The Importance of the
Upcoming Call in Dallas
This past week I have had a big prophetic download, a fresh outpouring of
revelation about the destiny of the Call. The Lord has been speaking to me
about the importance of the upcoming Call in Dallas. He has shown me the
importance of history, building on the shoulders of the great leaders of the
past. The aim of the Call is not only spiritual. Its aim and final
destination is to change history, to change court systems, to bring not only
love, but also justice. It is very important to know the history of the
movement that we are involved in, where it is going, and what the Lord’s
ultimate design is. The journey has not been something of time and chance,
but of destiny and sovereign providence.
In 1999, a year before the Call was birthed, a girl from Colorado Springs
came to me with a dream she had. In this dream she saw a building with many
columns, and many steps leading up the front. I was leading an army of young
people up the steps to lay hold of the pillars. The building was the Supreme
Court Building. I believe that the supreme calling of The Call is to change
the courts of America. The aim of the Call is revival and transformation of
society, this means changing history. So, a year later when I launched the
Call, these young guys had a vision about revival breaking out in fires
across America. It was during election time, and the vision had to do with
the nation turning back to God. We felt the need to pray for the elections.
According to Derrick Prince, "When the church prays, God removes kings and
he exalts them. He removes judges and he pulls them down." The call is about
changing the history of America, "America’s Providential History."
Unearthing the Cause
of the Unborn
So, I am having this major download right now from God, I feel the intimacy
of God coming to me and giving me my next providential assignment in
history. Pastor Che Ahn said to me, "Lou, it is amazing that Laci Peterson’s
body was found in the SF Bay right after the Call. And the concerned women
of America are trying to prove it a double murder." Was it just a fetus or
was it a murdered baby? The Storm right after the call unearthed the woman
and her baby that had been stuck in the mud. I want to tell you, abortion
has been stuck in the mud in America. It went underground because the price
that people were paying was so great. Guys like Randall Terry, who lost
everything, including his family to court cases as he stood up for life, for
free speech, for the men and women that stood up peacefully in front of the
abortion clinics. It was wrong; it was tyranny that they would take away the
homes and the lives of those that stood up for free speech. These courts
said that men and women could not stand in front of abortion clinics.
Basically if they did, they would take their homes, their children,
everything. Well, it changed this month. Something is changing right now.
Praise God!
What I want to say is, the Call has something to do with what is happening
right now, unearthing this issue. There is a storm coming in this nation,
just like the civil war, unless we can plead the blood of Jesus that is
stronger than the blood of judgment and vengeance on a nation that has
killed over 42 million babies. I believe that we are entering the
providential moment when God wants to change history. Not just the court
cases, but I believe he wants to change the courts, and he also wants to
change the hearts of men through revival. If we can get revival and a move
of justice in this nation, we can see the transformation of a nation again.
Finney got revival in the 1830’s, a massive outbreak of revival. Young guys
that came under Finney's preaching, like Theodore Weld, began preaching
against slavery and soon justice and revival moved together. This is not a
pietistic revival. That is what has been wrong in the past. We have had
revival, but it has been pietistic revival, rather than a move of justice.
Jesus is a God of justice. This is why He says in Luke, "The Spirit of the
Lord is upon Me to deliver the oppressed." We make it all spiritual, but it
is not just spiritual. He wants to change systems and institutions. He says
that He will not tire until he brings justice to the nations. He is the
judge of the living and the dead. It is not enough to have some kind of feel
good religion; we need abolitionists, abortion Abolitionists. We need those
that will trumpet justice, just like Martin Luther King, who was raised out
of the praying church. Before the Call I read about Martin Luther King.
Inflamed, I said, "God I want to be a Martin Luther King for abortion!" Do
you ever pray prayers like that? You have got to pray prayers like that. You
are not an accident. If God chose you to be here at this time in history, he
has chosen you to fulfill the purposes of God in your generation. You have
got to find out what He is doing in your generation and go for it with all
your heart and let nothing keep you from that divine objective.
Restoring the
Revelation of the Bridegroom
Without a doubt, one of the things God is doing is restoring the revelation
of the Bridegroom. He is restoring a revelation of fasting to a generation.
I think the next thing He is going to restore is God as judge, who marches
forth in justice. I tell you all the angels in heaven were warring with
Martin Luther King in his battle. The church marched forward through a
prophet named Martin Luther King, and some people like him are here today.
So, don’t waste your sorrows and don’t get discouraged. Press on towards the
prize of the higher calling for Jesus Christ. Say, "Make my life an
extraordinary life!"
