Greetings friends, These
are indeed extraordinary days requiring the full attention of God's people
and essential cooperation between Heaven and earth. The prophet/king David
knew something of the conflict of nations and once expressed--- One thing
I have asked from the LORD, that I shall seek: that I may dwell in the house
of the LORD all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the LORD, and
to meditate in His temple. For in the day of trouble He will conceal me in
His tabernacle; in the secret place of His tent He will hide me; He will
lift me up on a rock. (Ps 27:4-5)
Despite the tendency of human nature to become anxious during times of
unrest, the people of God must steadfastly remain in the Spirit of Peace.
When times are the darkest, light shines all the more brilliantly. We are
called to be the "light" and "salt" of the world... to be illumination and
spiritual flavor. When our anchor is securely fashioned in Christ, then the
conflict of nations and political unrest cannot deter God's people from
their heavenly mandate.
FOCUS- FOCUS- FOCUS
The events of recent days have clearly created quite a stir in the
Heavenlies. One word has come through as a clear mandate involving issues
surrounding our nation's involvement in Iraq- FOCUS. Despite the clear
concerns for our nation's military personnel and the political issues
involving the conflict of nations, we must maintain a clear focus on the
admonitions of Heaven and the birthing of God's purposes in our nation and
throughout the earth.
Over the past few years we have continued to stress the importance of
maintaining a spiritual determination to see heavens� blueprint established
in the earth. As with Daniel, the Prince of Persia is continuing its attempt
to withstand the release of Heavenly provision to the earth. The Lord has
stated that the spiritual influences we see depicted in Daniel 10 are the
very ones predominantly involved in this hour. If our focus is diverted or
even divided, then it would hinder the ability of the Church to fully
apprehend the release of divine opportunity presently before us. There is an
open door through which we must ascend to begin the unveiling of Kingdom
power and authority.
Clearly, the political objectives involving this conflict are just.
Nonetheless, we must be careful not to allow the enemy to escalate conflict
before its appointed time in an attempt to frustrate spiritual objectives.
The Prince of Persia
In January of 1999 we were involved, with several other ministries, in
Prophetic meetings of leaders to seek the Lord for insight into the coming
seasons. Throughout the years, these gatherings have been very fruitful in
outlining the Lord's heart for a given season and also identifying plans of
the enemy set against the Church and our nation.
In this particular year, the Lord graciously shared very specific issues
that have direct application to the events of recent days. In summary, the
acts of terrorism and unrest among the Islamic nations surrounding the
region of the Middle East have been the orchestration of a spiritual
influence identified in the Bible as the Prince of Persia. The present
conflict facing our nation is more spiritual than political.
The Bible plainly foretells a time of conflict with the nation identified
as "Babylon." Our focus must be for a concentrated voice to ascend heaven,
asking for the Lord's intervention to prohibit the inappropriate timing for
these conflicts. Most importantly, our earnest aspiration is to see the
Lord's great power and authority demonstrated in the earth and among the
nations.
1999: "TERRORISM IS NOT COMING- IT IS HERE"
In the meetings the Holy Spirit gave us an admonition and said,
"Terrorism is not coming...It is already here and an attack is imminent." We
shared part of this perspective in the article, "The Lord�s Heart For
Intercession." This same influence is at the heart of the war we are
presently engaging.
The prophecy went on to say that the attack will come through the
marriage of a "Religious" spirit and "Political" spirit forming an un-holy
alliance. This will be an evil double anointing, thinking they are doing
good and serving god, yet promoting evil.
THE BIRTHING OF GOD'S PURPOSES
Clearly, the Holy Spirit was sharing with us the plans of the enemy and
the ultimate purpose of these plans that extended far beyond the promoting
of a radical agenda. In these revelations, the Lord specifically stated that
the ultimate purpose of the un-holy alliance is to "frustrate the
birthing of God's purposes in our nation."
The very fact that the terrorism and national conflict has been
inaugurated, is proof positive that great end-time purposes are being
birthed with notable power and authority coming to those groomed and
prepared for this day. There will be a company of believers who will "cross
over" as spies to taste the good word of God and the Power of the age to
come and share it with the Body at large and introduce a new day in the
Spirit. This can only be fully realized through the steadfast intercession
of God�s prayer warriors.
