I want you all to know that for the next few days, we'll be sending you a NUMBER of words for 2004. We don't want to hit you with them all at once or you won't be able to absorb them. There are a lot of them and that's the way God likes to do it -- spread pieces of his "revelation" around Body so that we need to depend upon each other for all of God's revelation.

He told us that we "know IN PART" and we "PROPHESY IN PART." God gives "parts" to many of God's prophets such that we can put together the puzzle pieces or tapestry of His MUCH FULLER revelation -- by getting together with others who hear from the Lord. That is much of what THE ELIJAH LIST is all about.

He does this so we will not look to any ONE man or woman for Revelation from God. Here below is ONE WORD from the many you will be receiving over the next week or two. OK?

The Elijah List

The Lord showed me yesterday and today that this is the year to receive the things that you have been promised, but many people don't know HOW to receive - or don't know HOW to really get into faith. So read and pass on, lets do some receiving together!

Kathie, how to receive your inheritance? (It's easier than you think).

Regarding your inheritance -

First of all, you have to be convinced that you DO have an inheritance. If I called you and said that your long lost uncle had died and left a few million dollars in an account for you in Switzerland, you would very likely find out as fast as you could how to get to Switzerland and access that account. But if you weren't convinced that you had an account, you would just go plodding along as usual. That is called a spirit of slumber. A spirit of slumber doesn't mean that you are lazy and don't do anything - it means that you are asleep to the relevant things of God.

It's a promise

First of all, the inheritance comes through promise, not works. (Gal 3:18) So, you can't earn it. It is a gift. The inheritance is eternal, (Heb 9:15) and it is sealed with the Spirit of promise. The Baptism of the Spirit is like an engagement ring, a sealing of the promise. This makes the Spirit-filled life our inheritance. (Eph 1:13,14) and the Life of the Spirit is meant to be normal for us.

The Spirit of God is powerful and supernatural, He is incorruptible and undefiled. God said that, when the Spirit came, we would prophesy and dream dreams and see visions (Acts 2:18). When Phillip went to witness and baptize the man in the chariot, its says that the Spirit afterwards "Caught Philip away, and the eunuch saw him no more" ( Acts 8:39). God is not limited as we are. There is no time or distance in the Spirit. That is why when we are in the Spirit we can be taken to other nations and see things in the future and have revelation of things that are past.

We are joint heirs

We are called to the realm of the Holy Spirit - the realm where GOD dwells. We have "Been given the Spirit of adoption whereby we cry "Abba" (daddy) Father (Rom 8:15)." And the same "Spirit bears witness with our spirit that we ARE THE CHILDREN OF GOD, and if children, then heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ." ( Rom 8:15).

Joint heirs - that means we can have what He has. What an awesome and powerful and incredible inheritance. When Jesus died on the cross for you, he did not say "Well I have purchased your eternal salvation and you are going to spend eternity with Me, but meanwhile, do the best you can." No, no He left you a powerful life in the Spirit, in order that you can live as He lived and be a witness to His mighty resurrection. "You will receive POWER after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you and you shall be WITNESSES TO ME" ( Acts 1:8) The apostle Paul said, "I came to you not with words of man's wisdom but in demonstration of the Spirit and in power, " (1 Cor 2:4).

There must be a demonstration of God's power, that is why we are still here on this earth - our lives are that demonstration, that is why we need to receive our spiritual inheritance and all that God has provided.

So, now are you convinced about your inheritance? Did you realize that the religious spirit makes people feel as though they are somehow not "qualified" for this wonderful inheritance? If I ask people about salvation, they tell me, "Yes, we know we are saved though Christ and His death and resurrection, we have received it by faith and we know we are heaven-bound." But when I asked the same people "Do you know that the realm of the Spirit, the supernatural realm, the angels, heavenly visitations, are supposed to be a normal part of your life? Those same people who are sure of their salvation, will say they feel somehow they are not "qualified" for this supernatural realm. They feel "This is for sister Sue and Brother Pat, who are more spiritual than me. After all who am I to be having all these wonderful things?"

Don't listen to the devil's lies

A little old devil creeps up alongside and agrees with you. "Yes, who do you think you are to be talking about ministry and going to other nations and prophesying and having visitations from God.?" Don't listen to the lies of the enemy of your soul. It is in his best interest to keep you out of the supernatural realm for which you were born (again). Just think for a minute. You can't do him much damage in the natural - in fact you can't do anything at all. But when you get in your inheritance and that realm of the spirit, then his kingdom is going to shake and the devils and demons around you are going to shake and all kinds of evil things are going to have to close shop and move out of town.