The woman and her baby were unearthed in the San Francisco Bay, right where
we prayed, and a kid from Florence, Alabama wrote me with a dream. He didn’t
know me; I had never met him before. There are dreams that come to you that
you just fluff off, but there are some that strike you, like BOOM! and you
can’t get rid of it. It goes into your soul like an arrow and you know,
"that’s me!" Here this young kid has a dream and in it he and I are watching
TV and we are watching the Giants play Baseball at SF stadium. But in the
dream I am the third base coach. So, I am watching myself in the game, and I
am so excited about what is happening in the SF baseball game. Then the
scene changes and he and I are walking together on the field after the game
and we are talking about what an incredible game it was, we are so excited
about what had just happened. Then the dream changes and I am riding in a
Lincoln Towncar through Birmingham, Alabama. There were skydivers and camera
crews preparing for something. What does Birmingham, Alabama have to do with
it? What does the Lincoln Towncar have to do with it? Birmingham held a
civil rights march in the year of 1963, forty years ago. Lincoln Towncar:
Lincoln, for Abraham Lincoln, and I believe the Towncar has to do with
governmental change in DC. I believe that the Lord is saying, "Lou, you are
the third base coach for this Call, you are sending them home now for the
final Call as we know it." We are going to Dallas on the fortieth
anniversary of President Kennedy’s assassination. We are going to Dallas on
the fortieth anniversary of the march in Birmingham.
Reversing Haman's
Decree
I wrote the book, "Fast Forward," and it was about Esther reversing Haman’s
decree. It was also about Roe vs. Wade being changed, Engel vs. Vitale being
reversed. By the way, Engle vs. Vital is being changed. George Bush has made
an executive decree that any school who refuses the free speech right of
kids to pray, will lose their funding. THAT is an answer to the call New
York. GLORY! Come on! His truth is marching on! I believe that Roe vs. Wade
must be broken in the heavens, that is why the skydivers were in the dream.
They are the ones that risk themselves in the heights to win the battle for
abortion, for death to be broken off. I want to tell you that the Call is an
Esther Call to reverse Haman’s decree; I believe it with all my heart.
What would happen if we spent a year or seven months with an Esther calling
to break these decrees? What would happen if we set our faces with a
corporate unity to ask God to release an Esther anointing in this nation; to
change government in our schools? Does anyone have faith to do that
together? What will happen if we walk for forty days, from LA to Dallas,
almost the same route as the "Turning Tour," praying, "Lord, break the death
sentence off this generation!" The dying is over with; it is time to go into
the Promised Land! What would happen if Terry Millingler, an
African-American guy, would inspire young African-American people, from
Washington DC, to walk from DC to Dallas? What would happen if it inflamed
the vision of a whole nation? What if they came from Minnesota, maybe just
20 kids? What if they came from all over? We would begin to drag this whole
Supreme Court thing out of the mud and say, "No More!" to the Supreme Court
of Heaven. I am no longer content to live with a small vision. I think we
can do this. I think the days of Martin Luther King are rising again, and I
feel that we could stir up a vision again, a vision of justice for the
oppressed, justice for the unborn, revival in our land!
Start dreaming dreams and you’ll stop believing that you are a little speck
in history; you’ll believe you are an extraordinary gear in God’s ways of
movement. You may think you are a small gear, but in a watch, a small gear
is crucial. That is why every one of us must do what we are called to. He
has placed us at this time, in this season of history, with specific people
around us. The Bible says, "I placed the boundaries where they were to
live." It isn’t an accident that you are where you are. You are there for a
purpose, to change those who God has ordained to be around you. We live our
lives with such a sense of meaninglessness, and lack of purpose. Yet
everyday we should live with a sense of divine expectation. "What is it
today that the Lord has given me to do?"
What would Happen if
We Woke Up?
Can I put a passage into your devotional toolbox? Isaiah 50:4, Memorize it
and every morning quote it when you get up. "The Lord God has given me the
tongue of disciples, that I may know how to sustain the weary one with the
word. He AWAKENS me morning by morning. He awakens my ear to listen as a
disciple." What would happen if we all woke up this way? Right now people
are bored, but you have been chosen to make history. This is what I am
talking about, providential history, not just with nations, but also with
people, with individuals. We are God’s workmanship, His masterpiece, and His
work of art. Ephesians 2:10. God did not just wake up this morning and say,
"You know, I am just going to slap some paint down on the canvas." Time and
chance stuff has got to go. We have got to reverse all this time and chance
evolution stuff. We have given a whole generation over to time and chance. I
believe a generation will arise that will say, "NO," to this thing. There
are no accidents. Every kid that is thinking of committing suicide needs to
know that they are not an accident. This new art movement of random paint
slapping is living out the worldview, that time and chance derive everything
and that nothing has meaning. Look back to the art of the Reformation and
the Renaissance, a time of revival, there was such beauty, order, and such
glory! There is no time and chance, we are God’s workmanship.
