I just received this report within the hour.

While I have never been privilege to attend the Brownsville Assembly of God Church in Pensacola, Florida, the news of great revival there has gone all over the world. Thousands upon thousands have found salvation there.

I find it fascinating that after seven years of revival, it took professional firefighters a whopping seven hours to put the fire out. There is something in the symbolism.

And my guess is, the fire IN THE SPIRIT is just about to get stoked hotter, MUCH HOTTER. Salvations are just getting started! I am convinced that in a way, this is the beginning of a new launch forward for Brownsville, though as is common with the Lord, it will certainly look different than anyone expects.

Please keep Brownsville Assembly of God in your prayers.

Lightning Strike Fire - 4th July

Praise Report concerning the July 4th fire at Brownsville Assembly.

After 7 hours of intense fire fighting by Escambia Co. Fire Department, the amount of damage is considerably low. Early in the evening a lightning storm passed over the church. A direct strike of lighting hit in the balcony stair well and traveled into the electrical components room causing a large fire in the roof.

The fire was discovered early on by Elmer Melton. The firemen worked very hard to prevent extensive water damage. And were able to contain the fire to the small area above the stair case and tape room. Although this fire will be very costly, it could have done so much more damage.

Praise God we have the Family Life Center to meet in for the next few months!!!!!!!!!!

Praise God we were not having services tonight!!!!!!!

Praise God that Elmer was at the right place at the right time!!!!!!!

And Praise God no one was hurt!!!!!!

Please pray that God will move quickly and we will be back to services in the Main Sanctuary as soon as possible. We are not discouraged. Maybe we did need some new carpet and new walls after seven years of revival. And as always, GOD IS IN CONTROL.

Please note that services will continue as normal in the Family Life Center during repairs. Our webcast shall resume normal broadcasting on July 12th.
