We recently had a wonderful time in Egypt! The
Spirit of God moved very powerfully on the children, youth, and adults -
and many Sudanese Refugees- who were sooo hungry for God!
When we were on the flight from London to Cairo,
the Lord gave me a vision and a word for Egypt. God’s destiny is on
Egypt! Egypt is a key to the region and we must pray for Egypt to fulfill
its purpose in these days. There are many precious saints of God living
and ministering in Egypt!
In the hotel we stayed at, there were many Coptic
Christians who were hungry for more of God. They waited for us to talk to
them at every opportunity.
At the end of this vision there is an account of
what God did for a little boy of in one of the meetings. Some little
Sudanese children, who had been tortured and had fled to Egypt, were
supernaturally touched by God and healed.
VISION FOR
EGYPT
He first showed me a vision of a baby in a "basket-like crib" - like the
pictures you see of baby Moses.
Trust!
Moses’ mother attempted to hide her precious son from the terror of
Pharaoh and all of his might. I wonder how you would feel if, by faith,
you had to let your baby float away in a basket? The early Celtic fathers
of the faith in Ireland, called the Peregrini ( 4-6th century), sailed
out without any way to steer their little ships, or any oars to push
themselves in any direction - they trusted God to send the winds that
would take them to the place He had ordained for them.
I thought we were pretty bold when we came to
America, not knowing just what was going to happen. We left everything
and everyone - but golly - we DID have a plane and we knew the direction
it was going! The plane also had a pilot that we could see with our
natural eyes. But Moses' mother DIDN'T know what was going to happen-
that’s TRUST, folks! Well guess what? God’s hiding place was simply
amazing-the very opposite of what you or I would have thought of in the
natural.
GOD CAN DO WHAT HE
WANTS - EVEN WITH PEOPLE WHO DON'T LIKE HIM!
I remember one time when my husband was preaching
in a big public school in England. The Principal, a very strong, arrogant
man, forbade us to make an alter call. So we just trusted God, and do you
know after David finished preaching the Gospel this same ungodly
Principal suddenly jumped onto the platform and made an alter call
himself! 300 kids came forward for salvation!
I’m sure that Principal was as shocked as we
were! But God can do anything - HA HA DEVIL - God looks on His enemies and
Laughs !
GOD CAN SUPPLY ANY
WAY HE WANTS
Right slap bang in the middle of Pharaoh’s house
was where God hid that little prophet. What a shock they had years later
when they discovered who they had been feeding and clothing with all the
riches of Egypt! DON'T LIMIT GOD! HE CAN DO ANYTHING!
God spoke to me and said, “The destiny and
call of Egypt is to be a refuge.”
Abraham and Sarah went to Egypt to find refuge
from the famine - except Abraham messed it up by lying about his wife. (
Gen 12)
The Lord kept Joseph hidden in a jail in Egypt -
until God brought him forth as the provider for his family when there was
famine. And finally his whole house came into Egypt for refuge and Egypt
was the source of their provision. (Gen 39-Gen 46)
Mary and Joseph and Jesus also took refuge in
Egypt, keeping out of the way of Herod, until it was God’s time (Matt
12). Egypt provided for them.
EVIL INTERFERENCE CAN NOT THWART GOD'S
DESTINY
Of course, the evil one always opposes and tries
to interfere with the destiny of a nation, family, or the destiny and call
of an individual - BUT, NEVERTHELESS, THE CALL IS THERE - and Egypt has a
call to be a refuge. Right now the Sudanese and many other nationalities
have found refuge in Egypt.
Did you know that God has promised that there
will be an alter to the Lord in the midst of the land of Egypt?
”...And the Lord shall be known to Egypt and the Egyptians shall know
the Lord in that day......and they shall vow a vow to the Lord and perform
it. And..." (LISTEN TO THIS AND PRAY
FOR EGYPT).. ”In that day Israel shall be the third with
Egypt and with Assyria and even a blessing in the midst of the Land.
Whom the Lord shall bless saying, ‘BLESSED BE EGYPT, MY PEOPLE AND ASSYRIA
THE WORK OF MY HANDS, AND ISRAEL, MINE INHERITANCE’ (Is: 19:19-25).
Pray for Egypt and for the Christians there- God
is moving in a powerful way!
