Ella Onakoya: "A Time of Deliverance & an Alert to Lock Your Doors"

Even the souls of the wicked are crying out for redemption and deliverance. Testimonies of satanists and witches who have turned to the Lord show that even they can be set free. After all, Scripture says that the earnest expectation of all creation waits for the manifestation of the sons of God (see Romans 8:19). The tide is turning, even for the wicked in heart, through the outpouring of God's move of deliverance that's being released all over the earth.

Scripture tells us in 2 Peter 3:9: "The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance."

Now that's a word for us all to pray into for those the Lord has us encounter... He wants to give everyone everlasting life.

Earlier this year, in one night, the Lord gave me two separate dreams that I feel are of importance to the Body of Christ. I shared them on Facebook earlier in the year, but now feel led to share them with the wider Body of Christ, with more detailed directives given.

My First Dream: A Time of Deliverance

In the first dream, I was at a church service where it looked as if I was there to observe what was going on. I saw a man come into the meeting. His heart was to be a part of the move of God. His heart was to belong to God, but he was also terribly wounded. He had a demonic presence in him, but he wanted to be free.

He came to the church time after time, hoping that someone would set him free, but no one seemed to notice, minister or pray for him. Suddenly, one day, he became overwhelmed by the demonic presence in him. As the demons overwhelmed him, he snapped and went on a rampage, injuring and hurting people within the church.

I woke up from the dream with a message that the Church needed to awaken to the authority and power they carry, and to the commission of Jesus to cast out demons. The demonically oppressed man I saw in my first dream represented many in the Body who come in broken, wounded and possessed or oppressed by demons. As the Church watches, unawakened to the power they carry within, these wounded and demonically possessed ones become overtaken by the evil powers within, and become vessels of the enemy to hurt others, seeking to destroy lives or going into a self-destructive mode that damages their own lives.

If we don't set them free, they will be used by the enemy instead of becoming who God has called them to be.

How do we set the demonized free? We bind the demons in them in the name of Jesus, loose their souls or spirits from the demons' control, then cast the spirits out.

I have taught in my schools of deliverance that I usually cast the spirits out into the outer darkness, where the other fallen angels are bound in 2 Peter 2:4, or tell them to go where Jesus sends them.

The Anointing to Heal Wounded Hearts

"'For I will restore health to you and heal you of your wounds,' says the LORD, 'because they called you an outcast saying: "This is Zion; no one seeks her."'" (Jeremiah 30:17)

There are wounds in hearts that desperately need healing through the anointing so that they do not degenerate into self-destruction or fester, causing harm to the body. Having been delivered by the Lord of severe depression, self-harm and suicidal thoughts when I was a teenager, I know firsthand what it means to be delivered by the Lord, as I was delivered supernaturally. By God's grace throughout the years, I have also seen many set free and delivered too.

One of the more recent testimonies of a person being set free by the anointing came from a 14-year-old girl, who I was told had tried to commit suicide and had been hospitalized. She was unknown to me, but moved by compassion and faith, I went to visit her at the hospital. With haunted eyes, the girl said that she had no desire to live as she felt unwanted in the world. These were obviously lies of the enemy that had left deep wounds in her heart, causing her to become self-destructive. She had been saved for about a year, and had suffered from suicidal thoughts that had not been dealt with in the church community she was a part of.

The power of love, through the anointing, touched and freed her as I held her in my arms, praying and speaking words of freedom, affirmation and love over her. Miraculously, after praying for her, her face lit up as if she was a new person. Her eyes shone with the light of the freedom she had just received.

Months later, the girl wrote me to let me know about her personal life journey, and her journey with the Lord since He had me pray for her. She said she was doing well, as the power of the enemy had been broken off of her and her heart wounds had been healed by the anointing.

I have seen many others healed supernaturally of mental illnesses and heart conditions, including bipolar disorder and depression. The Redemptive Plan of God for the Wicked in Heart

In one of my meetings, there was a witch (or one who practiced witchcraft) who came into the meeting where I was ministering. I did not know she was a witch until she spoke to me at the front of the prayer line as I prayed, requesting I pray for her. She told me she came into the meeting seeking deliverance from the witchcraft that was in her. She wanted to be free. So I did what Jesus said we should do, and bound and cast the witchcraft out of her. She testified that she felt the evil spirit of witchcraft come out of her. (Sometimes I have prayed and seen people healed of headaches which were signs of witchcraft attacks. When these workers of darkness are set free, they often become wonderful evangelists of the Kingdom, instead of agents of destruction.)

The Kingdom of Light and God's Love – Two Important Keys to Deliverance

A few months ago, I had an unusual encounter with a witchdoctor. Whilst out in London, I approached someone in a store to chat about the Gospel and Jesus. He said he was Catholic, but as he spoke, I could sense a strong spirit of deception around him. Normally, I would pray quietly in my heart when dealing with an unsaved person, but that day I felt led to pray so he could hear me. I prayed and bound the spirit of deception. As I prayed, the anointing exposed his true heart and nature. His eyes darkening, he asked if I knew who he was, revealing himself to be a witchdoctor, and began to describe some of the evil things he practiced.

He then revealed that when looked at me, he saw me walking in huge pools of light and love, and that it was due to the love he saw that he did not react to me badly, as he had done with others who preached to him. He said he could see that everything I did was in love.

I exhorted him to turn from darkness to Jesus, the true Light. As I walked away, I thought about what he said. Although it was not his intention, he had revealed two keys we need to overcome darkness and set others free: the overflow of God's love, and the light of God's Kingdom.

Church, we need to awaken to the authority and power of God that we carry within us, and to obey the commission of Jesus to set the oppressed free.

My Second Dream: Locking Your Doors

In my second dream I had that same night, I was on assignment to warn many in the Body of Christ to lock their doors. In regard to this dream, I believe the Lord is wanting me give this alert: Lock and guard the doors of your heart with love unfeigned, with faith in Jesus and with your full armor. Lock and guard the door of your family, your church, your community and your nation with effectual, fervent prayers, and with a walk of purity and holiness, so the enemy will not have access.

It is time to rebuild the walls or doors of prayers that have come apart. May we lock and guard our doors in this season.
