**Bonnie has the heart of a worshipper,
intercessor, and one who wants to see the next generation arise.**
"From the mouths of infants and sucklings you
have founded strength on account of Your foes, to put an end to enemy and
avenger." Psalm 8:2
A whole new company of prophets is arising on
the scene. . . Most of them are anywhere from 3-1/2 to 4 feet tall, weighing around
forty pounds, and specializing in finger painting, Legos, and the art of story
telling. These are the K-Kids, the Samuels, members of the Omega generation, who
are being released in the gifts of the Holy Spirit in churches across America
and around the world.
With the revelation that there is no "junior"
Holy Spirit, but "one Holy Spirit" (1 Corinthians 12:11), children's church
ministers are adapting their more orthodox and routine curriculums to include
times of activating these miniature ministers in their giftings. Standard
classroom activities have moved beyond the basic Bible story and snack time.
Today's progressive curriculums include: "circle time" for prayers of healing
with the laying on of hands, warfare prayers against the works of the devil, and
prayers for the nations by laying hands on maps of the world or passing giant
balls painted like a globe of the world. Children are being activated to use
their prophetic giftings as teachers sit these "pee wee prophets" in would-be
reading circles and release them to share what they see or hear after a time of
"quiet prayer" and a time of listening to what the Lord is saying.
When children are encouraged with the written
Word that tells them the Holy Spirit is theirs for the asking (Luke 11:13, 1
Corinthians 7:7) and then are given opportunity to exercise their gifts (Hebrews
5:14), we see them move with as much zeal, passion, and boldness as their senior
counterparts. In many ways they are even less reserved than their elders as they
have not become encumbered by any idea of performance or fallen subject to a
man-pleasing spirit.
This pint-sized prophet
boldly took her turn, releasing words of edification...
Not long ago I was able to witness first-hand
the results of such training within our K-Kids ministry, which I had the
pleasure of serving as master teacher for over seven years. Our Friday night
service is followed up by a time of prophetic "call-out." One of the prophetic
team members has a precocious daughter whom I have watched blossom into her
prophetic gift, unreserved prayer, and praise. As the senior members of the team
took their turn to minister the word of the Lord to attendees, this pint-sized
prophet boldly took her turn releasing words of edification, impartation, and
comfort without missing a beat.
Recently, during corporate evening prayer, our
Bishop's four year-old grandson had a vision that he shared among the
predominately grown-up assembly. Found within this young seer's simplistic
vision was a profound word from the Lord. In essence, we were admonished, "We
must decrease so that He can increase" (John 3:30).
Chuck Pierce wrote the following in a 21-day
prayer focus titled "Praying Like Daniel" (July 20, 2004 Prayer Alert,
www.glory-of-zion.org):
"We need to train our children in the
release of the anointing, discerning of evil spirits, and how to operate in
receiving divine revelation from the Throne Room. I feel this is a time to train
our children in a supernatural dimension that will give them authority in the
days ahead on this earth. I do not want my children to be afraid of the
supernatural. We find, in the first two chapters of Daniel, that he was trained to
understand the supernatural; knowing how to receive divine revelation. He knew
how to seek the Lord in almost any situation. The Lord is going to require us to
parent our children like this in days ahead."
The days of thinking that children are to be
seen and not heard must come to an end. It is on God's heart and agenda that
these members of the finishing generation be given every opportunity to exercise
their gifts and become trained in hearing the voice of God to release His word,
legislate His will from the heavenlies, destroy the works of the devil, and move
in signs, wonders and miracles. We must acknowledge the voice of the Lord within
these future Kingdom leaders and world shapers and recognize who's talking too!

This painting represents three Children of God
that I know personally. However, we can become Children of God at any age. What
is awesome is that no matter what ethnic race we come from, no matter what age
we are, no matter what religion we are born into, we can become God's children.
How do we become Children of the True Living God? It's by having a personal
relationship with the One who has made that way possible for us and His name is
Jesus Christ. You see, the Word of God is the Truth -- it's alive, it's powerful,
and it's accurate yesterday, today and forever.
I was raised in a very popular religion, but God wasn't in it. I was taught that
if we did enough good works it would get us into Heaven. Well, the religion
brought no truth or life. I was a walking dead person until God sought me out
and drew me by His Spirit unto Him and gave me Life through His Son Jesus. This
was the missing piece I had been searching for all my life. God used a
missionary who spoke the Word of God on Salvation -- being born again into the
Kingdom of God so we could be one of His Children. That night in 1980, I became
a child of God!
It's a free gift to us from God, that we have the privilege to know the Living
God personally. He loves us that much! All we have to do is believe and receive
the One God sent to save us, and that is His Son, Jesus Christ.
God said, "If you confess with your mouth, 'Jesus is Lord,' and believe in your
heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your
heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you
confess and are saved" (Romans 10:9,10).
Jesus said, "there is only One way to God the Father, to Heaven, to eternal
life, and to become a child of God and that is through Jesus Christ." Jesus said
in John 14:6: "I am the way, the Truth, and the Life, no one comes to God the
Father except through Me."
So, if you want to become a Child of the Living God and live on this earth with
His Joy, Peace, and Love and know that the day when your time is over here on
earth that you will live with God for all eternity, then pray this prayer from
your heart:
"Dear Jesus, I ask that You would forgive me of all my sin, and I
thank you for surrendering Your life and for dying on the cross so that I may be
saved. For I believe in You and the Word of God, please fill me with your
Spirit. For I want to know You and serve You all the days of my life here on
earth."
