Christy Johnston: "Whose Report Will You Believe?"

Christy Johnston
Nov 24, 2020

From the Desk of Steve Shultz:

Steve ShultzOne of the ways to discern if a prophet has heard from God or not...is to watch him or her over time.

"Watch for what?" you may ask.

Watch to see what he or she does when it appears like the opposite of what they prophesied begins to happen.

If that prophet holds firm to their prophecy, no matter what it looks like, that is a prophet you should stay in touch with and watch closely. This is an hour on the earth to make sure you follow the voice of prophets who hold firm until their word comes to pass.

Christy Johnson is one of those prophets you can be sure has heard from the Lord. She is teaching you to HOLD FIRM to what you have heard.

That is a great sign of a true prophet. Maybe not the only sign, but one of the more important signs.

So heed this prophetic teaching and word by Christy. I believe what she has heard is from the Lord's throne. (To Subscribe to the Elijah List subscribe here.)

I have been so encouraged by the story of Jehoshaphat in the past couple of weeks, and I feel it is such a powerful story to stand on for those of us contending for the United States right now. What many perceive as nothing more than a political war, in reality, is a spiritual war for the soul of this nation.

I believe we are facing the demonic principality of Jezebel herself. She has set up alters upon the nation of America, and we must tear them down. Upon her alters are the sacrifice of the unborn, love of self, lawlessness, disunity, fear and the masking of God's prophets.

In recent months, we have witnessed how the spirit of lawlessness has increased, how censorship has become a god unto itself by censoring the voices of many prophets and those shining a light on darkness. We have witnessed the unrepentant celebration of murdering the child in the womb and the increase of disunity – even amongst the Church on social media. Fear has overtaken the hearts of many, and as a result, leaders are running like Elijah into caves for fear of what the masses might say, in the event they speak truth and call down the fire of the Lord upon this demonic principality.

This is a battle, my friends. Jehoshaphat chose to stand in the face of similar opposition, and his actions give us insight into this time of spiritual warfare.

The Invasion and Division

In 2 Chronicles 20:1-2, it tells of a multitude of enemies that set themselves against the people of Judah and Jehoshaphat. The Moabites, the Ammonites and the Meunites came to make war on God's people. This great multitude came against God's people out of Aram, which means "high and elevated," and they gathered together in Hazazon-tamar, which interestingly means "division of the palm." It is important to note these details because they give clarity into what we are facing, as the Body of Christ, and as a praying people.

I believe these meanings speak of the invasion of hostile demonic forces attempting to overrun and overthrow the Body of Christ in the United States and, as a result, in the nations. This enemy has come not from THE Father but from the father of lies, and has ensnared a multitude of great people into his crafty lies. These people have become those who dwell and abide in the habitation of his lies...we know this because of where these enemies came out from – Aram – a high and elevated place. Not the high and exalted place of the King of kings, but the high and lofty territory of the enemy.

It is imperative that the Body of Christ recognizes in this hour the stark difference between the two. The high and lofty voice of the father of lies, or the high and exalted voice of the King. This is where the true battle takes place: whose report will you believe?

We also know that this enemy gathered together at a place that means "division of the palm." This is imperative to note, given that the main-stream media has spread their misinformation of half-truths to divide the UNITED States of America. The enemy knows that a house divided cannot stand. As a result, we now have people identifying themselves in divided categories – even within the Body of Christ – who are perceiving this situation BASED on those divided categories.

It is also important to recognize that the palm represents sitting under a prophetic place of authority in the Bible. The judge named Deborah was often found to be sitting in her place of authority, "under the palm" (Judges 4:5)...which tells me that to listen to the deceptions of the media (the prince of the airways) in this hour, results in a "splitting of authority." Our authority is torn in two when we are waging war from an earthly perspective, and therefore we are not looking and seeing beyond the cultural narratives that have been written and devised by the driving force of the enemy behind the media. The Valley of Jehoshaphat

In Joel chapter 3, Joel prophesies about the Lord calling all nations together to the "Valley of Jehoshaphat." Jehoshaphat means "the Lord has Judged" or "Yahweh Governs." I encourage you to read the whole chapter in your own time, however, I wanted to focus on these few verses in context with Jehoshaphat's story:

"'Put in the sickle, for the harvest is ripe. Come, go down; for the winepress is full, the vats overflow – for their wickedness is great.' Multitudes, multitudes in the valley of decision! For the day of the Lord is near in the valley of decision." (Joel 3:13-14)

Notice the verse says that the harvest is ripe, while simultaneously saying that the wickedness of the people is great. I believe the great harvest of the earth is here, but I believe we are also standing in the day that Timothy prophesied about: "Bad men and those who fool other people will grow worse and worse..." (2 Timothy 3:13); the day when men will "call evil good and good evil" (Isaiah 5:20).

