"GOD IS CALLING HIS CHURCH TO PRAY AND THEN GO VOTE...IN THAT ORDER!"

Dear Elijah List Readers,

Did you know that both prayers about the election, and voting in elections are in keeping with what Scripture commands?

"How?" you might ask.

The Scripture gives specifics to be followed, and principles which must also be followed. A specific is -- "Honor your Father and your Mother." A principle is (equally true), for example, if we should honor our own fathers and mothers, so too, we should honor your Father (in the Spirit) and your mother "in the Spirit." Even Paul speaks that Rufus' mother was like a mother to himself, too (Rom 16:13). So He honored her...thus, the principal put into real-life obedience.

Here Are Specifics and Principles:

First: 1 Timothy 2:1-4 "I urge, then, first of all, that requests, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for everyone -- for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. This is good, and pleases God our Savior, who wants all men to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth..." So, for instance, we MUST pray for both President Bush and Senator John Kerry, since both are in authority.

And additionally, there is a principle here: Romans 13:7 "Render to all men their dues. [Pay] taxes to whom taxes are due, revenue to whom revenue is due, respect to whom respect is due, and honor to whom honor is due." (AMP)

While we must actually respect all in authority, even Caesar (that is, our own leaders in authority), so also, the principal is taught that we must show respect and honor. So, the principal of honor is this...if both President Bush AND Senator John Kerry are asking all to vote, THEN TO HONOR AND RESPECT THOSE IN AUTHORITY, WE SHOULD VOTE -- as they ask us to. This causes us to obey both man and God at the same time.

Some might say this is a stretch of the Scriptures. But to me, it is the exact way to discern and obey the Scripture.

Honor those who are in authority. If both are asking ALL who can -- to vote -- then we honor them by choosing the issues important to us...and then we go VOTE.

So, to obey Christ, we both pray for ALL in authority and we HONOR all in authority, by doing what our leaders ask us to do...and that is to VOTE.

With that in mind, please read the following word...

"I SAW 'ELECTION ANGELS' ERECTING 'CROSS-LIKE' POLES ACROSS AMERICA AS GOD SPOKE TO HIS PEOPLE, 'I'LL MEET YOU AT THE POLLS ON NOVEMBER 2ND...IF YOU MEET ME AT THE CROSS BEFORE THEN!'"

In the Spirit, I saw the latest poll being taken by the angels, showing many of God's people who were taking for granted who was going to be the next president, falling behind in prayer! I heard the Father proclaiming to His people, "Your prayer closet is your voting booth for this election! You must vote now on your knees or the results of this election will drive you to inhabit your prayer closets!"

Again, God was speaking to His People, "The real election will take place before November 2nd. If you make your calling and 'your' election sure at My cross, I will move My throne to rest over the White House. My people, America, is at a cross-roads...but you are at the cross! And if you miss your crucifixion, America will miss her resurrection! If you make your calling and 'your' election sure at My cross before November 2nd, I will turn the White House into a Light House to the world!"

"Voting Booth" Angels were being released to awaken many of God's people -- to give them no rest, for they would not see the answer to their prayers for this election until the "voting booths" literally became their prayer closets on November 2nd.

"THE REAL ELECTION IS TAKING PLACE NOW IN THE HEARTS OF GOD'S PEOPLE"

I sense The Passion of the Christ movie was released recently to call us back to the cross, so we wouldn't face another cross-roads in America in this election like we did in the last one. He wants our sins so He can wash us whiter than snow with the blood of Jesus -- so He can wash our whole nation from her sins.

Vote early this election. The real election is taking place now in the hearts of God's people. Let's make our calling and our "election" sure. The word election means "chosen" by God. "Many are called but few are chosen."

"I'll meet you at the cross...then I'll see you at the voting booth!"