This last weekend we had a "Mighty Young Warriors conference" in our town, Macon, Georgia. Kids came from all over and the power of God laid them out under the anointing, then they got up and started praying for people. There were some major miracles and deliverances that happened. I saw a major demonic stronghold LEAVE the area. Something the intercessors had been praying against for years - See the devil couldn't stand to see the power of God like that - especially on the kids!

Guess what - you don't have to "qualify" either

You see you don't have to qualify for this walk in the supernatural. If Jesus qualified you 100%, then how can you un-qualify for something you never qualified for in the first place? That's ridiculous! When I speak of angelic encounters, heavenly visitations, Gods chariots, people say to me, "Well it's OK for you - you have that kind of Spirit ministry." It grieves me when I hear that. We are all meant to have that kind of ministry.

Whether it's in teaching, prophesying, evangelizing, pastoring - it's meant to be supernatural. These are all supernatural ministries - given by God Himself. We are supernatural people - God's own people, bought with a great price, the precious blood of the Lamb.

Do you think Jesus died to leave you where you are? No! He purchased you to walk in His ways, in the Spirit. He has given you a new heart and put His spirit within you (Ezek 36:26). Don't you know the Lawgiver is IN you? That's why you don't have to struggle and strive to keep the law. If you walk in the Spirit you will not fulfill the lusts of the flesh. How come? - Oh, because you don't live in that realm of death anymore. You have been translated into the kingdom of God's dear Son. What a great salvation! What a wonderful privilege to be called the sons and daughter of God! Well you have to walk like a princess or prince and talk like one, and act like one. Live in your inheritance, be who you are - in Christ.

Good News - It's by faith

So friends, it is by faith that we access our inheritance. You see God cannot minister to our unbelief and our negativism. It is the opposite to His very nature. He is a God of faith. Did you realize that God believes in Himself and has confidence in His own power. If He does then why can't you? He believes in you too. So much so, that He put His own life within you, He has so much confidence that He placed the most priceless jewel in you - His Spirit.

Jesus said, " What things so ever you desire, when you pray, believe that ye receive them and ye shall have them" (Mark 11:24).

"Oh you mean, pray and wait and see if it happens and then believe it?"

"No believe when you pray, not when you see."

"Oh you mean believe BEFORE you see."

"Right you got it." Clank clank clank - brains disturbed!

We have to adjust to the Dove. As Godfrey Birtill sings "If you want to rise above the mountains you must adjust to the dove." (Awesome song by the way. From his CD "Fertile Ground")

You get what you say

Jesus said another interesting thing about receiving. He said ( talking about moving the mountain) ".. and he does not doubt in his heart. But believes that those things which he SAYS will come to pass: he shall have whatsoever he says." ( Mark 11:23)

"Oh Oh - it can't be that easy - don't we have to struggle and strive and work at it?"

"No you just have to believe and get rid of the doubt - If you want to please God, you have to operate in faith. And by the way, you will have what you say , so I would be very careful about what you say."

Whenever I went to New England in the winter time I would say "I always get a cold when I come to New England in the winter."

Well guess what? My faith and my confession worked. I got a cold every time I went to New England in the winter. So I quit saying that and believing that - now I don't get colds in New England I get health and a lot of joy."

Now I have another gem for you. Did you know that you don't have to ask God for more faith? He already gave you His faith. "To every man is given the measure of Faith," to do what God calls you to do (Rom 12:3) It's not your faith, it's His faith. Well faith works - you don't have to get more - you have to use what you have. That's the greatest faith in the world in you right now. The trouble is that a lot of people confuse faith with how they feel. Faith has nothing at all to do with how you feel - faith is what you decide to believe and stand in it. There are faith stories and angel stories in my book "Living in the Supernatural" if you want more encouragement.

