 Dear
Elijah List Readers,
I love this word. It makes perfect SCRIPTURAL
and "God-spoke-this-to-me" sense.
In the last few years, God has made it clear that my battles -- indeed, the church's
battles -- are more successfully fought through humbling ourselves . . . ("humility
comes before honor" --) than through militant fighting . . . because the weapons
of OUR warfare are not carnal but spiritual.
I've prayed intense prayers and seen good breakthroughs.
But, then, I've experimented and prayed "humble" prayers on my knees, identifying
with my sins -- and those around me have seen GREAT breakthroughs.
Enjoy and be edified by this word!

"IF We Do, He Will Heal Our LAND!"

 After
having several dreams about tsunamis on our east AND west coasts and recent dreams about
volcanoes where lava was running down city streets -- and visions and sensations of
earthquakes -- I was surprised when the Lord gave me a different type of open vision
and the verse:
"If My people who are called by My name will humble
themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will
hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their LAND." -
1 Chronicles 7:14
I saw the word "LAND" very big and bold.
I said, "Wow, Lord! Do you REALLY mean that you would heal our LAND? LITERALLY?!"
Then I saw, under ground, lava flowing into the cracks of huge earthquake faults,
as if it was hot welding material, sealing up the cracks. When that release happened,
it then calmed the volcanoes.
I said, "Lord, some may think I'm crazy if I say this!"
So, then He led me to read this . . .
"But if they had
stood in My counsel, and had caused My people to hear My words, then they would
have turned them from their evil way and from the evil of their doings. "
- Jeremiah 23:22
That would certainly be my prayer!
"IF WE DO, HE WILL HEAL OUR LAND!"
So, I don't care what others think - I'm trusting and believing in the Lord. And
I'm believing that He was showing me that He actually could and would do what He
said -- IF we, as a nation, would publicly:
1) Humble ourselves and acknowledge
Him, our need for Him, and our trust in Him
2) Pray to Him
3) Seek His face
4) Turn from our wicked ways -- meaning repent of and no longer do that which
needs repented for.
I believe this is a time of grace -- a "grace
period" -- when the Lord is saying that, as a nation, He is giving us a "space to
repent" so that things like what we've seen happen overseas do not happen here.
I believe the many hurricanes we had last year were a sign to us, as well, that
our nation is being "blown upon" and called to repentance.
OUR PRAYER AND REPENTANCE
As a nation, some of those things I saw that we were to corporately pray for and
repent of (turn from) in this time would be abortion, homosexuality, etc. And, individually,
whatever that would also mean for each of us.
The Bible is clear that we all sin and fall short of the glory of God. So this is
a call to all of us to participate in whatever way the Lord leads each of us to
do so.
The Lord speaks to us as He spoke to Israel:
19 " . . . How can I put you among the children and give you a pleasant land,
a beautiful heritage of the hosts of the nations? . . . You shall call Me, 'My Father'
and not turn away from Me.
20 "Surely, as a wife treacherously departs from her husband,
so have you dealt treacherously with Me . . .
21 "A voice was heard on the desolate heights, weeping and
supplications of the children of Israel. For they have perverted their way; They
have forgotten the Lord their God.
22 "Return, you back-sliding children, and I will heal your
backslidings . . . " - Jeremiah 3:19-22
1 "'IF you will return . . . ' says
the Lord, 'Return to ME, and IF you will put away your abominations out of My sight,
then you shall not be moved.
2 "And you shall swear, 'The Lord lives,' in truth, in judgment,
and in righteousness; the nations shall bless themselves in Him, and in Him they
shall glory." - Jeremiah 4:1-2
PRAYER
Lord, we cry out to you, individually, and we agree together that we have sinned
and are sorry, and that we want revival and healing in our land, and healing OF
our land.
We thank You for Your Word and Your promises, and we repent on behalf of our nation
for abortion, homosexuality, and all of the other things that are a stench in your
nostrils, including our personal sins (and each of us can list those to Him
here).
We acknowledge and repent from our sins. We receive your cleansing, sanctification,
and the covering of the blood of Jesus, and we ask your help in staying away from
them. And we DO ask for and believe that you can heal our LAND! In Jesus' name,
Amen.

Paul, the Apostle,
was "caught up" into a "transported" experience, as was John the Revelator,
