November 5th, 2004 - "For you have raised up a gatekeeper over this nation...George W. Bush. Though many do not agree with the way he is, I raised him up to pray. I raised him up to open up the gates of righteousness. I raised him up that he may open the floodgates, that heaven may bring forth a blessing upon this nation.

"Fallujah, there is a battle that will come to a swift end. For God will honor His President and give a swift victory in Fallujah.

"For as Arafat slips into eternity, I'm raising up a new generation that shall bring a short period of peace. And that short period of peace will give me access into the land that they call holy. Watch me, for the great victory that shall come before January in Fallujah and the regions surrounding Iraq; you will see it and they will not believe it. They will say, 'It's impossible! It's impossible!'" But God says, "How can it be impossible when you have elected a gatekeeper that shall watch over this nation with prayer and with praise? That's why you shall be honored - Fallujah!"

Dear Steve, I have received a Word from the Lord that I thought maybe you might want to share in the Elijah List. I saw today the word from Cindy and was glad you've been using the Elijah List for such a forum.


A Call to Intercessory Repentance for Our Nation

All of July and August the Lord woke me several times every night to pray. I would awaken to find my spirit grieving and weeping so intensely it was hard to breathe. Then the Lord would call me to pray: 1) In repentance that America has turned from belief in the absoluteness of the Ten Commandments, and 2) from the faith of the founding fathers.

Travail in repentance was followed by crying out to God to save America and to restore us to our base in Him. Subsequently, I learned that many others had been called similarly into intercessory repentance. Then came the astounding victory of the election! And even many in the media have had to admit it happened because many thousands turned out to vote because of "moral issues." This morning the Lord spoke a Word I am sure He wants me to share.

"This is a Day of Redemption"

First, He gave Paula and me several scriptures, all of which indicated God is going to move in judgment against the works of those who have lead this nation astray. Two of the scriptures were from Isaiah 9 and Zechariah 10, about His persistence to bring judgment on wrong ways.

Then He spoke the following:

"Your prayers and those of many have been heard. I am moving to restore this country to its base in My Word and the faith of its founders. Rest assured I will not quit or rest until it is done. The meaning of your first scriptures is that I will persist and will root out all the foolishness of the liberals and the gay rights movement.

"They shall have nowhere to turn, and I shall demolish all their gains over the last decades. This nation shall be returned to righteousness.

"That was the real issue in this election. The nation has chosen righteousness, and that sets Me free to act on its behalf. The foolish works of the unrighteous will be overturned. But that is not automatic. It depends upon the continued repentance and petitions of the faithful.

"Now that the first victory is here, it is not a time to stop praying but to redouble efforts. I will ferret out all the foolishness that has subverted this nation from My plans for it. But I require, at your hand, continued prayers that invite Me to do the fullness of My desire and yours. Nevertheless, rejoice. For this is a day of redemption."

"The Work of Overturning and Restoration is to Be HIS"

The Holy Spirit ended by reminding me of other scriptures which speak of remembering to be gracious and forgiving of individuals as He acts to destroy their works. He does not want "gay bashing" or hateful acts against abortion clinics. The work of overturning and restoration is to be His, in His own loving but thorough way, not ours in wrong ways.

I gave thanks, and prayed accordingly -- and will continue -- and ask the Body to persist in prayer. Praise God.
