We have entered into a very serious time in the Body of Christ. The Lord of Hosts, the Lord Mighty in Battle, is ready to fill the earth with His glory, through His people. The Bride of Christ has been in the wilderness for many years and now God is blowing the trumpet and saying it is time to arise, cross the Jordan, take the land, and lay hold of our inheritance. I sense a holy anxiousness in the Lord's heart to apprehend us, give Himself to us, come into a holy union with us, and manifest His glory and power through His friends and lovers. It is time to start living in Authentic Apostolic Christianity. Time for talk is over! It's time to take action, catch the initiatives of heaven, bring heaven to earth, and destroy the works of the devil daily.


Visitation of Jesus

I have had a series of visitations and encounters over the last few months where the Lord has unveiled this revelation that you are about to read. In January 2005, I had a visitation of the Lord Jesus Himself. I was preparing for a meeting in my hotel when, suddenly, within seconds, the room became very warm. I walked over to turn off the heat and realized it was barely on. I then realized something was up and I was about to have a visitation. As I sat back down in my chair, the Lord Jesus walked into my room and stood beside me. The glory of the atmosphere of heaven filled the room and emanated from Jesus. I could do nothing but weep under this weighty glory in the room. As Jesus stood next to me, I was covered in something like dew. My whole body was covered with some form of moisture. I was not prepared to see the Lord the way I saw Him this day. I am forever changed.

The Lord was covered and dripping with oil. He had a look in His eyes that shocked me. He looked like He was filled with a holy anxiety. He looked like a warhorse or a racehorse anxious to be released from the stall and run the track. He had a look of determination, a look of war, and a look of desperation in His eyes. Jesus told me He was dripping with the oil of an Overcomer and is ready to pour it out on His overcomers that have been preparing themselves for such a time as this. He went on to describe this oil, or this anointing. He said this oil represented two things. This oil is the Priestly and the Kingly anointing.


The Oil of an Overcomer: The Priestly and Kingly Anointing

I have also been taken into visions of God many times recently and shown the same thing over and over again. I have seen the Lord standing behind a veil that is already torn. In one hand He is holding a hot, fresh, steamy loaf of bread and in the other hand He is holding a scepter. These two objects represent the two anointings that make up the oil of the Overcomer.

The Bread represents the Priestly anointing and the scepter the Kingly anointing. We must eat the bread before the scepter will be extended to us. We must become faithful and consecrated priests before we can become overcoming kings.


Restoration of Authentic Apostolic Christianity

God's heart is to see Authentic Apostolic Christianity restored to the earth. But what is Authentic Christianity? I believe it is two things:

Firstly, Authentic Christianity is a people who are totally yielded to the Lord in intimacy and love. They live a life in the secret place of His presence. They are holy and set apart unto Him because they have allowed the Lord to fully capture their hearts. They are undone and forever changed by God's glory, and they live for one thing. They live to feed upon the Lord and manifest His glory on the earth. This is the Priestly anointing.

Secondly, Authentic Christianity is a people (living a life in the secret place) who bring the Kingdom of heaven to earth and enforce the dominion and authority of heaven upon everything evil. They let the King of Glory come into their lives and destroy the works of the devil daily. They establish the righteousness and justice of heaven on the earth. This is the Kingly anointing.

In the book of Revelation, in the end times, Jesus speaks to the seven churches and, at the end of each address, he makes a promise to him who overcomes. Here is that word "overcome" again. It is God's will that He have an overcoming bride in these end times that fills the earth with His glory. These times we are living in are all about the emerging of the overcomers.


The Priestly Anointing

The first part of Authentic Apostolic Christianity, or the priestly anointing, is in Revelation 2:1-7. Jesus compliments this church for doing many things right, but they forgot the most important thing:

Revelation 2:4
"Nevertheless I have this against you, that you have left your first love."

Then He issues the promise for those who overcome the world and enthrone Jesus as their first love:

Revelation 2:7
"To him who overcomes I will give to eat from the Tree of Life, which is in the midst of the paradise of God."

This is the first and most essential ingredient of true Apostolic Christianity: living the lifestyle of a priest.