Getting your family saved

Years ago we continually prayed for our family to be saved - David's (Jewish) dad, his Catholic mom and my very proper, but Godless mom. We complained to the Lord because we were in a revival and the power of God was falling everywhere and our parents were outside it all. Then the Lord said to us, "My Word says 'Salvation is for you and your house", so when are you going to believe they are saved, when you pray or when you see?" After some thought we said- "Oh I see pray and BELIEVE." So, we prayed one more time, and when we prayed we received their salvation - By faith I saw the names of our parents written in God's book. We treated them differently from then on - we just talked to them like they were as saved and as excited as we were. We didn't take any notice of what we saw with our eyes or heard with our ears! Guess what? within 6 weeks they were all saved. This is quite a story, it is in my book "Living in the Supernatural." David's dad met the Lord in his sleep - He sat up in bed, fast asleep with his hands raised in the air. David's mom told us He was sitting up with the his hands up in the air saying ? "Jesus, my Messiah." When he woke up he was saved - God can do a anything, but we have to release our faith - read on

There's nothing wrong with your faith - Get rid of the doubt

It's not your faith that is lacking, it's that fact that a spirit of doubt or unbelief can sit on your fountain of faith. I am going to tell you an animal story.

"Oh no, not another animal story"

"This is a great story it has a happy ending."

"Are you sure about this one?"

"Yes - just listen up."

"OK"

Well you know my kids always had animals of one kind or another. I was never very good with the animals, but my kids survived OK.

The fluffy bunny

Lisa had a big, white, fluffy rabbit. It lived on the porch (upper level) and ran around there. Apart from eating my wicker furniture, I didn't mind it. Well Lisa was going out of town for a few days. "Mom" she said, " Please would you take care of the rabbit?" she showed me how to do its food and water thingy. "No problem." Well, after a day or so I went to check on the rabbit and had this thought. "I bet that bunny would love to run around the yard (we have 3 acres) it must be really tired of that sun porch. Definitely it would enjoy a change of scenery."

I took it out to the yard and put it down on the grass. It hopped around a little nervously and then got excited and began hopping big time. Suddenly our dog, Shep, spotted the rabbit and came charging across the yard. The rabbit saw him and scattered real quick. They both disappeared and the dog came back empty handed, so the bunny had made a good escape. But I thought the bunny was going to come back. After all he knows where he lives, surely he knows a good thing when he sees it. I mean he lives here, he must know that. I waited for an hour and then came back and waited another hour for the rabbit to return. Well of course it must have liked its new found freedom and decided to stay put - wherever its "put" place was.

Unhappy Lisa

Needless to say Lisa was not happy and said she would never leave me to look after her creatures again, and for sure I would not look after her children whenever she had them!

Raccy - the Raccoon

A while later, a friend gave Faith (eldest daughter) a pet Raccoon. Raccy he was called. He had always been a house pet so was used to living inside. He was a cute little fellow. The girls led him around the house on a leash. But they had to leave for a few days to visit some friends. "Can you look after him, Mom?" Faith asked. She was more trusting than Lisa. "Sure thing" I replied.

When they were gone, I fed him and walked Raccy around. I looked out of the French doors in the kitchen and thought, "This little fellow has never had an opportunity to climb a tree. I bet he would love that experience." So, I took him outside and took off the leash and let him run up the tree. I waited for a long time for him to come back. Surely he couldn't be that dumb - he must know where his home is. Well I waited and waited and then realized he must have jumped to another tree and had no intention whatsoever of coming home. I thought he was an ungrateful little fur ball. Faith was mad and for some reason seemed to think I was somewhat lacking in common sense. She said she would never leave me with an animal again, and when she was married and had children, she would never leave her children with me in case I put them up a tree.

Fred the fish

Well things settled down and Lisa acquired a fish. One of those colored fighting fish. It was in a bowl in the kitchen. She was going to visit some friends in Atlanta. "Mom please can you take care of Fred (fish)? You can't run him up a tree or let him run in the yard, so he should be safe." She showed me how to sprinkle his food on the water. "Easy" I thought. The following day I realized that the dog had brought fleas into the house. " I will set off some flea bombs and go to the mall while I am waiting for it to 'take'", I thought to myself. So off I went, having set off 4 bombs throughout the house. I forgot about the little fishy happily swimming about in the bowl.

When I came home and guess what? The little fishy was still in the bowl - but upside down. I poked him and prodded him and prayed, but to no avail. He stayed upside down. Now quite honestly I have a hard time feeling a lot of compassion for fish, they are not like warm and cuddly creatures that snuggle up to you. No doubt some of you will think I am heartless - sorry. My main thought was what I was going to say to Lisa. I was sure she would never let me take care of her children (whenever she got married and had them) ever. I had a better idea. I went to the pet shop and bought another fish that looked just the same. I flushed the first little fish (after saying a "burial" prayer over him,) down the toilet and cleaned out the glass bowl and put the new fish inside.

