Below is perhaps something that could help readers over how to take a prophetic word and pray.

Prayer Points for: "I HAVE KEYS IN MY HAND. I'M REVIEWING AUTHORITY FROM CITY TO CITY, STATE TO STATE, AND REGION TO REGION"

What an honor to write to the Elijah List. I consider the ministry of Steve Shultz to the Body of Christ invaluable at this time. The recent word that was released by the Spirit in Oklahoma City is very key for the Body of Christ. Many times in reading a word we are not aware of the setting in which the word was released. We had key leaders from a seven state region that had gathered at a Concerts of Prayer meeting in Oklahoma City to pray and review their territory. That morning as we were worshipping the Spirit of God filled the room. We found ourselves quiet and prostrate before Him for 10 minutes. He then began to speak the Word that many of you have read. The mood of the Lord was one of encouragement and His voice released an awareness of His character of justice, and order.

Ezekiel 13:5 talks about prophets who have prophesied but have not gone up into the "gaps" to build a wall for the house of Israel to stand in battle on the day of the Lord. My predominate role in the Body of Christ has been to mobilize prayer world-wide. Therefore, I would like to give some prayer points that I believe are necessary to go with this Word so we might build a wall of fire and protection from city to city and state to state throughout our land. Prophesy should produce a burden to pray.

Before you begin to pray the following points, define the boundaries that you are praying in. In Acts 17:26 we find that "He has determined our preappointed times and the boundaries of our dwellings." Some of you will be praying for your home with the following prayer points. Others of you will pray for your church. Some of you are called to pray for your city. Some have been extended a call from the Lord to pray for your state. And then, of course, I believe it is very important to pray for our nation at this time. For the prayer points below I will use your city and state as an example.

COMPLACENCY MENTIONED FIVE TIMES

1. Complacency was mentioned by the Lord five times in this word. Complacency stops and distorts vision. Therefore, pray that the power of complacency is broken, for example, from your church and city. Sometimes the enemy sends a spirit of slumber. So declare that a spirit of slumber is broken off the church in your region. Shout, "AWAKE" throughout your city when you are driving throughout your city. Allow that word to go through the spirit realm of your city and state.

ASK FOR THE SPIRIT OF GRACE AND INTERCESSION

2. Ask the Lord for the Spirit of grace and intercession to fall on your city and state. Many times we have not, because we ask not. If the intercessors will cry out for the Spirit of grace and intercession, He will begin to blanket the people of your region who have never felt the burden to pray. We will see communion and prayer begin and changes will be activated. You will probably begin to hear of a spirit of travail coming forth in people throughout your city and state.

MERCY FOR THE GATEKEEPERS

3. Pray for the key authority structures in your city. Ask the Lord to put an urgency in the gatekeepers. Cry out for mercy in the gatekeepers that are now operating in unbelief and ask for a sweeping gift of faith to fall upon spiritual authorities in your region.

RELEASE "LEADER SHIFT"

4. Ask the Lord to build up the wall with the correct spiritual leadership for your city, region or state. He raises some up, He puts others down. Don't pray from control but release "leader shift" powerfully into the spirit realm and watch this take action in your region. Trust God to work in His timing.

CRY OUT FOR CORPORATE WORSHIP TIMES TO ARISE IN YOUR CITY, STATE . . .

5. Cry out for corporate worship times to arise in your city, state and region . Pray that not only will 24 hour prayer and worship be established, but declare that there will be corporate worship times where the Church gathers just to worship a holy and living God. True worship tears down idolatrous structures.

ASK FOR NEW LEVEL OF WORSHIP AND BREAKING THE POWER OF CHILD SACRIFICE

6. As a new level of worship is established in the Church in your city. ask the Lord to break the power of child sacrifice. Ask the Lord for true worship to overthrow powers in the heavenly realm that are influencing earthly actions such as abortion that are contrary to the will of God. Ask the Lord to have a state gathering where people come from all over the state to worship. I see gatherings very much like Promise Keepers, but they will be "state owned" by the intercessors, prophets, pastors and spiritual leaders of that region. Stadiums will be filled with people worshipping the living God.

ASK FOR LAWLESS STRUCTURES TO BE REVEALED

7. Ask for lawless structures that are linked in with terrorist activities to be revealed. This Word was given in Oklahoma where the worst terrorist attack in the history of our nation on this land occurred. Declare all the hidden evil structures that are devising evil to make a zealous religious point will be uncovered.

ASK FOR CHURCH'S NEW COAT OF SPIRITUAL ARMOR

8. Ask the Spirit of God to empower the Church with a new coat of armor for spiritual war. Declare as we operate with the weapons of spiritual war, that unjust laws that have been established will be overturned. This is a day of Esther overturning Haman's decrees. Pray that the right judges will be put in place from region to region to region.

