"Francis Frangipane Issues Hurricane Prayer Alert"

Dear Elijah List Readers, Steve Shultz is currently attending the Elijah List Canby Grove conference and has asked me to send out the following Emergency Prayer Request from Francis Frangipane. The State of Florida (as well as the surrounding region) is in desperate need of our prayers. God has given us Power in our Words and in our Prayers! Hurricane Prayer Alert!

Dear Intercessors,

Still cleaning up the aftermath of Hurricane Charley, yet another hurricane, Frances, is headed for Florida. MSNBC online news says, "It would be the worst double hurricane strike on one state in at least a century." (http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/5876681/)

One of our intercessors sent us the following note: About 7 years ago the Virginia Beach area was threatened by a large hurricane, and the 700 Club and others joined in united prayer against it. It never touched them. Weather forecasters were amazed at how it kept zigzagging towards the land.

Friends, Florida needs our prayers as do other areas in the path of this storm. Specifically, let us pray that the storm will lose its strength and just die out. We have the authority given to us by Jesus Himself who said to the wind and the waves, "'Peace, be still.' And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm" (Mark 4:39).