THE LORD�S HOLY ALLIANCE
In the meeting in 1999 the Lord identified His "Holy Alliance" and
antidote for the plans of the enemy. His strategy is for the emergence of
the "Watchman" which will be the Holy partnership of the "Prophet/Prophetic"
and the "Intercessor" providing continual prayer. This one reason we are
presently seeing great interest in "Houses of Prayer" being established
throughout the Church. Leaders are discerning this great need in order to
touch Heaven for this long foretold day.
The Lord went on to give this admonition to us..."This is not to be
touched by human hands- that is, human perceptions, traditions and formulas.
Instead, that which is coming will be Spirit led and Spirit sponsored."
All that is taking place in our nation is directed against the divine
purposes the Lord has desired to release to us. However, as the scriptures
point out, "From the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of
heaven suffers violence, and violent men take it by force." If we truly
hunger to see God's government birthed and functioning, we must unwaveringly
take our post of duty and appropriate the Lord's authority through anointed
prayer. That is His strategy for this season.

Waiting On The Lord- By Wanda Davis
On March 17, 2003, at around 1:30 in the morning, the Lord gave me a
dream that seems to have relevance for this season we are presently in. The
nature and atmosphere of the dream clearly communicated that its message
contained an admonition and directive for our ministry and perhaps the
corporate body as well.
The dream begins in a setting similar to a church or conference meeting.
In it, I observed a man whom I have never met in the natural but know
indirectly through friends as a powerful and faithful servant of the Lord.
His name is Sadhu Sundar Selvaraj. He is originally from India but his
ministry is based in Singapore. I watched as he was earnestly praying for a
specific woman and noticed that much power was being deposited through this
man and was deeply ministering to the needs of the woman. In fact, the
virtue was so intense that she was unable to speak.
I continued to watch as Sundar walked over to me and called me by name.
He said, "Wanda, there is too much rushing in many meetings and not enough
waiting upon the Lord." Although this may initially seem like a simple word,
it was delivered with power and appeared to be an important admonition for
us and the body of Christ. It was illustrated that the fruit of "Waiting on
the Lord" was demonstrated in the ministry to the woman.
Now having prayed and meditated upon the dream, it seems the Holy Spirit
is releasing a measure of understanding into its meaning. Somehow, it is a
strategy to help launch us into the next season of the Spirit and flow more
fluently with Him. It is an expression of the desire of His heart for us.
I believe we have only a small fragment of comprehension concerning the
ministry of "waiting on the Lord." Perhaps this particular individual was
used to communicate this message because of the unique culture from which he
comes and the discipline they inherently possess to more patiently wait on
God. We in our society have been indoctrinated into an accelerated mind-set
and sometimes miss divine opportunities in our meetings and individual
lives. Our admonition in our meetings is to "rest" in the Lord and more
patiently tarry until there is power for ministry.
There are a few scriptures that have emerged with application that may be
helpful and encouraging as we discover more fully this important ministry.
Once we discover the fruit of "waiting on the Lord" and ministering to Him,
it will help encourage us to develop in this arena. Certainly part of the
application of this message is to help fortify us during seasons of
discouragement so that we would not begin to question the Lord and His
promises to us.
I will stand on my guard post and station myself
on the rampart; and I will keep watch to see what He will speak to me, and
how I may reply when I am reproved. Then the LORD answered me and said,
"Record the vision and inscribe {it} on tablets, that the one who reads it
may run. For the vision is yet for the appointed time; it hastens toward the
goal and it will not fail. Though it tarries, wait for it; for it will
certainly come, it will not delay. (Hab 2:1-3) (see also
Hebrews 10:36-39 and Isaiah 40:31)
According to His word, the Lord is not slack concerning His promises but
rather long-suffering toward us and not willing that any should perish but
all come to repentance. We should be diligent to be found by Him in peace
and in good courage, even during difficult seasons. That is certainly our
goal and prayer.
