Elijah List Family and ALL your friends,
Personally, this is the single largest financial miracle I've ever seen with my
own eyes.
God told Denny Cline that if he'd raise $100,000 for a plane for Rolland and
Heidi Baker's orphan ministry, He'd multiply it 10 times over. I would not
have had the faith for it, but Pastor Denny (my pastor and friend) did . . . and in
one offering appeal, he DID have that kind of faith, and In just a few days in came that
$100,000.
"God I repent that I didn't have the faith that you
could raise $100,000 through one church in Albany, Oregon."
Before Denny took up the offering, he asked me that -- if he raised the $100,000
through the church -- if I'd put out an appeal to the ELIJAH LIST. I said "yes"
right away, but I admit that I never have seen this kind of money raised in any
offering -- so I hardly expected to be writing this letter to you.
Just one of you reading this can supply the amount needed, or perhaps all
125,000 of you will donate to complete the million or million and a half dollars
needed.
You can now be part of God's amazing miracle work . . . HE works through regular
people like you and me . . . and I now know that more than ever before.
Well you partner with Heidi and Rolland Baker to get this airplane "off the
ground" to save thousands of lives?
Oh my goodness, "HOW CAN WE NOT?" -- that's my question.

Subject: Miracle of Giving
One of the highlights of the conference we just completed -- for me, personally -- was a huge miracle of giving.
We seldom take offerings at our conferences that have a registration fee unless
it is for a cause.
When Rolland Baker arrived the first day, I asked him, in the course of just
catching up from my time with him and Heidi in Malawi, what had happened with
their getting a new plane for their ministry. You see, for several years they
have operated out of a small Cessna that can seat two or three people and some
gear.
It’s unbelievable what they have pulled off out of that plane. They have needed
a bigger one and -- now are sorry that they had a few years ago turned down a 747
airliner offered to their ministry.
The thing was they had no pilot, the cost for fuel was too high and, of course,
they had nowhere to land such a plane. This plane would have been used to bring
relief to many hurting, even starving men, women, and children in Africa. But
that plane, though it probably exists somewhere (or perhaps has yet to be built)
will someday be in their possession with the pilot(s), the fuel, and the landing
strips that God intends . . . IF YOU HELP.
The need has still been there for something bigger to take 10 or more people and
lots of gear and relief supplies to these wonderful, yet needy people. Heidi and
Rolland have a vision to reach a million children as soon as possible.
They well know that with each passing day thousands and thousands are dying,
starving. Others are going into prostitution and other things just to
survive.
If the western world really knew what was going on, could we continue to let it
keep going this way? Rolland and Heidi do know what's going on.
They live there. And they are giving their all to do what they can.
Well, Rolland told me that every time they would get a promise or a hope about
the plane, it would just not materialize.
I couldn’t stop thinking about it all day and prayed and asked God how we could
help? After all, we are just one little group, one little conference, and they
need a million or million and a half dollars for the kind of plane that will
allow them to take a whole team and supplies into a region.
GOD PROMISED IF WE RAISED $100,000, HE'D MAKE IT INTO A
MILLION DOLLARS!
God spoke to my heart to take the need to the people at the conference and to
believe for 100,000 dollars. He said that He would multiply whatever came in by
10 times. I didn’t and don’t know how that is going to happen. But by Sunday
morning we had 100,000 dollars in offerings that include a few pledges that will
come in. In real money, without the pledges, there is about 97,000 dollars already
deposited.
This is truly a miracle of giving. Rolland and Heidi agree. They were
overwhelmed by what the Holy Spirit did in the conference and the love of the
body of Christ. What a privilege it is to be a part of something like this.
As I said, I believe God intends to multiply this now by 10 times. Letting you
all on the Elijah List know is a part of it. I don’t know how He is going to
accomplish it, but He moved on peoples hearts to fulfill His word about the
100,000 dollars. So I have no doubt He will turn it into 1 million.
There are others who were there -- some of you who may be reading this. I have had
a few people who, on their own, are going to people outside the church, other
ministries, etc., to let them know. Wouldn’t it be wonderful if the Bakers and
Iris Ministries who have given so much, done so much, with so little, could have
a new plane by year's end? OR EVEN SOONER?
I believe the money could be there in a few months or less, but it takes time to
build the plane if that's the way God provides . . . Rolland is looking at all
options for getting the right plane. Whatever they decide, I would like them to
really get what they know they need to reach the children in these very
underdeveloped areas.

Heidi and Rolland Baker are looking to buy a commercial grade airliner. But it
will probably have to be something custom made.
It’s not meant to be a passenger plane, but a cargo plane. It should carry
people too, but not for it’s sole purpose. There is no picture, because there is
no plane. Rolland has been looking into it for some time now.
It will be used to bring in food and supplies to places like the Sudan, and more
destitute places in Africa where supplies are not readily available and only
funds are needed to purchase them.
They are bringing in life-giving resources to many places where even if people
had money to buy food or clothing, or medicines or building materials . . . they would
have none to buy because there is just nothing.
Lives will be saved by the purchase of this plane. Currently they are trying to
do this work with a smaller Cessna jet. They aren’t able to do a "drop in the
bucket" of what could be done with that little plane . . . they need a BIG ol'
airplane.
They have huge work to do. Every dollar given to this project will truly be used
to save lives, both in the natural in the spiritual. Not only to they bring the
precious Gospel of Christ, but the works as well.
And that opens the doors so hugely to the places most people can never get in
otherwise. They have great spiritual need, but they also need what we take so
for granted . . . food, water, shelter, clothing, love.
I can think of nothing greater to sow into.
