Encircling the Campus with Prayer

On Wednesday, October 13, the final Presidential Debate is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. at Grady Gammage Memorial Auditorium on the Arizona State University Campus in Tempe. We are calling for the USSPN state coordinators and prayer networks to help us pray as we coordinate strategic intercessory teams to pray on-site at the ASU campus during the debate. We will literally encircle the campus with prayer.

Last July, at an Arizona Call to Prayer gathering - before we knew the presidential debate would be held in Arizona - Cindy Jacobs gave Arizona the following word:

"He showed me that Arizona must take the point in the prayer for the elections. God spoke that to me. Take the point. I've been to all kinds of places and I have not ever said that to one state yet. But I want to say to you, Arizona, you have the anointing to stand this time. You can do it."

Attached you will find a list of the 12 intercessory teams and their assignments along with Scriptures God has given us to declare over the debate. In addition to the 12 strategic mobile teams, there will be overflow intercessors in two churches next to the campus. Please pray protection over our teams and come alongside us in praying for the debate.

Fear of the Lord

Psalm 111 (111:10) The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom; all those who practice it have a good understanding. His praise endures forever.

Proverbs 1:7 The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge; fools despise wisdom and instruction.

2 Samuel 23:3 He who rules over men must be just, ruling in the fear of God.

Team #1: Repentance

2 Chronicles 7:14 If my people who are called by my name humble themselves, pray, seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.

Psalm 51 (51:2-3) Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin. For I know my transgressions, and my sin is ever before me.

Team #2: Truth

John 8:32 And you will know the truth, and the truth will make you free.
