CHILDREN AFLAME! AND THEY DON'T HAVE A "JUNIOR" HOLY SPIRIT! By: Kathie Walters kathiewalters@mindspring.com Tuesday, July 16, 2002 There is about to be released a powerful prayer revival among children all over the world - ------------------------------ CHILDREN AND POWERFUL PRAYER ------------------------------ The Lord is showing me that there is coming a powerful prayer movement among the children around the world. The children, in many places will pray in revival and powerful moves of God. God has always used children powerfully in prayer if they are open to the spiritual realm. I am talking about the place of prayer which is spirit led and not led only by the mind. Unfortunately in many places children are not regarded as having any spiritual significance. The truth is the children do not have a "junior" Holy Spirit , they have the same size Holy Spirit as anyone else. It is only the vessel that is smaller. I want to encourage the children in your home and church to wait of God and pray. --------------------- My daughter’s vision --------------------- During the Gulf war I lived near Charlottesville, Virginia. One evening our secretary, Cathy came to my home with her two children. Chris and Haley. Cathy and I intended to pray and the children were planning on watching a movie. Both sets of children. Mine and Cathy’s suddenly said "Before we watch a movie, we need to pray for the soldiers in the desert." "OK" I agreed. We sat around the coffee table, my kids Faith and Lisa were sitting on the floor. There were a few general prayers said. "Lord, please help the soldiers." Faith began to draw on some paper which was laying on the coffee table. As the prayers proceeded, I noticed that Faith was still drawing. "Faith, what are you doing? We are supposed to be praying." I was irritated - after all it was the kids who had asked to pray in the first place." She’s alright, leave her" Cathy said to me. WE continued to pray and lift up the soldiers in the desert. Faith was still drawing - I got more irritated. "Faith, please we are supposed to be praying." Again Cathy spoke up, "Leave her she’s OK." Then I was a little annoyed with Cathy. "I’ve nearly finished." Faith said. After a minute or two, Faith pushed the drawing in front of her. "Here," she said. --------------- More ammunition --------------- At that moment a prayer group from Gainesville, Florida, called on the telephone. "God told us to call, and there is someone there who has something from the Lord that we should agree with you in prayer for." Faith waved her paper. I put the speaker phone on so that we could all hear the callers and they could hear us. As we all looked at Faith’s drawing, she described it to those on the other end of the phone line. "This is all under the ground, hidden," she said. Now this was before they TV news had mentioned anything about underground bunkers. She described several rooms in this bunker and had drawn what was in each room. In one room she had drawn a missile. "Now this missile, they can’t fire properly - it doesn’t hit the targets." She began to pray that indeed it wouldn’t. ----------------------------- What Faith saw in the Spirit ----------------------------- After describing the underground bunker, she suddenly said. "Wait, I can see something in the spirit." The Florida group was still on the phone, listening. "I see an American plane - it has been hit and it is coming down in the desert, inside the enemy line. I see the pilot, he is coming down in a parachute. There are people near, we must pray for him for a place to hide." The children prayed! After a short while, Faith continued. "Now I see a helicopter looking for him, we must pray for them to find him." the children prayed again. "The helicopter doesn’t have much fuel, we should pray they come on and find him." Faith and the other children prayed again, so did Cathy and I, and the group on the phone. "They found his signal, it’s OK now? Faith looked up. The heavy anointing began to lift. The children went to watch their video, and the Gainesville groups hung up! Cathy and I had a cup of tea. We wondered about the whole thing- pretty wild we thought. But still, what did we know! It was real. This pilot’s testimony was in Readers Digest, in the June issue 1991. His name is Lt. Devon "Boots" Jones. Faith has many such testimonies -don’t discount your children - they can hear from God as well as anyone and they can be yielded to the Spirit. God can use them in a mighty way.
