FOR NATIONAL PRAYER HAS ARRIVED!
Dear Elijah List family (or WHOEVER this is forwarded to)
When people join together to pray for a state, NEWS HAPPENS! Things come to
light! Things change quickly. GOD CHANGES THINGS QUICKLY! This email is
being sent to 58,000 of you.
Watch OREGON NEWS for the next seven days!
Many who read the ELIJAH LIST aren't aware that we're in Oregon. And
Oregon's number is "up!" for National Prayer over this state.
By nothing more than "Divine" timing, the very week we are holding a
ground-breaking conference with Graham Cooke and Larry Randolph here in
Albany, Oregon (the conference is completely full by the way but tapes will
be available), it has become Oregon's week to receive prayer from all over
the nation by and through the U.S. Strategic Prayer Network (USSPN) headed
by Chuck Pierce and Cindy Jacobs.
Thousands of intercessors will rally this week (in their homes and churches)
all over the nation to PRAY FOR OREGON!! (As they have been rallied to pray
for other states).

LET'S EXPERIMENT WITH PRAYER THIS WEEK

Let's do an experiment. Let's join (all 58,000 of us on THE ELIJAH LIST)
with the U.S. Strategic Prayer Network to pray this week for Oregon and to
pray this week for this awesome Graham Cooke conference, AND FOR A SPIRITUAL
BREAK THROUGH IN ONE OF THE MOST SPIRITUALLY DARK STATES IN THE U.S.
Graham Cooke is one of GOD'S GENERALS for this hour. Oregon is a leading
state for God's move in this same hour. And this week is a pivotal week in
Oregon's history I believe, because of all the prayer that is now directed
this way.

PRAYER DIRECTIVES

Here are some prayer directives for this conference (and the prayer
directives for Oregon are listed below:
1) Please pray that this conference will have an anointing that has not yet
been seen in the Body of Christ and that it will QUICKLY spread throughout
the nation.
2) Pray that intimacy with the Father will be birthed in this conference in
a new and precious way.
3) Pray that healing and restoration to thousands will be a hallmark of this
conference.
4) Please read the other prayer directives for Oregon below and join us in
praying for SPIRITUAL BREAKTHROUGH IN A DRY AND THIRSTY OREGON THIS VERY
WEEK.
5) Pray against sicknesses among our families and staff as the enemy fights
against us because of all the above. As I write this, my wife is suffering a
painful migraine headache that often hits at times like this. Please rebuke
this headache and all sickness that would come against us to thwart God's
calling.
6) Watch Oregon News!! Pray for Oregon's breakthrough AS A STATE to be now!!

1788 American Captain Robert Gray, the first white man to set foot in
Oregon, sails into Tillamook Bay.
1792 Gray discovers and names the Columbia River.
1805 The Lewis and Clark expedition reaches the Pacific coast and explores
the Columbia and Willamette river valleys.
1811 Astoria is founded by John Jacob Astor's Pacific Fur Company.
1818 The United States and Great Britain agree to joint occupancy of the
Oregon country.
1825 John McLoughlin of the Hudson's Bay Company builds Fort Vancouver on
the northern bank of the Columbia River.
1832 Boston merchant Nathaniel Wyeth arrives in Oregon.
1834 Jason Lee establishes a Methodist mission in the Willamette Valley.
1843 About 900 pioneers arrive in Oregon via the Oregon Trail, and a
provisional government is established.
1846 The boundary between British Canada and the United States is fixed at
the 49th parallel.
1848 The Oregon Territory is established by Congress.
1857 Oregon's state constitution is drawn up.
1859 Oregon is admitted to the Union as the 33rd state (February 14).
1877 The Nez Perce peoples are removed from the Wallowa Valley, and the Nez
Perce War takes place.
1884 The Oregon Short Line links the state with the transcontinental
railroad in Granger, Wyoming.
1902 The initiative and referendum amendment to the state constitution is
adopted.
1938 The Bonneville Dam on the Columbia River begins producing power.
1990 The northern spotted owl is listed as a threatened species by the U.S.
Department of Fish and Wildlife, placing new
pressures on the logging industry.

OVERVIEW OF SPIRITUAL CONCERNS FOR THE STATE OF OREGON

I think that it is important to understand the significance of what happened
in Oregon City just recently. The two girls who were sexually molested by
close family members, and without fathers in the home. The girls had to be
removed from their own mothers at times to be kept safe. They ended up being
sexually molested, raped, and then murdered, and buried in the back year of
a man's house until recently uncovered.
This was national news.
I remember being at the dedication of the Eric Larsen tent ministry in
Oregon City (just outside of Portland) in June which was next door to the
school and just down the road was the place where they were found these
girls.

