On January 1 of this year, I saw two angels. The first appeared in front of me and it was very startling. He was dressed as a cowboy and was posed in front of me as though in a tug of war over what I was holding on to. He jerked it once as though to get my attention. It was not a violent jerk, but his appearance and act certainly got my attention.

"THE NAME OF THIS ANGEL WAS "GRACE"

Later I saw the second one and she was a very beautiful and gracious angel, with a great amount of love in her eyes. She was standing between 2 double doors in the meat department of a grocery store. I heard the Lord tell me that He had given me Grace. I understood that the name of this angel was Grace and she was assigned to help me let go of what I was holding on to.

For several months I pondered the appearance of these angels and asked the Lord why they had been sent to me. He answered my prayer and made it quite clear. I had been wrestling with Him over a matter in my life and had been for a long time.

My time had run out, and He was to win this tug of war. My wrestling became painful until I let go. On the opposite side of this, He clearly let me know that His fierce love for me was why His hand suddenly felt heavy. He was concerned about my future, and knew that what I was holding on to would keep me from the full joy of what He had planned for me.

He gave me a Word to Ponder regarding this for the body of Christ. I am starting to see these angels being sent to people so I am releasing this Word to Ponder now. May the Lord be gracious to us all and help us yield to the strong meat of being trained.

LASSOED FOR A PURPOSE 1/1/02

ANGELS DRESSED AS COWBOYS

-------------------------

Beloved ones, for years you have cried for the prodigal children to come home, and cried to Me to shorten their ropes to keep them from running. I have heard your cries. And now angels dressed like cowboys have been sent on assignment. I have commissioned them with anointed lassos to not only bring home the prodigals who have spent their lives in the world, but I have shortened the rope for all of you. There are areas in your own lives where you have run from Me, and I have given you a lot of leeway. Throughout the years you have felt My slight tug of pressure and have not yielded. I have allowed you slack, even in your running, in places where you have striven with Me, run from Me, or dodged issues in which I have knocked upon your doors.

Suddenly without notice, there will come the sudden jerk of a lasso, as a cowboy does in hot pursuit of a wild runaway horse. The faster you run, the stronger you resist, you will find it to be the exact measure in which you feel the sudden and sharp jerk. This does not have to be a tug-of-war between us. Understand, that to the exact degree you wrestle with My will, will be the exact degree you shall feel the jerk. It will not be easy for you to kick against the pricks.

You shall suddenly and quickly reap what you sow. This will help you discern areas where I am getting your attention, because your conduct will be given immediate feedback.

AS YOU HUMBLE YOURSELF ---A LOVING TUG INSTEAD OF A JERK

Remember a willing horse is reigned in by the slight tug at the reins, and finally a slight pressure at his side. As you humble yourselves, listen and comply, you shall feel My loving tug instead of the violent jerk of a lasso.

And as you change your mindsets, your opinions and repent from your running, I will send you a second angel called, Grace. She will give you grace to chew the strong meat in your training process and this will help you understand what I am spotlighting in your lives.

Grace will help bring you into balance in areas where you are out of control. In your humility and willingness to come into alignment with My Word, you shall know My grace in your lives in greater measures than you have ever known. You will feel My loving embrace as a warm hedging, where you shall know your boundaries and feel the great comfort of abiding in such a way that brings pleasure to My heart. As My Word says, "I have hedged you behind and before, and laid My hand upon you."

“You have hedged me behind and before, And laid Your hand upon me. Such knowledge is too wonderful for me; It is high, I cannot attain it. Where can I go from Your Spirit? Or where can I flee from Your presence?� (Ps 139:5-7 NKJV)

“Behold, I will send for many fishers, saith the LORD, and they shall fish them; and after will I send for many hunters, and they shall hunt them from every mountain, and from every hill, and out of the holes of the rocks.� (Jer 16:16 KJV)
