got redder and redder and I wondered how to answer this man. Suddenly I felt finger tips around my ribs like a feather, tickling me. I tried to stop it by putting my arm over my ribs but it didn't make any difference, the angelic fingers kept tickling me. I started giggling and the man yelled louder and his face got redder, but I couldn't stop. The man made one final shout and stormed away from me. "So much for the religious spirit, God doesn't seem interested in it," I thought. Sometimes the things we consider serious, God doesn't take too seriously at all.

WHAT ABOUT WORSHIPPING ANGELS?

Sometimes when I speak about angels at various churches and conferences someone will come after and say to me, "You shouldn't worship angels." I tell them, "That's not even an issue because God's angels will not let you worship them. They would be off in a second if they thought you were going to do that. If some kind of angel accepts your worship you know right away that it's not from God. You don't even need discernment to know that," I say.

HE WON'T GIVE YOU A STONE---IF YOU ASK FOR BREAD

The devil makes people fearful of things which I call "non-starter issues." Like people who say, "If I ask the Lord for the Holy Spirit and the things of the Spirit, how do I know that I wont receive some demonic spirit?" Didn't Jesus promise that if you ask your father for bread - HE WILL NOT GIVE YOU A STONE" ((Luke 11:11).

ANGELS CAN TELL YOU ABOUT GOD'S PLAN FOR A NATION

Friend, the angels were certainly part of the life of the early church. If you read through Revelation you will see that there was a chief angel appointed over every church and so there is today. Over the life of every believer, every church, every God-called ministry. As there are demonic forces over various towns and cities and nations, so there are angels of God over cities and towns and nations. The angel who is over the nation of Nigeria came and stayed with me once for 24 hours when I was staying in St. Petersburg, Florida. He told me about the move of God that is coming to the African nations and mighty outpouring of the Spirit coming to the young people there.

God has called us to the kind of supernatural life that Jesus lived. God confirmed His word with signs following- and the angels also help to establish the Gospel with their word and their presence.
