Dear Elijah List family and those who read this note,
Just as there is a new declared HIGH ALERT status today
in the United States, so there must be a call to the Church
for a high state of alertness in prayer.
This morning, in my quiet time, the Lord was saying to me
over and over for this day, "Watch and Pray, Watch and Pray,
Watch and Pray."
Some will only be praying and will see nothing. Some will watch
in the spirit and will even be reporting to higher officials
those things they see that are planned against innocent people
around the globe. Whatever you are called to do, do with all
your might. You may feel you never see or hear anything from
the Lord, but your prayers are SERIOUSLY needed! Even if all
you pray is, "Your Kingdom come, Lord, Your Will be done
Lord, on earth just as it's done in Heaven," -- Pray it with
all your heart, and soul and strength and might!
May we all be seriously vigilant in prayer, taking nothing for
granted. And I want to exhort you all to REFUSE to agree with
the enemy who is attempting to inflict great fear on America,
America's friends, on Israel and on Christians around the world.
Declare that you will not agree with the enemy's plans of fear, but
rather, you will stay in a place of peace, no matter what.
Below is a word by Joni Ames, who writes from time to time on
THE ELIJAH LIST. Note CAREFULLY that she is NOT insisting that
the dreams she had are literal, but she does present some
possibility of that. WHENEVER a Believer has a dream of
catastrophe, we do not handle it as a psychic would. We do not
say, "I had a premonition of what is going to happen." God forbid!
Instead, as Believers, we say, "I had a frightening dream last night
of what the enemy would love to see happen. Therefore, since God
allowed me to see the enemy's plans and thoughts, I will pray
against those plans of the enemy."
Remember that Heaven always partners with God's people on earth.
He gives us the prayers to pray . . . and then he receives those
prayers back as a pleasing incense to him--and He acts upon those
very prayers He gave us to pray.
Blessing and peace beyond peace, beyond peace to you this day!!

INTENSIVE CARE FOR INTENSIVE PRAYER NEEDED - Joni Ames

Dear Friends,
It certainly feels "ominous" these days, doesn't it? - Much like it did just
before 9/11 last year. I was asking the Lord about it and I heard, "PRAY,
PRAY, PRAY."
I believe it is time to get back and/or remain on the wall in URGENT prayer
for our nation, our leaders, and the safety, peace and well being of Israel.
I am seeing intercessors in "Intensive Care Units" and believe the Lord is
saying that we must take INTENSIVE CARE for INTENSIVE, AROUND THE CLOCK
PRAYER, so that the plans of the enemy will be thwarted, or at least be
lessened.

DREAM #1
===========
First of all, in early or mid August, I had a dream that I'd been watching
the news on TV and they said, "Israeli Intelligence is reporting that there
will be another 9/11 type of event this year, but it will be on 9/13." -
While I am not proposing to you that this was literal, I do believe it is
emphasizing the fact that the enemy may not hit when we "most expect it."
Jesus said, in Matthew 24:43, "...If the master of the house had known what
hour the thief would come, he would have watched and not allowed his house
to be broken into." - While this was an exhortation to be ready for the
coming of Jesus, it would behoove us to understand and apply the wisdom of
that statement regarding our nation's present situation as well.

DREAM #2
===========
I had another dream in the wee hours of August 24th.
When I saw the airport runway in this next dream, I was commenting about the
other dream as if it had been an actual news report.
There were many people - some I knew, and MANY I don't know. (Large crowds
of people). All were lined up on hillsides on either side of a landing
strip. I'm hearing people say, "They say it will be a disaster like 9/11
last year." - We were sensing that meant something involving airplanes. - In
fact, we all knew that there had been news reports that a terrorist threat
had been issued that said that an airplane was going to crash there, that
night, and that is why everyone was watching.

PLANE #1
===========
The plane that is "supposed" to crash starts to land. It is a BIG commercial
airplane. MANY passengers. But I see through the walls, and everyone is
calm, and I sense that the pilot is a man of tremendous, impeccable
integrity. He is right on course, knows what he is doing, and the copilot is
equally as capable. There is nothing wrong, and they are now landing just
fine. We all think they are OK.

PLANE #2
===========
All of a sudden, above and to the right hand side of the scene comes plane
#2, a very large camouflage army cargo transport plane. It is coming MUCH
too fast, and I know it is going to pass the first plane and crash and burn
on its own, but will miss plane #1, and it does. Plane #1 is apparently
safe.
HOWEVER, the pilot of plane #1 is startled by the crash. As he looks over to
see what happens to the camouflage plane, he loses sight of what he is doing
and jerks the steering wheel of his plane to the right. Therefore plane #1
crashes and burns too.

PLANE #3
===========
THEN, a THIRD plane - a small, private plane, enters the scene. It had been
just fine and out of the mix. However, he watched the scene from above
(instead of paying attention to his own business), and he suddenly loses
control of his plane, thus plane #3 crashes and burns too!

