I say fascinating because I Was fascinated by this. This afternoon, it began to rain here in Oregon and the Lord began to talk about the rain of his Presence. I hadn't seen this word by Bill Yount yet.

God began to speak that when the rain falls, EVERYTHING gets wet, the good and the evil. And if you don't use your wipers, you won't even be able to see. When the rain comes down hard, if you are sitting still and you are not clearing your vision, the rain will continue to do it's job in your life.

But you will not be able to see what is before you.

So it is with God's Presence --- When HE RAINS, you can't always see-- and in fact, at the very time HE RAINS, your vision may be incapacitated. Don't be discouraged. The rain will still do it's job. Just turn on your WIND SHIELD wipers then you will be able to see enough to move forward. But one way or another, if God is raining on you and you can't see a thing, don't worry about it. When the SON comes out, it will be a whole new day for you!

Recently I was given free tickets to see the Baltimore Orioles vs. the Tampa Bay Devil Rays baseball game in Baltimore, MD. As my son and I were seated it seemed like it was going to be a perfect night at the ball game.

A GREAT FOR GOD'S GLORY TO FALL

--------------------------------

While waiting for the game to start I was eyeing the stadium of about 45,000 fans. The thought came to me. I said, "Lord, this would be a great place for your Glory to fall some day. Of course I wasn't really expecting it right now for I wanted to see the Orioles beat the Devil Rays. Within minutes a fine mist of rain began to fall as the caretakers of the field began running out to cover the infield and its bases. Then like a cloud bursting it poured down delaying the start of the game for an hour. At the end of the fifth inning again the rains came and again the field had to be covered quickly.

By this time it was 10:30 at night and the score was 3 to 2 with the Devil Rays winning. With a long trip home we decided to leave as they announced the game would start up again at about 11:00 pm. Unable to find the game on the radio on the way home, I didn't know who won til the next day.

"THIS IS THE DAY" FOR THE GLORY

I sensed the Lord saying to me that as I was hoping to see His Glory fall "some day" that we fail to consider "this day" that the Lord has made and realize that now is when God wants to do something. It will be an ordinary day like today when He comes. The rain started as such a fine mist that our eyes could not really see it at first. I sensed likewise that His Glory Rain like a fine mist has begun to fall already but many of us cannot see it with our natural eye sight. But this is the moment we must 'cover the bases' and our fields of labor with prayer because the "mist" is in our "midst" and the sudden down pour is about to break loose.

GOD TAKES "FOREVER" TO WORK SUDDENLY

Bob Sorge says, "God will seemingly take forever to do something "suddenly!"

Many this hour are discouraged and tired of waiting for the Lord's Spirit to be poured out for it appears that nothing is happening.

But while we are waiting it is already raining!

And it's His Glory beginning to fall that is actually "interrupting" our seemingly good works and causing "delays" in things that we enjoy doing even in His Kingdom. Listen, when His Glory falls there is not much we can do except watch everything get soaked! As it poured down in that stadium the rain fell on the just and the unjust! People drinking Budweiser and cursing at the delay of the game got wet also! It was pouring out on All Flesh! After awhile many people in spite of their umbrellas got so wet that they put them away and just started enjoying the rain and dancing in it.

THE WINNERS WIN

The next day we heard the Orioles won 5-3. (by someone who wasn't even at the game) The "Devil" Rays did not win after all. And with the rain of the Spirit beginning to fall already in your life and mine it will be utterly impossible for the devil to win or overcome us. "For it's one, two, three strikes you're out - devil!"

At the end of the fifth inning if a game is rained out you will get a "Rain Check" - a free ticket to see another game. But as we hoped for a rain check to see another game (for we were losing) the announcer stated after another delay that seemed to last forever - "this game will continue at 11:00 pm." I believe it's the eleventh hour in the Spirit and on the earth's timetable. We must not quit or lose hope. Any delays of His coming is because it's raining.

"Cover your "fields" with prayer.

Cover the bases including home base (family) with prayer.

It's beginning to rain! The former and latter!

No "Rain Checks" - We win --- soaking wet!