Lisa came home. We sat in the kitchen with a cup of coffee, everything seemed OK. "Mom" Lisa looked up at me. "Yes?" - "What happened to the fish?"

"Fish?" I tried to look surprised. "Mom, it's a different color." No more to be said about that conversation, except that she reinforced the thing about taking care of her children.

Raja - the cat (good ending to this one). Thought I would say that in case anyone thought of writing me a mean letter

Well there is a point to this story. It concerns Lisa's cat. This is a beautiful Himalayan cat named Raja ( means majestic). Lisa and Raja were staying at my house in Georgia. And Guess what? Lisa had to leave for a few days and had to leave her cat with me because the vet was too expensive. I had to make statements of faith concerning this cat before she left him with me.

I was doing well, but I had to leave also just for a couple of days. I asked someone I knew to put the cat in the laundry room where there was plenty of food and water and a lot of space. But when I returned they had forgotten and the cat was stuck in the bathroom for 3 days. He had spilled his water and consequently had no water for 3 days. We rushed him to the Vet who misdiagnosed his condition, so he was another day without proper treatment. When we took him back, the Vet said "His kidneys have failed, we can put him on a kidney machine but we can't really do anything. I have never seen kidneys start up again when they have failed like this." Oh you can guess how I felt - I did love this kitty - he was beautiful and I had bought him for Lisa. I felt so bad. I felt very down and discouraged and felt so sorry for the kitty and myself and for Lisa, who didn't know yet.

I couldn't even think about what I was going to say to her. As the next couple of days went by, I tried to pray but it felt like my prayers were hitting the ceiling. I felt such a heaviness, a great weight. Then on the Saturday morning the Vet called me. "Mrs. Walters," he said, " We can't do anything for the cat - this machine is costing you a lot of money and it is not going to do anything. I need to take the cat off the machine." I panicked then. "Oh, give me half an hour" I said in desperation.

I went into the bedroom and tried to pray and then I remembered something a prophet friend of mine, Bob Jones, had told me a few weeks before. He had said "There is a spirit of doubt trying to attack you." Then I remembered also that God had given me a Spirit of faith. No matter how I felt, it was the truth - that I had God's faith within me. I took authority over the spirit of doubt. I yelled at it to get off me and leave me alone. I began to declare that God's faith was functioning in my life, then I began to pray for Raja and speak to him (although he was still at the Vet's). I commanded him to live and not die. I commanded the kidney's to work - and rebuked the devil who wanted to steal him from us. I shouted and yelled all over the house. Then the phone rang. It was the Vet. "You will never believe this" he said. "Try me" I replied. "This cat is fine, it's kidney's started working on their own and now its off the machine and it looks fine. Can I keep the cat to observe it?" I have never seen this happen before." "No, I am coming to get it right now" was my response.

My faith is fine

You see there was nothing wrong with my faith. How can there be anything lacking in God's faith? But the enemy had tried to steal and bring doubt and discouragement so that I didn't ACT on my faith. I got too busy with how I FELT.

So now friends - start to believe what God believes - agree with Him. By faith you enter into His kingdom and live in your inheritance and be who God made you to be. You are His beloved, the apple of His eye.

Do you know there is no demon or devil that is stronger than your faith - because it is God's faith? Every stronghold has to break and bow under the power of your faith! It is linked to the Son of God and it is linked to His name! The Name that is above every name in heaven and earth. You can't fail. You have no time for feeling sorry for yourself. You have too much going for you. You are a winner - you are on the winning team and the captain of the team has already purchased the victory. Go for it!

Pray this,

"Thank you Lord that when Jesus died for me, He left me an inheritance. The realm of the spirit, the supernatural realm of God, the Angels, the visitations of God, Heaven - that is my inheritance and it is a normal part of my life. This I confess and I choose to believe, I receive in Jesus mighty Name - Amen - so be it.

Note: If you are interested - as of today (Jan 1st 2004) Raja lives with me as Lisa in Washington DC, he is fine and well although he often looks at me sideways and his hair stands up when I go to pick him up. I also have a lovely white Maine Coon cat who LOVES me, his name is "Snowball." Original I know but he TRUSTS ME -unlike Rajah.
