In 1982, I saw one of the most profound healings I've seen to date. A friend with debilitating arthritis was completely healed before our eyes, simply because our Campus Crusade for Christ Bible study decided to take a chance on "healing prayer."

In 1985, I learned there was a church that specialized in healing for everyone. It was the Vineyard. I was "there" the next Sunday in Anaheim to listen to John Wimber and, on my first visit, had tears streaming down my face because of the sweet presence of the Lord.

What an anointing . . . especially in those early days!

Much later, and after almost 10 years of attending various Vineyards (and other churches when we moved to the East Coast for a time), we have moved to the Northwest where we now live.

During this time period I had developed my own business of providing surprise reunions of "missing persons" for the national TV talk shows. I was even on the Geraldo Rivera show three times. Through this skill I'd learned, I took on, for free, the task of locating John Wimber's long-lost brothers that he had never met. I worked with John Wimber's daughter, Stephanie. (I'd learned of this situation through my own Vineyard pastor at that time.)

The story of that reunion and my name are even mentioned in Carol Wimber's book, "THE WAY IT WAS" (1999).

I netted a nice-sized case of awesome Vineyard CD's for that reunion, and it was perhaps one of the most meaningful reunions I have ever accomplished. I understand that, as a result, at least one of John's brothers gave his heart to the Lord.

This "Wimber" reunion happened several years before THE ELIJAH LIST was a gleam in my eye, although it had been prophesied years before it came into being.

I currently speak all over the USA and in different places in the world, and I love ALL the expressions of God's people. But I do truly enjoy and hold dear to my heart the Vineyard also, where I attend locally here in Albany, Oregon.

With that in mind, and with my long-time love for the Vineyard, please read this Word for the Vineyard Movement and the Angels who work in the Vineyard.

Kathie and David Walters have ministered in our fellowship and I found them to be very encouraging and real. The following word is good news for the Vineyard.

I love our movement and what John and Carol Wimber brought to the body of Christ with their ministry and the emerging Vineyard movement. John had a sensitivity to the Holy Spirit, both in conducting meetings and leading the movement that was freeing and life giving. In fact, I would say one of his strongest giftings was "prophetic leadership."

Without a prophetic spirit, the church seems to lose power, both in evangelism and in signs and wonders. I believe at the heart of what the Holy Spirit is saying here, through Kathie, is a great encouragement to all of us who love the Vineyard movement. To me, the colors also represent the uniqueness our movement has had and the freedom to be and enjoy the variety of His gifts, His Presence, and just letting God be God in our midst.

The body of Christ at large is in desperate need of more of His presence and power. We all need to pray for a fresh move of God for the sake of Christ, the lost, and future generations.

One word of clarification . . .

In this prophetic word, the angel says to Kathie, "Come, it is not to works I have called you but to intimacy and life . . . "

The above quote by the angel should be understood in the full context of Scripture. As far as salvation and personal identity in Christ, it is true, no church and no Believer is called to works alone -- something that many Christians forget. Salvation and our gifts and callings are first and foremost for relationship and intimacy with Christ, the very things God has also been telling me for several years.

Simultaneously, however, we should also not lose sight of the fact that Jesus also said in Matthew 5:16:

"Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven." NKJV (Emphasis mine)

Both must be kept in mind as you read this word from the Lord.

A Prophetic Word to the Vineyard Through Kathie Walters:

This word came to me first in March of 2004, but I feel it should be released at this time.

While I was in California last weekend at a Vineyard church in Frazier Park, the Lord gave me a vision for the Vineyard movement.


The Angels Who Work in The Vineyard Movement

Years ago, I had a dream and the Lord told me to pray for the Vineyard Ministry. We had ministered in some of the Vineyard churches and met various Pastors, but we had never met John Wimber, founder of the Vineyard movement. I had seen the Vineyard angels a couple of times -- they were always dressed like workmen. I had seen them helping John Wimber in a dream one time.

One Sunday, the 7th of March, 2004, I had a vision of these same two angels, who again were dressed like workmen. They were carrying buckets of paint. The paints were bright colors, i.e. Blue, Purple, Red, Green, Bright White.

They were walking up to a large house, like a mansion, bigger than the house I saw before. The house was old looking, but structurally sound. It was brown, which looked to me as being somewhat out-dated.

