Greed Birthed from
Need
======================
Las Vegas may be considered the
gambling capital of the world, where almost everything is attributed to
chance or luck with very little regard for divine providence or the
prosperity of God. Within Las Vegas lies the paradox of tremendous need and
conversely awful greed. Each year thousands of desperate people visit,
looking for a ‘quick fix’ to all of their problems. The empty promises of
Las Vegas tell their tale on pain etched faces and broken hearts as a
multitude of lives are corrupted, ruined and ruled by material greed.
Some arrive already bound by
addiction, yet others are added to their distraught ranks before their time
in the city draws to a close. Homeless and hotelier live side by side in
desperate spiritual poverty. It is into this spiritually desolate climate
that the Holy Spirit desires to pour out repentance, salvation and Father’s
abundant grace and mercy.

Las
Vegas WILL Hear
======================
The Lord said to me “Las Vegas
is like Simeon”. I interpret this as a prophetic foretelling of a time when
the city will HEAR and respond to the Gospel of Jesus Christ. This phrase
had a sense of immediacy attached to it.
Las Vegas will see the Life and
Light of Christ and will receive the consolation of salvation, experiencing
a divine visitation of the manifest presence of Jesus. During this
visitation many will rise into their God given destinies. Sadly, countless
others will also reject the message of Truth and will fall and perish
eternally. The Sword of Truth is going to penetrate the hearts of many in
the city of Las Vegas and there will be a great crying out for the mercy of
God as the message of the Resurrection is preached with passion and
conviction. The Word of God will be shared with compassion and authority
and will be confirmed with signs and wonders and miracles of salvation,
healing and deliverances.

A
Counter-Attack of False Healing and more....
=======================================
Within three months of the city
wide evangelistic Christian outreach in June 2003, the enemy will launch a
fierce counterfeit attack against the Kingdom of Christ, which will take the
form of the release and increase of a false healing anointing. TV and media
coverage of such programs will intensify greatly in September 2003. The
church must rise and pray for deliverance of the media into the hands of the
Holy Spirit and for the loosing of Godly discernment to distinguish between
Truth and falsehood.
Furthermore, the enemy will
contest the coming prophetic outpouring (Joel/Acts 2) by raising up many
more psychics in Las Vegas. Even at this time the enemy has plans to
convene a massive psychic/New Age gathering in 2005 in/around the Las Vegas
area. Pray for confusion in the enemy’s camp and that such a gathering will
not take place.

The
Father has the Last Word
=========================
The Lord is going to establish
His praise in Las Vegas - hallelujah! Against all odds, the sound and songs
of praise will rise from the city and there will be an immense outpouring of
signs and wonders including increased angelic activity in the city, which
will be reported in the public domain. National newspaper will carry
‘angel’ headlines. Pray and ask the Lord to send worship teams to the city
and for the establishment of a 24-7 prayer tower.
Further, the Lord is going to
launch new mercy ministries in the city to feed the homeless, to care for
the prostitutes and to look after the addicted and the abused. I see a
check book with a blank cherub being inscribed with the words ‘kingdom
paid’. The amount is for millions of dollars and one cherub after another
is being written. This speaks of great wealth being transferred into mercy
ministries and I believe that wealth will also be made available for
assisting those who have accrued debt through gambling. This will not do
away with the need to make restitution at the direction of the Holy Spirit,
but some new Christian converts will simply have no means to repay their
debts. The Lord is, therefore, going to equip the church to assist those
with no means to support themselves. This is a return to the New Testament
profile of the community of believers sharing everything.
“All the
believers were one in heart and mind. No one claimed that any of his
possessions was his own, but they shared everything they had. With great
power the apostles continued to testify to the resurrection of the Lord
Jesus, and much grace was upon them all. There were no needy persons among
them. For from time to time those who owned land or houses sold them,
brought the money from the sales and put it at the apostles’ feet, and it
was distributed to anyone as he had need.”
Acts 4:32-34
The Lord is going to restore
Godly community living in Las Vegas by re-populating the city in part with
devout Christians. Believers are even now are receiving a call to re-locate
to Las Vegas and bless the city.
Pray for the salvation of the
city of Las Vegas and please continue to uphold Todd Bentley, Patricia
Coking and their colleagues and team members before the Lord as they reach
out in the love and resurrection power of Christ to the city of Las Vegas.