I also believe we are in this valley of decision, where God will judge us according to the decisions that we make right now. Will we side with evil? Will we write off evil and call it good? Will we allow the high places of the enemy to prevail and reign? Or will we tear down these strongholds and put the sickle to the harvest of the earth?

It seems that Jehoshaphat stood in a similar predicament. His prayer encapsulates the prayers that I believe many of us are praying right now. (Read 2 Chronicles 20:6-12.)

Take up your position.

The Spirit of the Lord then came upon Jahaziel in response to Jehoshaphat's prayer. "He said: 'Listen, King Jehoshaphat and all who live in Judah and Jerusalem! This is what the Lord says to you: "Do not be afraid or discouraged because of this vast army. For the battle is not yours, but God's. Tomorrow march down against them. They will be climbing up by the Pass of Ziz, and you will find them at the end of the gorge in the Desert of Jeruel. You will not have to fight this battle. Take up your positions; stand firm and see the deliverance the Lord will give you, Judah and Jerusalem. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged. Go out to face them tomorrow, and the Lord will be with you."'" (2 Chronicles 20:15-17)

I want to highlight something profound here. The enemy came up by the Pass of Ziz and ended up in the desert of Jeruel. Ziz means "brightness," and Jeruel means "founded by God." When I asked the Holy Spirit what this meant, I heard Him whisper, "When My people stand firm, I ensnare the enemy in his own game. Just when the enemy thinks he has won, I will drive him into a place of brightness where he cannot hide. I ensnare him in a place of my own founding; it is an attack and capture."

Here are 3 prophetic strategies to help us overcome in the valley of decision:

Prophetic Strategy #1

Tear down the high places through repentance and prayer.

In another account of Jehoshaphat's story (2 Chronicles 20:31-33), it tells how he served the Lord all his days, but the people refused to tear down the high places. By not tearing down the high places, it opened the door for more evil to prevail over them.

This is not a battle we can fight without the strength and wisdom of our God, but we must choose to stand and look to Him through it. I believe one of the greatest strategies we have before us in the valley of decision addresses these questions: Will we choose to tear down the high places in the land? Will we stand, as 2 Chronicles 7:14 instructs us?

"If My people, who are called by My name, will humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from Heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land." (Photo via Wikimedia Commons)

The key word here is "IF." I, for one, choose to set my face like flint on the ONE who alone can save us from impending darkness. I, for one, choose to repent before the Lord on behalf of the wickedness in the land. This is not just a prophetic word...this is a CHARGE in prayer!

Prophetic Strategy #2

Take up your positions and STAND FIRM on what God has spoken through His prophets.

I was lead to yet another account of Jehoshaphat's story in 2 Chronicles 20:20 (which amazingly points to this year 2020). It reads:

"And they rose early in the morning and went out into the Wilderness of Tekoa; and as they went out, Jehoshaphat stood and said, Hear me, O Judah, and you inhabitants of Jerusalem! Believe in the Lord your God and you shall be established; believe and remain steadfast to His prophets and you shall prosper."

MANY prophetic voices have simultaneously declared that President Trump would succeed a second term – long before this battle was being waged. I encourage you to seek out the word of the Lord through these voices and stand firm on what has been spoken AHEAD of time.

Amazingly, the verse above speaks of the wilderness of Tekoa. Tekoa in Hebrew means "trumpet; that is confirmed, thrust, settlement." I believe this speaks of the wilderness we are currently in, but God's instrumental "Trumpet" for the hour (Trump-Pence) will be suddenly thrust into a settlement and confirmed. THIS is for the GLORY of the Lord AND the nations. PRAY and decree according to the promise God has spoken.

Prophetic Strategy #3

Worship from the high place.

We take back the high places of the earth THROUGH worship. From this perspective, we are standing ABOVE the noise and we see what He sees.

"Now you are ready, My bride, to come with Me as we climb the highest peaks together. Come with Me through the archway of trust. We will look down from the crest of the glistening mounts and from the summit of our sublime sanctuary. Together we will wage war in the lion's den and the leopard's lair as they watch nightly for their prey." (Song of Songs 4:8 TPT)

Are you standing firm in this hour or are you quivering in fear? Come up higher, beloved. Let's take back the ground the enemy has stolen and declare that America's greatest days are yet before her.
