Dear Elijah List readers,

I feel led to post this "HOW TO PRAY ABOUT A BASEBALL STRIKE" word.

I do not claim to know if there will BE a baseball strike or not. I know that a strike would only hurt the local economies where there are baseball stadiums. Many wonderful people have jobs in those stadiums and they need those jobs to support their families.

Thus I would ask God, according to His will, to stop a strike from happening because many people who need jobs will be hurt (I'm speaking of vendors, janitors, parking attendants, and the like). I'm not worried about those who already make an average of 2.7 million dollars a year. I'm not sure I can zealously pray that they will receive a raise beyond their 2.7 million. Sorry! (smiling).

PART II TO THE PRAYER

However, IF there is a baseball strike, I think I would speak to the Lord about a great way for Him to keep those people employed who truly need the jobs.

Did you know that God likes it when we make suggestions to him? It's called Prayer! When we truly have a relationship with the Lord, he wants us to speak to him as one who is a friend...and that includes making suggestions. The Lord loves it when we relate to him. He seeks our prayers to him. He loves it when we are intimate with him.

Are you uncomfortable with suggesting anything to the Lord? Then you may need to relax and begin to relate to him as a friend---at least more than you do.

For years, Paul Cain has been seeing (and prophesying that) stadiums will be filled with people who are receiving Christ, obtaining healings, and even seeing the dead raised.

In my view, the Lord can use a baseball strike ANY TIME HE WANTS -- to empty out stadiums so He can re-fill them with those seeking the Lord and His mercy and His power.

So . . .

Part I: "Lord, let there not be a strike so that those who need jobs can work."

Part II: "Lord, if in your Sovereignty, you choose to allow a strike, then please fulfill the many prophecies to FILL THOSE STADIUMS with those seeking YOU. That way Lord, the people who need work, will still have it, and those who need healing, will also get it.

I tell you what, if I go to a stadium and watch people being healed, I'll gladly buy popcorn to help support those needing jobs, who work at the stadium. Wouldn’t you?