ASK THE SPIRIT TO PENETRATE DEAD, RELIGIOUS STRUCTURES

9. Ask the Spirit of God to penetrate dead, religious structures that are resisting His move in your city and state. Declare that those who are speaking out of a mind that resists the Holy Spirit will be silenced and the Spirit of God will begin to break out in various places in your city and state. The Spirit of God is the restraining force that stops demonic forces from expanding their dark works in your region.

RISE FROM COMPLACENCY NOW AND WORSHIP!

10. Do not fear, but cry out for God's perfect restorative grace to take action throughout our entire nation. Even though this word mentions judgment, it gives very clear instruction that judgment does not have to come if the Church will rise from complacency NOW and worship!

Since this Word has been released the spiritual leadership in Oklahoma have decided to go to the gates of their city and pray and declare key scriptures that will release changes in their state.

I so bless each of you who prophesy, pray and declare the word of God. May you be strengthened and encouraged as we go forth into this next historical season that God has set before us.

CHUCK PIERCE AT "OKLAHOMA CONCERT OF PRAYER" in Oklahoma City, morning of October 27, 2000:

"I saw Isaiah 32 and the Lord began to speak to me:

I AM setting My course for judgment upon the States of this land. I will be judging the states of this land and judgment will be evident by February 2002. Judgment will come based upon the complacency of the church from state to state. For you have thought judgment would come based upon the civil government that is in place but I would say to you that judgment will come because of the complacency of My people.

BY FEBRUARY 2002

What is set in motion NOW will manifest by February 2002. It is important NOW HOW you motivate those around you to respond to Me saith the Lord. For that is how I will determine those that go into drought and who goes into natural disaster based upon the response of My people now. I say to you also I will release judgment from State to State based upon the response that I see concerning My Spirit dwelling on this earth.

For I say it is My Spirit that is the restraining force in this land and based upon how My Spirit is welcomed in a territory is how I will begin to allow demonic forces to rise up and how I will begin to dethrone demonic forces.

So I say to you, do not be a people who operate in false judgment for My judgment will come only based upon complacency and My judgment will only come upon the welcoming of My Spirit into your territories.

This will be a time of determining the authority at the gates of your cities and states. The rulership of the gates is being determined NOW.

KEYS IN MY HAND

I am reviewing authority from city to city, state to state and region to region. I have keys in My HAND. I know who and when I can release these. I know those who have been tested and who will be used in the future.

I am going to begin to orchestrate the establishment of worship throughout this nation saith the Lord. And I say as I orchestrate worship and as those respond to Me in worship I say cities will rise or cities will fall. How My people begin to worship NOW is how the atmosphere will begin to change from region to region. So I say to you this will be the time of change and how you respond now will cause the changes of the future.

As true worship penetrates the heavens, I will release judgment on false worship. Innocent blood has been shed because true worship has not been released. Hail and fire will be an indicator that I AM dealing with those regions who have aligned with Tophet and Moloch and sacrificed wrong offerings.

A TIME OF DELIVERANCE FOR CHILDREN

These next two years will be a time of deliverance for children. For I say to you abortion is linked with false idolatrous worship and I Am about to cause a dethroning by the release of My power through true worship.

Gather and worship Me from state to state throughout the land and I will deliver even those who have not yet been born.

Remove false judgments for I am setting a new course of righteousness and I say those that I place into places of authority--- surround them with your shields of faith, for I long to hide them so that a righteousness can be seen that has not been seen before.

Therefore, they must stay shielded so that they might display My righteous judgments.

WAR WILL NOW BREAK OUT --IN THE NEXT 18 MONTHS

War will now break out in these next 18 months. This will be a war of great spiritual magnitude. The war will be over the boundaries of the future-- for the enemy has shifted boundaries.

There is a war over the justice of this land. I will establish justice in the midst of My people therefore there will be war over laws that have been established wrongly.

Know that you are warring with an antichrist system therefore do not fear this supernatural war that I am calling My people to be engaged in. Align yourself properly for war.

WATCH AND WATCH WITH ME

Watch Me, and learn to watch with Me! Now is the time of determining the future! As of this day because you have responded I have moved a shield out across your state [Oklahoma] that is allowing you to hear and be shielded of things that will be coming in the next 2 years saith the Lord.

I long to do this from state to state. I say do not take this for granted, for though this shield has been set in place, you must respond and continue to break down the complacency of this state. Complacency stops or distorts vision.

If you will begin to stir faith I will reveal how the enemy has shielded the workers of iniquity in your state. Lawless structures will be revealed. Those cities that do not respond to My Spirit-- I say the shield will be shifted from them and lawlessness will manifest in their midst.

Cry out for My shield of faith to be established from state to state."

We also had a reconciliation between those representing the Spaniards, and the Native American Peoples (emphasis on Pueblo People). This has been a very powerful and prophetic series of meetings.
