IF WE REPENT, EVEN THE GUILTY WILL BE DELIVERED!

OK, THIS WILL
BE CONTROVERSIAL...HOLD ONTO YOUR HAT!-- A note by Steve Shultz
I believe that this word IS PROPHETIC and yes, it WILL BE CONTROVERSIAL.
This is not a statement as to the righteousness or otherwise of the Governor
who did the "pardoning" in Illinois last week. But I do believe the Lord is
giving a SIGN IN THE EARTH that this is what HE is about to do...that is, HE
is about to pardon, even the guilty.
The good news is: that's YOU AND ME.
====================
"All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and
gave us the ministry of reconciliation: 19 that God was reconciling the
world to himself in Christ, not counting men's sins against them. And he
has committed to us the message of reconciliation. 20 We are therefore
Christ's ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us.
We implore you on Christ's behalf: Be reconciled to God. 21 God made him
who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the
righteousness of God." 2 Cor 5:17-21
=====================
"But God shows and clearly proves His [own] love for us by the fact
that while we were still sinners, Christ
(the Messiah, the Anointed
one) died for us." (AMPLIFIED) Rom 5:8
=====================
There is a great irony. The "world" see's the Church as anxious to "hang
the guilty" while at the same time, pleading for their salvation. It might
make sense to us. It doesn't make sense to "them." The even greater irony
is that we've SEEN THE GUILTY, and THEY ARE US!!
Jesus made it clear who was justified in HIS sight, by the attitudes of
THEIR heart and the words of THEIR mouths. The man who said, "Thank you God
that I am not like that sinner" (paraphrased) will not go down to his house
justified before God. But the sinner in the eyes of everyone, who
says, "Lord
be merciful to me, a sinner," WILL go down to his house JUSTIFIED!

IF WE REPENT, EVEN THE GUILTY WILL BE DELIVERED! - Joni

Many of us have been crying out for our loved ones who are "guilty" and
non-repentant.
We've cried out to God that they would return to Him and to us. But if I'm
hearing what the Lord is saying correctly, I believe a "key" to their release is
that we focus on our own repentance.
As I was reading in the book of Job, I sensed confirmation to that through the
following verses:
Job 23: 23 - 30:
(23) If you return to the Almighty, you will be built up:
You will remove iniquity far from your tents.
(24) Then you will lay your gold in the dust,
And the gold of Ophir among the stones of the brooks.
(25) Yes, the Almighty will be your gold
And your precious silver;
(26) For then you will have your delight in the Almighty,
And lift up your face to God
(27) You will make your prayer to Him,
He will hear you, And you will pay your vows.
(28) You will also declare a thing,
And it will be established for you;
So light will shine on your ways,
(29) When they cast you down, and you say,
'Exhalation will come!'
Then He will save the humble person
(30) He will even deliver one who is not innocent;
Yes, he will be delivered by the purity of your hands.

ILLINOIS DEATH ROW RELEASE IS A CONFIRMING SIGN
=============================================
I believe the recent release of death row inmates in Illinois was a
prophetic sign that we in the Church are coming into such times!
"How many more cases of wrongful convictions have to occur before we can
all agree that this system is broken?" Gov. George Ryan was quoted as saying.
How profoundly prophetic! It is time for us to come before the Lord and cry
out for our own wrongs, rather than putting others to death that may or may not
be guilty.
And in the process of our own repentance, we will see many released to
return to Him!
Did they all come to Jesus? I don't know. But I do know that it is not the
will of God that any would perish, but that all would come to Him and inherit
eternal life. And I believe that the Lord is using this natural event in
Illinois as a sign to speak to us today.

PRAYER
========
Lord, lead us in the way You would have each of us respond to what Your
Word says in Job 23: 23 - 30 so that our lives and ways would be pleasing in
Your sight, and those who are still walking in guilt would also come to You and
be set free.
In Jesus' name, Amen.