The Inheritance of the Priests

I mentioned earlier that Jesus was holding a loaf of bread in one hand and a scepter in the other. The priestly and kingly anointing is all about inheritance. Jesus shed His blood, died, and rose from the dead to reunite Himself with us so that we might have our inheritance and that the Lord might have His. Our inheritance is the Bread and the Scepter that He held in His hands. The Bread is the Lord Himself. We have been settling for crumbs from the loaf when the Lord is inviting us to partake of the whole loaf.

In Ezekiel 44:28 the Lord told the priests that He and He alone was to be their inheritance and possession.

"It shall be, in regard to their inheritance, that I am their inheritance. You shall give them no possession in Israel, for I am their possession."

Our inheritance is the Lord Himself. The Lord is desperately hungry for us to possess Him. Did you know the Lord wants you to possess Him? That you would be so filled with the divine nature, come into such a holy union with Him, that it's as if Jesus has clothed Himself with your flesh?

The Lord wants to fill us with a holy desperation and a holy violence to lay hold of Him. It's a hunger that will drive us into holy romance with the Lord. The first attribute of this oil is the Priestly anointing. The priestly oil is the grace to live for Him and Him alone. To enthrone Him in every area of our lives. It's a fresh hunger to come into such intimacy with Jesus that we die to ourselves and come into holy union with Him in every way.

The lifestyle of the priest is to labor to eat of the Bread of Heaven. The priest is to labor to eat of the Tree of Life, Jesus Christ. We labor for so many things, striving to be productive and to make something of ourselves, but we are to labor for only one thing in this life and that is to feed upon the Lord.

John 6:27
"Do not labor for the food which perishes, but for the food which endures to everlasting life, which the Son of Man will give you, because God the Father has set His seal on Him."

John 6:33,35
"For the bread of God is He who comes down from heaven and gives life to the world . . . 'I am the bread of life. He who comes to Me shall never hunger, and he who believes in Me shall never thirst.'"


The Kingly Anointing

The Kingly anointing represents the scepter. When we learn to live a lifestyle of feeding upon intimacy with Jesus, then we will always have the scepter of kingly authority and dominion extended to us.

We find this second ingredient of Authentic Apostolic Christianity in Revelation 3:14-22. Jesus confronts the church of the day about how prideful they are in believing that they have need of nothing. He tells them that they are lukewarm and desperately need the Lord. Then He goes on to tell them that if they will answer His knocking and let Him in He will dine with us. Then He again mentions the overcomers and the release of the scepter of the kingly anointing:

Revelation 3:21
"To him who overcomes I will grant to sit with Me on My throne, as I also overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne."

The King is the one who wields the weapons of the Kingdom. The Kingly anointing is also:

Acts 10:38
"God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him."

The Kingly anointing is bringing the realm of heaven to earth with mighty demonstrations of God's power and might. It is making prophetic decrees that actually shift things in the spirit and the natural. It's enforcing heaven's rule in the earthly realm.


Moses: A Model Overcomer

I want to give you a model of an overcomer. Moses was a man that God used to affect a whole generation. Moses carried the Spirit of an overcomer. He is a great model of someone who lived a lifestyle of a Priest and a King. I want to share with you from Exodus 24:9-16. God calls Moses to come up the mountain and bring his buddies with him because they are going to have a meal with God. God appears to them on the mountain and, as He walks towards them, the stone at His feet changes to sapphire stone like the very heavens in its clarity. That sounds to me like Revelation 4 where we read about a sea of glass like crystal at the foot of God's throne. At God's feet we see with perfect clarity.

Then God says this to Moses:

Exodus 24:12
"Come up to Me on the mountain and be there; and I will give you tablets of stone, and the law and commandments which I have written, that you may teach them."

The first directive from the Lord pretty much describes Moses' lifestyle before God. God said, "Come up to me and be there." The calling of a priest is to learn how to "be" with God in His most intimate presence. In verse 16 it says that God didn't speak to Moses until the seventh day. Moses had to wait six days without food or water and then, on the seventh day, the Lord spoke to him. This is the strongest attribute of an overcomer. They are so hungry for God that they realize that even if they die they must live for the Lord and hear from heaven. The number six is the number for man or flesh. The number seven means perfection, rest, refreshing, the promised land. The overcomer is one who dies to self (six) and presses into the rest and the glory of God (seven).


The Blueprints of Heaven

What was Moses' reward for tarrying in God's presence? The very blueprints of heaven. These were not just any tablets of stone or everyday instructions he received from the Lord. God gave Moses the detailed plan of heaven for how God intended to make a habitation of His presence in the midst of Israel. God told him every little detail of how to build the tabernacle even down to the specific supplies to use.

