Leaders In Spain Issue World-Wide 'Fatwa' Against Osama Bin Laden"

On the anniversary of the March 11, 2004, Madrid train bombings, the
Islamic Commission of Spain -- which represents Spain's 1-million Muslims -- has
issued the world's first "fatwa" (Islamic edict) against Osama bin Laden. They
also invited imams to condemn terrorism and urged Muslims around the world to
denounce bin Laden.
The fatwa states that according to the Quran "the terrorist acts of Osama bin
Laden and his organization Al Qaeda . . . are totally banned and must be roundly
condemned as part of Islam."
It added: "Inasmuch as Osama bin Laden and his organization defend terrorism as
legal and try to base it on the Quran . . . they are committing the crime of 'istihlal'
and thus become apostates that should not be considered Muslims or treated as
such." (Note: "istihlal" refers to the act of making up one's own laws.)
The 3/11 commission's secretary general, Mansur Escudero, called it an
unprecedented condemnation of Bin Laden.

ONLY' INVITATION . . . TO STAND IN 'PROXY' FOR HEALING AND DELIVERANCE FOR OUR
LOVED ONES! THE SCEPTER IS UP . . . ALL RISE!"

 The
word "proxy" means "the authority to act or stand in place of another."
I will never forget when I first got saved and was attending a miracle service
in Pittsburgh, PA. The speaker received a word of knowledge that night that
people in the service were being delivered from nicotine (cigarettes). He then
went on to share that if anyone had a loved one that was bound by cigarettes,
who was not even in the meeting, that they could stand up in "proxy" for that
person and God would deliver that person by faith!
My father smoked for 25 years and could never stop on his own. He tried many
times to no avail. I felt led to respond to this invitation and go forward to
stand in the place of my father who was sixty miles away at home, probably
smoking a cigarette at that moment. I stood in the place of my father as if he
was there himself in front of the Lord, and I was believing God to deliver him
forever.
I drove home after the meeting and shared with my mother in the kitchen what I
had done in the meeting for dad that evening. My father was watching TV in the
living room and I didn't realize he was overhearing me telling mom what
happened. He walked out into the kitchen and said, "Maybe that is why when I lit
up a cigarette about 8 o'clock this evening, it didn't taste right and I died it
out!"
My father never smoked another
cigarette from that moment on the rest of his life! Dad wasn't even saved at the
time and wasn't going to church either! He got saved later on in years and lived
to be eighty-five years old. I know his deliverance that night revealed God to
him and later brought him into the kingdom and extended his life span!
"YOU HAVE A STANDING INVITATION!"
Maybe you have a loved one right now who is so bound by sin and addiction. Maybe
so bound that they will never come to God on their own. But I see a scepter
rising for you to stand in their place for a moment in time . . . to believe
that they are right there standing in the presence of God. I believe it is one
of the highest acts of intercession on earth that we can do.
Queen Esther went before the king to "stand" in place of the Jewish people. Her
standing in the King's presence brought deliverance to God's people and they
were spared and delivered from death.
In Matthew 8:5-10 there was a centurion who came to Jesus, beseeching him,
saying:
"'Lord, my
servant lieth home sick of the palsy.'
"Jesus said, 'I
will come and heal him.'
"The centurion
answered and said, 'Lord, I am not worthy for you to come under my roof; but
speak the word only, and my servant shall be healed.'
"When
Jesus heard this he marveled and said to them that followed , 'I have not found
so great faith . . . no, not in all of Israel!' And Jesus said to the centurion,
'Go thy way; and as thou hast believed, so be it done unto thee.'"
I believe that this was a type of "proxy" -- the centurion was coming and
beseeching and standing in for his servant at home. And Jesus called it the
"greatest" faith He had ever seen on earth! And his servant was healed the same
hour!
Go ahead. Have great faith and stand in proxy for your loved ones.
"You have a 'standing' invitation!"
