THE HOLY SPIRIT SPOKE TO ME, "YOU DON'T HAVE TO WAIT 30 DAYS TO 'BOMB' IRAQ."

Jessica were speakers for our New England ELIJAH LIST conference several
years ago. They are life-style intercessors who take prayer as seriously as

prayed for years and continue to pray until revival and the harvest breaks

Jon:
Recently during worship, the Holy Spirit spoke to me (Jon) a very puzzling
phrase. He said, “You don’t have to wait 30 days to bomb Iraq!”
I had absolutely no idea what the Lord was saying in this. But after a time
of prayer, it was clear that He was giving both a gentle rebuke and a
clarion mission to Christians in America and possibly around the world.

HE IS CALLING THE BODY TO VIOLENT PRAYER!
==========================================
Many have been favoring a reliance on military weaponry to battle Iraq
instead of the spiritual weaponry of prayer! Yes the Lord wants military
strikes—in the spirit, against the principalities that hold the nation in
slavery. He is calling His body to a violent, purposeful and continual
strike in CORPORATE PRAYER for Iraq at this urgent hour.

Fear of backlash has kept us from prayer
========================================
The Lord showed me that a major reason we prefer military strikes over
prayer is that we don’t want to confront the spirit empowering Iraq—--the
spirit of Babylon. Many Christians in times past and present have
experienced backlash from this demonic power.
Some of this has been because we cannot defeat what we embrace!
I have personally been going through a pretty strong season of repentance
from ‘hidden pockets of agreement’ with this power. Pride, elitism,
self-reliance, financial idolatry, stepping on the backs of others for
personal gain… these are all issues the Lord is dealing with at this time so
that He can propel us forward to victory!
“And they overcame by the blood of the Lamb, by the word
of their testimony, and by loving not their lives even
unto death” (Revelation 12:11).

PRAYER FROM THE LAUNCHING PAD OF HUMILITY
==========================================
I feel strongly from the Lord that unless significant corporate prayer is
mobilized at this time—from the ‘launching pad’ of humility and repentance--
military action against Iraq may work to our detriment, to Israel’s
detriment, and perhaps even to the antichrist spirit’s gain.
Or is backlash relegated only to the spiritual? OUR ONLY SOLUTION: WE NEED
TO FOCUS INTERCESSION ON THIS NATION!

Can I not bring down an evil regime?
====================================
The Lord very clearly quickened to us Acts 12 as a prayer strategy for Iraq.
His question to me was this: Can I not bring down an evil regime?
The apostle Peter found God could. Herod, leader of an evil regime, “sought
to vex certain of the church,” and Peter was captured and sent to prison.
Christians prayed—and did not stop. Therefore, not only did an angel of the
Lord rescue Peter from prison, but the gates of the city supernaturally
opened to let the apostle through. And when Herod accepted the identity his
worshipping subjects gave him—“the voice of a god and not a man”—justice was
brought forth as an angel of the Lord struck him. Because he refused to give
God glory, this self-exalted man was eaten by worms and died.

THE APOSTOLIC CHURCH IN IRAQ
=============================
Right now a primary issue on the Lord’s heart is THE APOSTOLIC CHURCH IN
IRAQ—and perhaps elsewhere--IS UNDER THE SUBJECTION OF BABYLON!
God doesn’t want to simply topple Saddam Hussein—He wants to topple the
forces of darkness empowering a governmental reign of evil that has spanned
generations. The strategy the Lord gave is to pray for the release of
Christ’s apostolic church in Iraq.
Night and day prayer is needed until the supernatural regime of demonic
oppression is overthrown, until the prison doors are shaken, and until the
gates of Iraq are supernaturally opened for the King of glory to come in.

WHAT ABOUT THE U.S. MILITARY?
==============================
This is not to say that the US military, or a multinational coalition, won’t
be involved in establishing justice. But I can hear the prideful chant of
some Americans regarding our nation’s armed forces---“see what we did in
Afghanistan--the might of a god, and not of a man.” We will therefore be in
danger of the same judgment against pride and idolatry we are asking the
Lord to execute in Iraq!
This is not to deny the honor, the nobility, or the godliness of our
military. But they are not the Great Intercessor who establishes justice in
the earth. . .
. . . Christ is!
Now is the "kairos time" to take our place in this battle. Let us bring
continual pleas for justice, night and day, before His throne on behalf of
Iraq.

Don’t bomb the wells!
=====================
Part of our warfare must be to remind God of the ‘wells of revival’ in Iraq.
Abdicating intercession for the might of natural military alone has the
potential of decimating the very wells God wants us to re-dig.
Friends, Iraq has a Biblical legacy of incredible governmental response to
the cries of intercessors before God’s throne! Look for a moment at the
ministries of Esther and Daniel. Through their intercession, God brought
substantial and dramatic visitations to heathen kings. In fact, their
obedience, revelation and intercession eventually led to the preservation
and release of the Jews from Babylon. And not only were the Jews released
from exile, but the wealth of formerly-heathen kings was lavished upon them
to rebuild the House of the Lord!
What can God do with our intercession? Could He not visit Iraq and ignite a
societal awakening? Could it be that this nation has a redemptive invitation
to bless the Jewish people—maybe even to help fund the end-time prayer
movement?

Travailing Prayer is a key
===========================
Let's copy the examples of Esther and Daniel—it’s time to intercede for this
nation. Surely a nation can be born in a day—as long as Zion travails!
Therefore travailing prayer is being released for those who are willing in
this hour. As said in Isaiah 42:13, the Lord will go forth like a warrior.
But He will war in part by travail:
"I have kept silent for a long time, I have kept still and restrained
myself.
Now like a woman in labor I will groan, I will both gasp and pant. I will
lay waste the mountains (governments)… I will turn darkness into light
before
them…they will be turned back and put to shame who trust in idols, who say
to
molten images (or even photographic images) “you are gods” (Isaiah
42:14-17).

BIRTHING ON THE NEEDS OF ANOTHER
=================================
Jessica:
While Jon was sharing this call to prayer with our church this morning,
immediately I (Jessica) began to travail. Typically when in travailing
prayer, I only hear one or two words. This time I heard the phrase “birthing
on the knees of another.”
In ancient days there was a custom. A barren woman, unable to conceive,
would have another give birth upon her knees, and the child would become
hers. I’m sure we all remember Sarai and Hagar. As Sarai was barren, Hagar
bore a child on behalf of Abraham’s wife.
God desires for more intercessors to be raised up from within the nation of
Iraq. The nation has suffered under severe oppression and is therefore
spiritually barren, desolate, and scarred. There are only a few intercessors
in Iraq who can birth Christ’s purposes within their borders. I felt the
Lord asking us as a church, as a city, as a nation to come alongside and
begin to travail on their behalf.

HIS SARAH'S MUST ENTER INTO TRAVAIL
===================================
God wants to reverse a curse here! This time, God wants His ‘Sarah's’ in the
body of Christ to enter into travail-- to birth a harvest of ‘children of
deliverance’ for a besieged Hagar. What an amazing picture!
We as a nation must begin to weep more than ever for the lost in these
Muslim nations. Intercession must be mobilized. God’s heart is broken for
these precious peoples. Ours should be broken as well. Babylon is a spirit
that brings barrenness and desolation.
Lets ask Jesus to judge Babylon ---— but free Iraq!