God is desperately hungry for us to possess the promised land and lay hold of our inheritance. Our inheritance is to live in the very Glory of God. However, we must daily overcome the spirit of the world and press behind the veil that is already torn that we might eat of the Bread of Heaven and look upon the blueprints of heaven. Tapping into the revelatory blueprint of heaven will release the Key of David into your life. With the Key of David from Isaiah 22:22 you can effectively close demonic gates in people's lives and open heavenly gates, or portals, for heaven to break in.


"Release of an Understanding of the Language and Mysteries of Heaven"

I recently had an angelic visitation. This angel appeared to me with an open book in its hand. He was speaking to me in a language I did not understand. Suddenly the angel blew on the book and I inhaled some particles that came from the book. My understanding was instantly quickened and the angel told me that there was "coming an unprecedented release of an understanding of the language and mysteries of heaven."

Moses lived a lifestyle of "being there" with God and, therefore, he was God's friend and the Lord shared the intimate secrets of His heart with Moses and spoke to him as a friend speaks to a friend. This is also our high and lofty calling! The oil of an overcomer that God is about to release is a fresh hunger to live as a priest and king and lay hold of our inheritance.


The Body of Christ is Living in Psalm 23 and Psalm 24

I believe the Body of Christ is currently living in Psalm 23 and Psalm 24. Psalm 23 is all about the Priestly anointing/lifestyle and Psalm 24 is all about the Kingly anointing and taking the land by letting the King of Glory come in.

I believe one of the interpretations of the Man-child spoken of in Revelation 12 represents a body of overcomers arising from the midst of the Institutional Church and moving in the Priestly and Kingly anointing with awesome demonstrations of power. This Man-child, or God's people, have been tucked away in the wilderness for many years (Psalm 23). I believe the purpose for us being in the wilderness has been that we, as God's people, would learn how to eat of the Lord even in the midst of pain, trial, death, and dryness.

One characteristic of being an overcomer is learning to find the underground flow of God's presence and power even in the midst of the desert. This is the life of the priest. The priest must die to self and learn to feast at God's table in the presence of their enemies. So many believers live from one revival to another or one conference to another and just drink from those outpourings. However, God is looking for those who have learned to feed upon Him even in the wilderness and have now become a drink for others to drink from. This is Psalm 23. Even in the valley of the shadow of death we are feasting at God's table and we are in the place where oil is being continuously poured out upon our heads.

These overcomers that are about to emerge on the scene are ones who have been lying down in green pastures and are lead by the still waters. They have been feeding and feasting at the Lord's Table and they are overflowing with the oil of heaven. This is the place of intimacy and maturing in our relationship with God.

It is now time that we enter into Psalm 24. I believe Psalm 24 will be a key passage for the church in this next season. It's time to lift up our heads to the Lord and let the King of Glory come in and wage war through us.


Crossing Over

Deuteronomy 6:23 says this:

"Then He brought us out from there, that He might bring us in, to give us the land of which He swore to our fathers."

I believe God's people today have been delivered from Egypt, which represents slavery, bondage, the flesh, the body, etc. We have gone through the wilderness, which represents the soul, grumbling, complaining, etc. And I believe we are now positioned to cross the Jordan and take the promised land. I believe the church has been sipping from the Jordan River from the wilderness side while longing to enter into the promised land.

The promised land represents the fullness of God, the fullness of all His promises to us. It represents coming back to the place of the Garden of Eden where there was rest and refreshing and a 24-hour-a-day consciousness of God. The promised land represents living in the manifest glory of God.

The second oil of this overcoming anointing is a holy violence and hunger to work the works of God on the earth. We are in a time of war!


A Changing of the Guard; A Changing Season

There is a changing of the guard and a changing of the season that is upon the church. We are going from Esau to Jacob, Saul to David, Eli to Samuel, Saul to Paul, and Moses to Joshua. The Lord said to Joshua, "Moses is dead, now arise, go over the Jordan and possess the land." He told Joshua to be strong and very courageous. In Joshua 3:4-7 the Lord said you have not passed this way before, therefore sanctify yourselves this day so I may do wonders among you tomorrow. Then the Lord told Joshua that He was about to exalt him in the eyes of all Israel and they would know that as He was with Moses so He would also be with Joshua.

