Prophetic Prospective - A Dream of the Power of the Blessing

I was given a dream where I saw myself teaching on breaking generational curses. At the end of the teaching, when it came time for the ministry time, I began declaring, "Greater is the power of the Lord’s blessing than the power of the curse." In the dream, I kept making pronouncements of the blessings of the Lord. As I did this, people were spontaneously being healed and delivered all over the auditorium without anyone laying hands on them.

I then led the people into times of proclamation, "Blessings, Blessings, Blessings." We did this for 25 times or more without stopping. The atmosphere was charged with faith and the supernatural activity of God was swirling in the room. I woke up from the dream knowing that the Holy Spirit was giving a key of revelation to breaking the power of generational curses - by releasing the Power of the Blessing!


Revelatory Teaching - Invoke the Blessing

The Lord is adding wisdom weapons to our spiritual warfare arsenal at this time. Invoking the power of Generational Blessings is one of the areas He is going to illuminate for us. To bless means to invoke the divine favor on, to bestow happiness, prosperity or good things of all kinds; to make a pronouncement holy; to consecrate, to extol for the excellencies received or to glorify for the benefits bestowed.

The work of the cross of Jesus Christ is complete and perfect. It is time to proclaim the Good News of the Kingdom of God and thus confront darkness by turning on the light! When you enter a room and turn on the light switch - darkness automatically flees. It is a law of nature and a principle of the supernatural!

From my experience, the same is true in overcoming persistent powers of the enemy. Turn on the light of God’s word by declaring the Blessings of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob and our Messiah Jesus.


POWERFULLY DECLARING "BLESSINGS!"

Release the electric presence of the Holy Spirit to move around the room by declaring "Blessings!"

Since having this dream, when I have done this in various settings, I have observed heaviness lift, paralysis healed, and demons flee all to the glory of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Yes, greater is the power of the blessing than the power of the curse!


A Working Definition - by Derek Prince

A curse or a blessing is a word spoken with some particular form of spiritual power and authority either for good or evil that sets in motion something that will probably go on from generation to generation.

It has three attributes:

1. Pronounced audibly (can be written or wished as well)

2. Continues on in time - generation to generation

3. Usually are not just individual, but family-oriented


Target Practice - A Prayer of Release

Dear Father, I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and the only way to God; that He died for my sins; and that He rose again from the dead; that on the cross He was made a curse, that I might be redeemed from the curse and receive Your blessing.

I trust You now for mercy and forgiveness and I commit myself from now on by Your grace to follow You and obey You. I ask You to forgive and blot out any sins committed by me and or by my ancestors that exposed me to a curse (at this point name any specific sins of which you are aware.)

If people have harmed me or wronged me, I forgive them, as I would have God forgive me (name those people to the Lord now.)

I renounce all contact with Satan, occult practices, and unscriptural secret societies. If I have any contact objects that link me to these things, reveal it to me. I promise to destroy them (name the specific practices and/or secret societies, which you were involved).

With the authority of You have given to me as a child of God, I release myself from every curse that has ever come upon me or affected me in any way. In the Name of Jesus Christ. Amen!


Wrapping Up the Package - A Prayer of Blessing

Gracious Father, I thank you that you allowed Jesus, on the cross, to become a curse that we, through Him, might be redeemed from the curse. I now proclaim that every claim of the enemy against me is being cancelled in Jesus name.

I invoke the power of the blessings over my own life and that of my family right now. I declare that the blood of Jesus is more powerful than all the power of the enemy. I am blessed to be a blessing. I am blessed when I lie down; I am blessed when I sit down; I am blessed when I run around! I am blessed and my family shall receive the overflow.

Healing is mine. Deliverance is mine. Freedom is mine cause Christ has made me the head and not the tail. I declare that Satan's authority is revoked and cancelled forever, in the mighty name of Jesus. AMEN!