A SPIRIT OF DEATH ON OREGON CITY
---------------------------------
A spirit of death and murder was upon OREGON CITY which was the original
capitol of Oregon and the end of the Oregon Trail. It was also where the
native peoples were hung after the Whitman massacre.
Oregon legalized abortion BEFORE Roe v. Wade and Portland had an illegal
abortion clinic where Nordstrom's is now -- opposite Pioneer Courthouse
Square.
Clinic operators paid off the Portland Police in order to operate. Portland
now has more abortions than any other place in the Pacific NW with people
traveling here to get them.
The largest monetary judgments from lawsuits have been in two lawsuits in
Portland -- Lovejoy abortion clinic & Planned Parenthood. It is also a
lesbian capital of the west coast.
The treatment of the native people's, the illegal abortion mill (RU486,
which has been tested here), & the events in Oregon City say a lot about our
state and the needs for intercession.

PRAYER DIRECTIVES FOR THE STATE OF OREGON
Note from Steve Shultz: My thanks to the many Oregon Intercessors who
supplied input on these prayer directives. This is a summary of many similar
prayer directives.

1. The pioneers who first arrived in Oregon in the 1840s referred to Oregon
as "The Land at Eden's Gate." Pray that this beautiful state would
experience the revival prophesied here by so many and that we would become a
gateway into the kingdom of God for the unsaved and backslidden.
2. Pray that the one State in the USA who has legalized "assisted suicide,"
be changed from a State with a culture of death to the state with the
greatest love for LIFE.
3. Pray that a great healing movement will be birthed from within Oregon, as
has been prophesied by many prophets.
4. Pray the extreme environmentalism will be changed, as revival breaks out
in this state, into a LOVE for God's creation but the far greater Love for
the Creator. Pray that Laws to protect the environment will reflect a
greater care for the people who live here, and that extreme environmental
laws will be changed to wise laws based on spiritual discernment and
understanding.
5. Pray that the state with the lowest church attendance per capita will
change to the state with greatest-ever-in-history turn-around where more of
it's citizen's seek hard after God than was ever believed possible.
6. Pray that righteous laws will be passed by both political parties who
have grown sick of Oregon's pornography and adult businesses (the largest
per capita adult businesses is in Oregon).
7. Pray against the spirit of independence that this state was settled in--
and pray that the people of Oregon would fall under the headship and
submission of Jesus Christ as Lord of their lives. Pray that the people and
Oregon's leadership would be submitted to Biblical truths and Godly laws.
8. Pray for the many young people in Oregon who have become casualties of
all forms of sexual abuse and demonic attack. Pray for these youth to be
protected by Oregon's laws and its people as we battle with them for victory
over alcohol, drugs, illicit sexual behavior, pornography and crime. Pray
that Oregon's youth will become the victorious "generation that seek His
face."
9. Pray that a spirit of competition and jealousy among many of our churches
(as in all states) will be quickly replaced by the opposite spirit of unity,
and fellowship in the Holy Spirit.
10. Pray that the reconciliation and revival among Native Americans will
continue. Pray that more of the Non-native population will come to "see" the
importance of reconciliation with Native Americans as crucial to the healing
of the State of Oregon, and that non-natives will participate more
intentionally in events of reconciliation. Pray as well that the Native
Population will come to understand that a great number of the non-Native
population desires reconciliation. There were many Native American tribes
who were decimated when the territory was beginning to be settled and they
cursed the land as they left. Pray for the curses to be canceled, even as
reconciliation paves the way for it to be done.
11. Pray that the many "witches covens in Oregon and New Age followers
---will turn in massive numbers to Jesus Christ.
12. Pray that any word curses that have been spoken over Oregon saying that
"Oregon is one of the darkest states spiritually" will be broken AND
REVERSED.
13. Pray that a Godly Governor will be elected in the upcoming November
elections.
14. Pray for prosperity and jobs to benefit the people of Oregon and the
Oregon economy. Pray that one of the highest (per capita) tax rates would be
reduced as wise leaders come to power.
15. Pray for God to be allowed back into the Educational system or Oregon,
from Kindergarten through University level.
16. Pray for Healing for the great numbers of people who have had abortions
and pray that God will convict abortionists to stop taking life.

STATE FLAG: The Oregon State Flag is the only state flag displaying images
on each side. The front show a heart shaped shield with an edge on top,
surrounded by the 33 stars for the 33 states in the Union 1859. The image on
the shield shows the sun setting over the Pacific Ocean with the trees,
mountains and covered wagons. There are two ships as well. A British ship is
leaving and a United States ship is arriving representing trade. The eagle
represents the United States on a banner are the words: The Union