Then the Lord began to give me this word: "The paint is to bring back the brightness and liveliness to the Vineyard; to bring it up to date and give the Vineyard a strong voice again in the U.S. Christian community."


"The Prophetic Word is Released to Move You Forward"

The Lord has told me several times that the Prophetic Word is released to MOVE YOU FORWARD. The "proceeding word," as Jesus spoke of in Matthew 4:4, is to cause you to proceed . . .

. . . And to infuse life into others.

[But He answered and said, "It is written, 'Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.'" Matthew 4:4 NKJV, Emphasis mine]

I heard the Lord say this about the Vineyard shortly after I had this vision of the Angels with the paint:

"You must embrace the prophetic word and again minister and raise up the prophetic ministries so that you move forward. You cannot stay where you are; you must fulfill the calling and destiny on the ministry. You cannot move into the plan and government of God without the Prophetic and Apostolic.

"The Prophetic ministry is not perfected, nor is the Evangelism and Pastoral and Teaching ministry perfected. You cannot have a second generation anointing. This young generation must have their own impartation and anointing and experience of God."


"I Have Called You To Intimacy"

Later on I had a vision of a beautiful woman.

She was in a ballroom which was full of light. She was dancing with the most wonderful Prince. He was dressed in white and gold. Her dress was colored -- in blue, purple, red, bright white, and green -- the same colors as the paint. In her hair was some orange ribbon.

Then the Lord said to me:

"Come, it is not to works I have called you, but to intimacy and life and the brightness of My Face and the lightness of My glory. You have grown and matured, yet I desire and love the childlikeness of you enjoying My Presence. I love the release of your laughter and your joy in Me."

Then an Angel sang to me the first line of an old song, "Where do you go to my lovely? What are the thoughts that surround you?"

The Lord said to the Vineyard Ministry, "What are you thinking? You must line up your thoughts with My thoughts, your agenda with My agenda. For this you need the prophetic voice. There are prophets in the house that are silent."

The supernatural realm of the Spirit, the Angels, the heavenly visitations are meant to be a normal part of the life of every Spirit-filled Christian. John Wimber believed this and embraced it.

Revelation and Mercy

Then an Angel came to my house and brought me honey (honey represents the spirit of revelation with mercy. Jonathan ate the honey and his eyes were enlightened -- I Samuel 14:26-30). John Wimber had a strong vision one time and revelation regarding honey (included below is that story of the honey).

Well, I smelled honey when the Lord was talking to me about the Vineyard Ministry, and I still smell honey when I am talking or emailing various Vineyard pastors and leaders. I even smell the aroma of honey writing this.

So, He is sending the Angels of God to bring honey (revelation and mercy) to the Vineyard, and the two main Angels over the Vineyard Ministry are the workmen who are coming to restore the life and vitality and the prophetic word, signs and wonders, and manifestations of the Presence of the Lord.

As John Wimber allowed them in to work "in the house" years ago, will you allow them again to do what they have come to do?


Here is the word from John Wimber about the HONEY:

John Wimber's "Honeycomb" Vision

"It really works," I thought, as I winded my way toward home, "and God used me as a vehicle of His healing mercy." Then I was jolted out of my jubilant mood by an incredible vision.

Suddenly, in my mind's eye, there appeared to be a cloud bank superimposed across the sky. But I had never seen a cloud bank like this one, so I pulled my car over to the side of the road to take a closer look. Then I realized it was not a cloud bank, but it was a honeycomb with honey dripping out on to people below. The people were in a variety of postures. Some were reverent; they were weeping and holding their hands out to catch the honey and taste it, even inviting others to take some of their honey. Others acted irritated, wiping the honey off of themselves, complaining about the mess.

I was awestruck. Not knowing what to think, I prayed, "Oh Lord, what is it?"

He said, "It's my mercy, John. For some people it's a blessing, but for others it's a hindrance. There's plenty for everyone. Don't ever beg me for healing again. The problem isn't on my end, John. It's down there."

That was a moving and profound experience; certainly it revolutionized my life more than any other experience I had since becoming a Christian. I have never looked at healing the same way since that day.

"Where do you go to My lovely? What are you thinking?"

"As you line up your thoughts and ways with Me, then there will be a release of My Power and joy into the ministry."
