I woke up Friday Dec. 10th. and felt the time was significant-- 4:09 A.M. I also thought of the book of Isaiah. The Lord began to remind me of some things He had revealed initially, about 7 weeks prior-- that He expounded on the week of Nov. 28th to Dec. 4th when I was in England on a ministry trip.

He told me to write it down and submit it to The Elijah List. The amazing thing is that until the last 10 weeks, the last four years have been a rather quiet time in terms of hearing from God.

RADICAL HEALINGS IN THE PAST

In the mid and late 80's I had the privilege traveling with John Wimber in the United Kingdom. As a result I began receiving invitations to minister there and in other nations. From 1984 on, I saw blind eyes opened on several occasions, the deaf hearing, mutes speaking, heart conditions and cancers radically healed, Folks confined to wheelchairs totally healed and walking again-- everything except the dead raised.

Wherever we went we always expected and saw dynamic healing. Around 1992 the healing seemed to subside until it was the exception rather than the rule. During the last 14 months I have been stirred by the reality of the Kingdom.

My constant prayer has been, "O God, what is the problem and will I ever see you kingdom healing again?"

The Lord spoke to me in the beginning of November of this year and said, "The problem is a lack of faith in the church. When that problem is righted you will again see a powerful release of healing that will exceed what you witnessed in the 80's."

THE ANGELS ARE BORED

A week after the Lord gave me this wonderful word, a friend told me about a word that Bob Jones had given saying, "The angels are bored."

As I contemplated that word the Lord reminded me that angels are ministering spirits sent to minister on behalf of believers (Heb.1:14 & Psalm 91:11-12).

Then the word of the Lord came, "The angels are bored because they don't have much to do. There is too much preaching and talk about what God is doing in other places. There is not much faith in the church right now, because there is a lack of expectation that I am working or would work in and through ordinary believers in the local church, so believers aren't taking many risks-- that's why the angels are bored."

Faith is the issue that God is dealing with today. That's what God is saying to me and everywhere I go that's the message. Faith is the result of hearing the Rhema of God, the current living word.

A WORD TO PASTORS AND PREACHERS

It's not enough to teach and preach about what God did at one time in history. I am grateful for the Logos that is faithfully preached. It's not enough to teach and preach about what God is doing somewhere else in the world. I believe that what is needed in this season more than anything is Prophetic preaching.

As I understand it, Prophetic preaching is about the Rhema of God-- -- i.e. What God is doing today in the city, church, and neighborhood that people live in.

ENCOURAGE THE PROPHETS

Pastors, you need to encourage the Prophets in your churches to prophesy the Rhema of God-- i.e, the current thing God is doing. Do not forbid prophecy. One of the common problems that I see in the church in the U.S. and abroad is prophesy disdained-- True gifted and anointed people ignored or squelched rather than encouraged and pastored. God gives prophetic people to pastors so that they can pastor and mature them into mature ministry.

A WORD TO SEER'S AND PROPHETS

This is a time when the prophets and seers need to be stirred up to see and hear what the spirit is saying about His desire to anoint ordinary believers both in the church and in the community that they live in TODAY. God is doing something in every believer's life TODAY. The kingdom is here TODAY. When the Rhema is preached and prophesied, faith is released (Romans 10:17) and people begin to move and when the people of God move in faith-- the angels of God are dispatched and Kingdom activity is birthed.
