REGARDING DENNIS CRAMER'S 1997 PROPHECIES

Dennis Cramer is author of the Book (now only available as an e-book on Cdrom or as a PDF file) called, "PROPHETIC POWER IN THE NEW MILLENNIUM." In this now out of print 1997 book, Mr. Cramer predicts that "The outcomes of many national elections will hang on the intercessions of the saints, and these prayer warriors will begin to work closely with the prophets." At the time of his writing, that would have seemed improbable on a number of levels.

ABOUT AFGHANISTAN

Dennis also says in this 1997 book, this prophecy, now partially fulfilled and some yet to be fulfilled, "The national borders of Afghanistan and Iran will change drastically, even permanently, as their sovereignty is compromised through war with neighboring nations. These nations will also suffer internal strife and violent civil unrest within their respective borders as their populations revolt

ABOUT IRELAND

Dennis Cramer writes in 1997 "God's promise for Ireland is that all things will become new. She will have a fresh start like that of springtime. God will stamp newness and freshness all over Ireland and Northern Ireland. Such will be the magnificent release of His love to them. Love, forgiveness, healing, and reconciliation will flow in this land. Ireland will have one people, one government, one economy, one currency, one goal, one future. All will become as it was meant to be. The devil will go down in defeat, and mighty angels will be flying back and forth over Ireland and Northern Ireland, crying, "Peace, peace, peace!"

A WARNING TO THE BODY, BUT ESPECIALLY TO PROPHETS ABOUT A POSSIBLE "BREACH OF CONTRACT"

I recently had a powerful dream from the Holy Spirit. It literally shook me to my core! I believe it was a warning to the universal body of Christ...including all prophetic believers...and especially to His prophets.

In the dream I was standing before a large group of believers preparing to preach a typical sermon-nothing seemed out of the ordinary. So, I opened my Bible and looked down at my notes to begin the sermon. When I looked at my text for the sermon I was dumbfounded to discover it was not a verse from the Bible! I had no idea where this extra-biblical sentence came from, but I knew immediately it was not from the Bible. That's all that mattered! It was not from the Bible! And I knew I could not preach it as if it came from the Bible! I felt awkward, embarrassed, and somehow responsible.

Oddly, it was a single sentence from some historical writings which some have associated with the Bible, but which are clearly not a part of the canon of Scripture. The sentence was extra-biblical...not an actual quote from God's Written Word. I don't know how it got in my notes and I knew I certainly didn't put it there myself. But there it was and I was forced to deal with it.

IT WOULD HAVE BEEN A BREACH OF CONTRACT

I became quite upset knowing I could not in good conscience preach this sentence as if it were from God's Word...I knew I could not do that to my audience...it would have been a "breach of contract"...an actual violation of my personal belief that the Bible and only the Bible is the actual Word of God.

So, in the dream, I apologized to the audience several times, closed my notes, and ended the meeting. I was so upset that somebody had slipped in something that was not God's Word. But I knew it was better to not preach at all than to preach something that was not found in God's Word.

APPLICATION

Here is the application to the body of Christ and ESPECIALLY to all prophetic believers and even more especially to His prophets.

First and foremost, prophets are to be strictly Bible centered. Prophets are to teach and preach foundational doctrine from only the Scriptures as well as speak by revelation of the Holy Spirit. But, the one ( the revelations of the Holy Spirit) must always complement and agree exactly with the other (the written Word of God and ONLY the written Word of God).

BOTH LETTER AND SPIRIT

Prophets must also staunchly defend the orthodoxy of Scripture (its traditional interpretation), the closed canon of Scripture (the sixty-six books), and the infallibility of Scripture (it's errorless, perfect content). To His prophets, the Bible and only the Bible is the indisputable Word of God, "...forever settled in heaven". The total message of the prophets: teaching, preaching, praying, prophesying, and writing MUST ALWAYS ADHERE TO BOTH THE LETTER AND SPIRIT OF ONLY THE BIBLE. There can be no exceptions!

In addition, His prophets must also possess Christ-like authority to supply the essential building blocks of New Testament truth. That is, they must promote orthodox doctrine (historic Christian belief) as well as current order (church practices and procedures).

BUILT ON THE FOUNDATION OF THE APOSTLES AND PROPHETS

JESUS, BEING THE CHIEF CORNERSTONE

The Bible says, " You, the church, are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ being the Chief Cornerstone." (Eph. 2:20) Today, the ongoing mission of the prophets must be to maintain this foundation and keep the Church in close contact with the Cornerstone!

Equally as important, prophets also stand as GUARDIANS OF OLD TRUTH-they call God's people BACK to what God has already spoken (in His Written Word). They are to build theological and practical stability in others.

According to the Bible the primary purpose of the prophets is:

1. To lay foundations

2. To encourage and strengthen believers

3. To identify, impart, and confirm spiritual gifts, ministries, and callings in

the Church

4. To prophesy

5. To proclaim and preach

6. To warn

7. To highly exalt the Lord Jesus Christ.

8. To suffer

Jesus warned us, " In vain they worship me teaching as (biblical) doctrines the mere commandments of men." (Matt.15:9) This should cause all of us to re-examine our message. Paul too warned the church at Colosse to be on their guard against "...the commandments and doctrines of men."

This is the cry of God to His prophets and to the Church: "Please watch what you preach and teach! Please keep your message Bible based."
