PORTRAIT OF A PROPHETIC INTERCESSOR

Below is a "portrait" of a prophetic intercessor. Did you know that many prophetic people are not intercessors? But did you also know that most intercessors are also prophetic. It goes with the package. Intercessors are learning these days that they are part of a grander scheme of things. And they are not alone, like many have felt for so long!

***YOU'RE NOT ALONE IN YOUR INTERCESSIONS. YOU'RE NOT ALONE IN YOUR FIGHT FOR THE CHURCH. YOU'RE NOT ALONE IN STANDING IN THE GAP FOR THIS NATION. YOU'RE NOT ALONE IN ANY NATION!!

Elijah himself, also an intercessor, FELT he was alone at times. He felt that God depended on him and him ALONE. Here's what God told Elijah, (as we hear Paul tell the story):

Rom 11:2-5 "Don't you know what the Scripture says in the passage about Elijah-- how he appealed to God against Israel [THIS IS INTERCESSION]: 'Lord, they have killed your prophets and torn down your altars; I am the only one left, and they are trying to kill me'? And what was God's answer to him? 'I have reserved for myself seven thousand who have not bowed the knee to Baal.' So too, at the present time there is a remnant chosen by grace."

SEVEN THOUSAND--IN ISRAEL ALONE?

Elijah complained that they had killed all of God's prophets! God didn't see it that way. He said that seven thousand had been reserved. Seven thousand prophets? (maybe) Seven thousand intercessors. (probably if they hadn't bowed their knee to Baal by this time).

All of that to say, you, ---prophetic intercessor-- are not alone. Knowing that, when you are awakened in the middle of the night for an assignment, you have fellow intercessors who have enjoined the battle with you. You could choose to go back to sleep . . . but then, you would have lost out on the great reward for obeying His Voice. The best part of the reward? More revelation from the Throne Room. Who wants to miss that?

Here then is the picture of what went on BEHIND THE SCENES, probably among hundreds of intercessors, not only in California but all over the world. Yes, each of their stories would have been a bit different, but just as colorful.

I love it that we have a "SPEAKING GOD" who will do NOTHING without first revealing His plans to his SERVANTS, THE PROPHETS.