INTERPRETATION
===============
I have some thoughts, one being that this is a literal call to prayer for
our #1 commercial airlines, #2 our service men, an #3 private airplanes.
I also feel that it is a definite exhortation to pay attention to what we
ourselves are doing instead of watching and judging others' mistakes. - Even
the government's. - Because the commercial airliner and the private plane
both crashed due to watching the army transport plane.
Additionally....It was as if the 1st airplane represented USA commerce and
business. The 2nd, our US armed forces, and the third, private individuals.
The 1st was apparently going to be OK, but the government made a move MUCH
too fast, to its' own demise, which caused large commercial businesses and
even the "little guys" to crash and burn as well.
I feel this is real warning that we, as a nation, must pray for our leaders
that our armed forces do not make a move out of right timing that will cause
us to "crash and burn" and thus be responsible for our own demise.

DO NOT LET UP AFTER SEPTEMBER 11TH
==================================
Additionally, I feel that we need to be smart in realizing that "things" may
not occur when we "most" expect them to. We need to be in CONSTANT prayer,
calling forth 24 hour prayer vigils on a consistent basis, no matter what
the date. We are in serious and intense times. And again, that calls for
INTENSIVE CARE for INTENSIVE, AROUND THE CLOCK PRAYER.

THE GATES OF HELL SHALL NOT PREVAIL
===================================
Jesus says in Matthew 16:18 ".....I will build My Church, and the gates of
Hell shall not prevail against it."
At the time that was written, the towns' leaders would gather at the city
gates to make their plans. Taken in this sense, Jesus was saying that the
plans of Hell shall not prevail against the Church He is building! And YOU
are a part of that Church He is building!

JESUS GIVES US THE KEYS
=======================
Jesus also said, in the next verse, Matthew 16:19, "I will give you the keys
of the Kingdom of Heaven, and whatever you bind on earth will be bound in
heaven, and whatever you lose on earth will be loosed in heaven."
In Revelation 3:7, Jesus said, "These things says He who is holy, He who is
true, He who has the key of David, He who opens and no one shuts, and shuts
and no one opens.

WHAT ARE THE KEYS TO?
========================
The KEY of David is to the TABERNACLE of David...prayer, praise and worship.
Amos 9:11 - 13 says: (11) "On that day I will raise up the Tabernacle of
David, which has fallen down, And repair its damages. I will raise up its
ruins and rebuild it as in the days of old; (12) That they may possess the
remnant of Edom, And all the gentiles who are called by My name," Says the
Lord who does this thing. (13) "Behold, the days are coming," says the Lord,
"When the plowman shall overtake the reaper, And the treader of grapes him
who sows seed; The mountains shall drip with sweet wine, And all the hills
shall flow with it."
Jesus says in Amos 9:8, "I know your works. See, I have set before you and
open DOOR and no one can shut it: for you have a little strength, have kept
My word and have not denied My name."
And in Revelation 4:1, there is that DOOR of REVELATION: "...I looked, and
behold, a DOOR standing open in heaven. And the first voice which I heard
was like a trumpet speaking with me, saying, COME UP HERE AND
I WILL SHOW YOU THINGS WHICH MUST TAKE PLACE AFTER THIS."
When I saw the KEY in Revelation 3:7, it was as if it came up off the page
and went across the page and opened up the DOOR in Revelation 4:1. Truly, as
Davidic prayer, praise and worship is being restored to the Church, I truly
believe that it will "open the doors (of God) that should be opened and
close the doors (of the enemy) that should be closed."

HOW HE WILL WORK ALL THINGS FOR OUR GOOD IN THESE TIMES
=====================================================
We all know and love to quote Romans 8:28, saying that the Lord will "work
all things together for our good." However, there are two KEY VERSES above
that verse that tell us WHY and HOW that will happen....

HOW HE WILL DO THAT; ROMANS 8:26 - 27
===================================
(26) "The Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know WHAT we
should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit HIMSELF makes intercession FOR
us with groanings which cannot be uttered."
(27) "He who searches the hearts KNOWS what the mind of the Spirit is,
because HE makes intercession FOR the saints ACCORDING TO THE
WILL OF GOD."

"THEREFORE...."
================
Thus, Romans 8:28 THEN says, "And we know that all things work together for
good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His
purpose."
Praying in the Spirit is another valuable key for this day and time.

OUR POSTURE
=============
We in the United States have begun to see the rebuilding of the Church. And
just as happened during the rebuilding of the wall in Nehemiah, the
opposition of the enemy has come forth in like manner. Just as occurred in
Nehemiah 3:1 - 6:14, we have experienced ridicule, threat of attack,
discouragement, extortion, compromise, slander and even treachery.
So what should our posture be?
Let us continue to work towards restoration as they did in Nehemiah 4:17,
"...with one hand they worked at construction, and with the other held a
weapon."
We know that our weapons of warfare need not be the natural, carnal weapons
(2 Corinthians 10:4), but they are certainly MIGHTY IN GOD, FOR PULLING DOWN
STRONGHOLDS! - SO much so that, when our ways please God, He will make even
our enemies to be at peace with us! (Proverbs 16:7)

PRAYER
========
Lord, we worship you. We thank you for this country and for all of our many
blessings. We do not take them lightly. We know and have seen that they can
be gone in a flash. We know that we are in intense times. We ask for your
forgiveness and sanctification for us and our nation for our wrongs. We also
ask for wisdom, direction and protection for us, our loved ones, and our
leaders. We ask you to teach us how you want us to use the keys that you
have given to us. And we pray Psalms 91 and 35, and ask you to have your way
with our enemies. In Jesus name, Amen.
