A VISIT TO THE THRONE ROOM

Recently, I have been hearing a lot about intercessors being called to a new level of intimacy with the Lord. I had heard a strong focus on entering in via praise, worship and thanksgiving. I humbly submit this prophetic experience for your discernment.

ENTERING HIS GATES WITH PRAISE, WORSHIP, AND THANKSGIVING

This morning in my prayer time I decided that I was going to begin with a time of praise, worship and thanksgiving. I didn't have any specific time limit in mind, I just began by praising and worshiping him for His awesomeness in so many ways. Then, moved into a time of thanksgiving for specific things He was doing in my life and in the life of others.

"I SIGHED . . I WANT TO ENTER IN, LORD"

It was during this time of thanksgiving that I sighed and simply said, I want to enter in, Lord. Immediately, I found myself in the Throne Room. The room was all white except for a strip of red carpet that led up to the Throne where the Lord was seated. I stood there wondering how I got there.

Then, as if He could read my thoughts He said, You passed through the gates of praise and thanksgiving. Now, come My Child and enter in. I hesitated in a state of awe, not knowing how I should approach someone so majestic.

Instantly, He said, "Come boldly before My Throne."

I made my way to the Throne with a handful of papers.

He asked, "What have you brought Me?"

READING MY PETITIONS . . . HE ADDRESSED EACH ONE PERSONALLY

One by one, I began reading my petitions (requests for prayer from different people and ministries, for the Body and even some personal ones). Some of the requests, were things I had prayed for on a daily basis, but today it seemed so different because I saw with My own eyes that He was addressing each petition personally.

As I brought the first request before Him, He banged what appeared to be a seal onto the paper and said, "Done."

Sometimes, the requests were for people who were discouraged and He would bang the seal and say, "It is the Father's heart to grant this request."

Sometimes, a request would get the following response before I could even finish saying it,

" . . .This request was granted as you began speaking it."

I went through every piece of paper and then reached into the recesses of my mind to try to bring Him every other request I could think of for some personal insight from Him. He began opening my mind to understandings about certain situations which had become blocks in my prayer life.

I ACTUALLY WANDERED OFF IN MY THINKING OF WHAT HE HAD SAID

He gave me ways to pray for certain circumstances that had seemed hopeless. I'm embarrassed to say, there was even a time when He began to open my mind to these mysteries that I actually wandered off thinking about what He had said and forgot that I was standing before the Throne of God. Embarrassed and humbled that I couldn't even keep my attention at a time like this I begged for forgiveness. He sweetly forgave me and assured Me that He was willing to wait for me. I was so excited to be before Him and didn't want to leave but I knew that my earthly home was calling for my attention to the responsibilities that had been given me there.

It was then that I heard Him say, Now that you know how to get here, visit me often. END OF THE EXPERIENCE

Please, understand that I am not trying to say that there is a formula for getting to the Throne of God. I can't really tell you why this prayer experience was different than yesterdays.

Our ways and understandings are not God's ways. But, He does tell each of us to come boldly before the Throne (Heb 4:16). Whether you see this experience prophetically as I did is not what is important. What is important is that you know, by faith, that the Lord is there 24/7 to receive our petitions, that He address them personally and that He wants to bring each of us to new understandings of His marvelous mysteries.
