Dear Elijah List Readers (plus the many friends we hope you'll forward

I can't remember ever posting anything as
important as this email to the 80,000 Elijah List readers and their friends.
Please read this carefully. We must cover the President in 24 hour prayer
from around the globe.
My wife, Derene came to me feeling very strongly about this a few days ago.
I've learned that when my wife takes this kind of initiative, I can take it
to the bank that it's on the Lord's heart.
My staff rallied behind this request immediately.
Derene asked if I could and would arrange to quickly develop a computer
program to schedule 24/7 (around the clock) prayer for President and Mrs.
Bush, and their entire family.
I went straight to Davin (my IT director) and he quickly programmed a
synchronized program to schedule worldwide prayer for the President and
track it (without giving away private information)
This new program will synchronize the prayer around the world to
Eastern Standard Time--the time zone where the White House and President are
located.
We'll Report The "PRAYING" Statistics to
you. . . Please Have your Friends Pray As Well
If you're one of those who feel led to pray intensely, faithfully, and daily
for President Bush and his family (no matter which country you live in or
are from), we need you to click on the link below and schedule yourself in
1/2 hour increments to pray. [You will simply record your start time and
stop time for praying for President Bush ---according to your own time zone.
Your personal information will always be KEPT private and personal but
the statistics of which state and which countries are praying during which
hours of the day or night WILL BE MADE PUBLIC and synchronized to Eastern
Standard Time.
We want you all to know how many are praying for a Righteous President
through the ministry of the Elijah List. Please understand the following
though . . .
This is highly important . . .
Other than Jesus Christ, no man every walked the earth who was sinless, or
who didn't make mistakes. Your prayers are for the President to exercise
wisdom and for his safety. It matters not if you are in full agreement with
the President on every single issue. In fact, if there are any areas
where you feel the President may have made any mistakes, all the more, he
needs your faith-filled, grace-empowered prayer. This will be pleasing to
the Lord and will result in rewards in heaven as the Bible is clear about
rewards for those who pray for and receive a righteous man (remember it
doesn't say a mistake-free man--- but a righteous man)
Matt 10:41
". . . anyone who receives a righteous man because he is a righteous man
will receive a righteous man's reward. (NIV)
If this Prayer strategy becomes a successful and effective part of this
ministry, then someday when another President from the "other side of the
aisle" takes office, we will do the same for him (or her). Our prayer
is for the President, whoever it is.
As Believers, we must pray according to Scripture which explicitly states
this to ALL who follow the L_rd. Read it for yourself. This Scripture was
written when Nero was in power:
1 Tim 2:1-4
"I urge, then, first of all, that requests, prayers, intercession and
thanksgiving be made for everyone- for kings and all those in authority,
that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. 3
This is good, and pleases God our Savior, 4 who wants all men to be saved
and to come to a knowledge of the truth.