God wants to do the same with His people. He wants to extend that scepter to us and exalt the true church in the eyes of the world. But what was it that made God choose Joshua? Whenever Moses would leave the tent of meeting after talking with the Lord, Joshua would remain behind and linger in the presence of God. Joshua lived for the presence of God and, therefore, Joshua carried the spirit of an overcomer and was chosen to lead all Israel into their destiny.

In Numbers 13 Moses sent 12 spies into the promised land to spy it out. Ten of them came back with a negative report. They said the land looked great but the people were huge and undefeatable. They said they were like grasshoppers in their own eyes, therefore they were seen as grasshoppers in the eyes of the people. But Caleb and Joshua stood up with the spirit of an overcomer and proclaimed that they were well able to overcome the enemies of the land and they must possess it. This is the mindset that comes when the oil of the Overcomer is poured out upon us. This is how we think when we are living as true priests and kings.

Warrior Mindset Replacing the Grasshopper Mentality

Joshua said in Numbers 14:8 that if the Lord delighted in them, then He would give them the land and the enemies of the land would be their bread and they would eat them for lunch. Joshua and Caleb were the only ones spared from that generation because God said they had a different spirit in them. They had a revelation that God delighted in them and, therefore, they knew they could overcome any enemy.

I recently had an unusual dream. There were many people in this dream and all of them were covered in urine. It was very odd. I awoke from the dream and the Lord immediately dropped a Scripture into my heart.

Psalm 34:5,8
"They looked to Him and were radiant, and their faces were not ashamed. Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good."

The Lord spoke to me through this dream about the current condition of many believers. Many believers today are consumed with a feeling of hopelessness. They feel that their life is a waste and doesn't count for anything. Hope deferred has made their hearts sick. They have no sense of destiny; therefore, in the dream everyone was covered with urine, which is a form of waste. But those who have been looking upon Him and feeding upon Him are becoming radiant, and the shame of their lives is being washed away because they are tasting that the Lord is good. They are shedding that grasshopper mentality and God has been pouring the oil of an overcomer over their lives.

I'm prophesying to you now that God is about to pour out this Oil of an Overcomer, and those who have been hidden in the wilderness and feasting on the Lord are about to emerge on the scene and they will be gripped with holy hunger and a holy violence to lay hold of their inheritance and they will not be denied.


Are You Ready for the Oil?

The Spirit of an Overcomer is described in two places in Scripture, Ephesians 3:16 and Psalm 92:10-15. Jesus' inheritance is that the manifold wisdom of God would be displayed by the church to the principalities and powers in heavenly places (Ephesians 3:10). In order for this to be fulfilled we must overcome the world and bring heaven to earth daily. Paul prays in Ephesians 3:16 that through the Holy Spirit we would be strengthened with might in our inner-man. The anointing to overcome comes by the spirit of counsel and might.

Psalm 92:10-15 is the other place this overcoming anointing is mentioned. God is going to anoint our strength like a wild ox. He is going to anoint us with fresh oil. The ones that have been hidden in the wilderness for years have learned how to be a palm tree in the midst of the desert. They have become planted in the House of God and have learned to flourish and feast at God's banqueting table. God is going to release the Spirit of an Overcomer on these ones that they might declare and release the righteousness and justice of God on the earth.

It's time to take action and take the Land. It's time to arise out of the wilderness and begin to operate in the fullness of God's anointing with awesome displays of glory and power. Daniel 11:32b says this:

"The people who know their God shall be strong, and carry out great exploits."

Position yourselves today for the outpouring of this end-time overcoming anointing. Let God infuse you with the strength of heaven and fill you with the anointing to overcome! Let the Sons and Daughters of Fresh Oil arise and come forth! Let the people of the world declare:

Song of Solomon 8:5
"Who is this coming up from the wilderness, leaning upon her beloved?"

A holy militancy is about to be poured out upon God's people. It's a Breakthrough and a Breakout anointing! Are you positioned to receive it?

Lord, we ask you now to begin to pour out the Spirit of the Overcomer. Let there be a supernatural release of the shout of war upon Your people. We lift up our heads to You and ask that the King of Glory would come in and breakthrough so that we can breakout. Lord, stir your people out of the wilderness and grip us with a holy violence and jealousy to lay hold of our inheritance. May we be strong and do great exploits in Your Name!