Some of you, when awakened at three or four in the morning will not be able
to go to sleep because you will know that God has something to say to you.
Lets pray that God will help us to live our lives not just waking up in the
morning complaining and grumbling, but waking up to say, "Lord, open my ears
today. I want you to help me live a life of significance. Make my life
count, not just for today, but also in the direction of a long line of
things to come. Make me one to change history. Let it be said of me like
David, I fulfilled the purposes of God for my generation." Claim that you
are sons and daughters, that you have a right to live as sons and daughters,
that you have a right hear God's voice morning by morning.
God Doesn't Have to
Destroy this Nation
I believe that the Lord won’t have to destroy this nation because of sin; I
believe that the Lord may call forth an Esther anointing, that He could so
reverse the tide, as it was in Esther’s time, for the support of Israel, for
the support of the unborn. I believe that the Lord will raise up whole
armies of young preachers enflamed with justice for the unborn, that the
Supreme courts of Heaven would overrule the supreme courts of the US through
the prayer of God's people.
I believe that for every social injustice, God raises individual voices, and
where has the voice been since 1973? Where is the Martin Luther King Jr.,
where is the John Quincy Adams, where is the individual? There is not going
to be one individual’s voice because the Church is going to be the voice. He
is asking the Church to be the answer for abortion. He is looking for a
whole generation that will stand up and say, "It was my generation that was
afflicted by abortion, and we won’t stand for it anymore." Who has been
affected by abortion? We have been affected. Since an unborn child cannot
speak, its generation must speak up for it. We must care for the single
mother, we must lead the way of social justice and compassion.
God Never Starts Over
This is very important; God never starts over; He always builds upon
history. history is very important. In fact, I do my devotions, not only
with the Bible, but I study history and I hear God’s voice in it. Why? I
believe that God is the author of history. If He is the author of history,
then all history is sacred. I believe the Bible is the canon, but when I
read Churchill, I can’t help but worship God. I read Churchill and I am
moved to worship God because He raises up people like him to change History.
If you want to succeed in what God has for you, in some measure, you have
got to know the history of the movement that you are a part of. It’s called
honoring your heritage.
Every one of us should be familiar with three books in terms of providential
history in the US, and those are: "The Light and the Glory" by Peter
Marshall, #2 "From Sea to Shining Sea" by Peter Marshall, and #3 "Sounding
Forth the Trumpet." These are books that have shaped my life. They are a
part of my personal memorial, a part of my history. In my office is a
collection, a memorial of books and art that shaped my life. I am brought
back time and again to my collection of books to stir the fires. The Bible
tells about the Pharisees who had phylacteries on their arms and their
foreheads. They were writing the word upon themselves so that it was always
before them. Putting the word always before them. I keep art in my office,
like a wall of intercession, keeping the word before me.
I have been reading books from my archives. I find myself crying out to God,
"Raise up, John Quincy Adams again for our country." Who, in one of the
darkest hours, was the last link with the forefathers. Quincy, at age 80,
rises up and begins to battle the Supreme Court over slavery. Right now we
are in a time of Providential History, but instead of slavery, we must fight
abortion. And you, right now, are in a providential moment to reverse the
injustice, the Call is a trumpet.
Time to "Bring It
Home"
We have got to understand what is happening at the Call. We are now at third
base and it is our time to bring it home. As far as I know, it could be our
last shot. There must be a change; there must be breakthroughs. The prayers
of the saints raise up righteous men so that the atmosphere changes, that it
might be conducive to the spread of the gospel. If we don’t pray for the
government, we loose. I think this message is to be put on our shoulders to
carry to the next generation. You must be held accountable for what you hear
today. We need to pray for our president. We need to pray for the Supreme
Court. Pray that God shifts things in America.
Norma McCorvey, the Roe of "Roe vs. Wade," is now a Christian and she is
calling the year 2003 a year of fasting and prayer to reverse her own court
case. Let's move with that Call! Faithfulness in prayer for leadership will
bring order. The apostle Paul connects a social environment with the
faithful interaction of all people, especially for those in authority, who
rule the people. We must pray for the Supreme Court. Day and night
intercession is what is going to bring about justice. Luke 18 Vs. 2. "Grant
me justice against my adversary. . . The Lord says, "Listen to what the
unjust judge says, and will not God bring justice to those that cry out to
him DAY and Night?" Let’s pray day and night for the justice of the unborn,
for the oppressed. If this churns in you, lets start a holy experiment here.
Lets pray day and night for the unborn, that God will break abortion not
only in the law courts, but also in the hearts of men and women so that
society will be changed as well.
