"I AM ARISING TO AVENGE THE BLOOD OF MY MARTYRS" Rekindling the Fire of the Huguenots

During a recent ministry trip to New England, the Lord spoke to me “I am arising to avenge the blood of My martyrs, the Huguenots, in this land.�

Being a descendent of the Pilgrims, I thought I was familiar with the sacrifices European settlers made to forge God’s dream in the ‘New World.’ But I really had no idea of the Huguenots or any influence they had on our land.

After receiving this word, I did some research. Huguenots came from France to America for the same reason that the Pilgrims came from England—to practice their faith in freedom and to spread the Gospel. In 1614, six years before the Pilgrims came, they established a community on St. John’s River near present-day Jacksonville FL. It is significant that God was intent on establishing covenant communities in the northeast and southeast of what was to become the United States of America.

The Huguenot settlement was wiped out in an attack from Spaniards living in Cuba, who justified their massacre with religious intolerance. “Some of them were hanged,� notes one article, “with the inscription ‘Not as unto Frenchmen, but as unto heretics.’�

God is so gracious! He never forgets a sacrifice, an act of kindness on His behalf. And He hasn’t forgotten the blood of the Huguenots, spilled for the cause of Christ in this land. They were called heretics by man, but the Lord calls them ‘My martyrs!’

--------------- ON PAUL REVERE ---------------

I also remembered that Paul Revere was the son of a Huguenot. Paul’s intolerance for religious intolerance probably propelled him towards Freemasonry, espousing the idea that there are ‘many religions forming one altar.’ Unfortunately Revere probably didn’t connect that this fraternal order was actually empowered by the antichrist, or that other religions on the Masonic list of inclusiveness, such as Islam, do not in reality serve the Lord Jesus Christ.

The Lord showed me that there were many descendents of the Huguenots who inherited the integrity of their forefathers, but who strayed from Christ due to the hypocrisy behind religious persecution. Part of the vengeance God is releasing on behalf of His martyrs is the restoration of His intentions that had never come to fruition in the generations.

-------------------------------------- HOLDING OUT THE BURNING LAMPS-- AGAIN --------------------------------------

Two years ago, Cindy Jacobs shared with me that God was calling forth many ‘spiritual Paul Reveres’ who will be sent from community to community as part of His plan for our land’s awakening. We’ll be holding out burning lamps, and instead of announcing ‘the British are coming,’ this company will be announcing ‘The Lord is coming!’

I began to ponder what the social landscape of New England and the nation would have been like if Paul Revere, this Huguenot descendent, had chosen to be a ‘Son of Awakening’ instead of a ‘Son of Freemasonry.’ For instance, this great revolutionary chartered the King Hiram’s Lodge in Provincetown, the very harbor village in which the Pilgrims wrote the Mayflower Compact and committed our land to Jesus Christ. King Hiram’s Lodge is the oldest social institution in Provincetown, and for more than a hundred years after, the town’s political, economic, educational and religious institutions were dominated by Freemasonry. I don’t know of one current evangelical outreach to Provincetown (which is currently a predominately homosexual and lesbian community.)

----------------------- GRACE FOR PROVINCETOWN -----------------------

What would Provincetown have looked like if Paul Revere had held out the ‘Huguenot Fire’ to Provincetown instead of the false light of Freemasonry? It’s not too late. If we will continue to pray, and as this Huguenot fire is rekindled, perhaps the Lord will release ‘spiritual Paul Reveres’ with burning lamps to overthrow the curse of generational idolatry and awaken this precious village on the tip of Cape Cod. Provincetown’s revival would undoubtedly shake the nation for Christ! “For if the root is holy, so are the branches� (Romans 11:16).

--------------------------- REVOLUTIONARY BREAKTHROUGH ---------------------------

While in New England, the Lord quickened to me the following. “I am recommissioning the purpose of the Huguenots—My First Martyrs—in this land.� It is as though this Third Great Awakening cannot come to fullness without the fire of the Huguenots acknowledged and restored.

In the American Revolution, it was France’s stand with America that brought the war’s final breakthrough and the surrender of the British. In this ‘Spiritual Revolution’ to unlock God’s covenant with our land, I hear the Spirit saying that the full breakthrough is almost at hand. The ‘breaker anointing’ of the Huguenots—this flame of passionate holiness, devotion, courage and service to Christ—is needed to make this breakthrough complete.

Further, God is going to release America’s fire of Awakening to relight the lamp of the Huguenots in France. Now, in the midst of deep darkness, the revelation of Jesus Christ as their Bridegroom will again penetrate the hearts of the French. Whereas Catholics historically persecuted the Huguenots, I felt that the relighting of this Holy fire would eventually draw, bless, and evoke deep gratitude from Spirit-filled Catholics today. It is as though the Lord is marrying the deep well of affection for the Bridegroom carried by many Catholics with the ‘breaker anointing’ of the Huguenots for this end-time move.

--------------- BOUGHT WITH OIL ---------------

Christians in New England and throughout America will be releasing fire, and also exporting oil freely to the land of France. The forces of darkness behind many world religions believe that France’s soul can actually be bought with oil. Funny, so does God. And the Lord says to France, I am about to release the fragrance of My Son to awaken and purify love again in this land of defiled romance. For I put this passion in you, says the Lord, and as in the Book of Acts I am about to release a ‘French Kiss’ with the nearness of My Breath and with holy tongues of flaming fire that will awaken love in the land of My vineyards. And the Lord says to you, France, Kiss the Son that you may live!

-------------------------------------- FRANCE - "JE TE FAIS DEUX GROS BISES" --------------------------------------

Friends in France greet each other with a ‘double kiss’—a peck on both sides of the face. And God says to France, "For those who will respond in love to My invitation I am going to release a double portion of My covenant blessings. Isaiah 61 is on the other side of your call, your invitation, your window of ascension."

------------------ COME DINE WITH ME ------------------

The Lord of covenant offers you Bread and Wine. Even as Melchizedek offered Abraham bread and wine, and released him into his inheritance from God, so I am restoring the Melchizedek priesthood in your midst, and I will release those who receive My covenant meal into their inheritance in the land. This will not only be a Joshua anointing for France, but for Zion.

For the Lord of hosts is mounting a new offensive, and from the mountains and hills a new army is arising in your midst, an army of priests of Christ who will escort My chosen people into the Land, says the Lord.

As to your question, “Who are My People,� the Lord says to get very drunk and then I will tell you. For the soul that is sincere cannot hear my answer without the comfort gained by the blood of My eternal forgiveness and love. Before I committed to you as My Friends, I made my commitment to Israel.

As the Holy Spirit spoke these words, I saw a new move of repentance in France, with a call to ‘rend our hearts and not our garments.’ I felt the Lord was saying, “Now is the time!�

---------------------------- DO NOT GIVE UP ON MY FRIEND ----------------------------

Many American Christians, aware of the continuing persecution of Christians in France, have given up on praying for the land. But God still calls this nation “Friend.�

John 11:11 says that “Lazarus my friend has fallen asleep, but I go, so that I may awaken Him from slumber.� It is interesting to note that the Mayflower Compact, which covenanted our land to Christ, was written and signed on 11/11 of 1620. We are a nation of awakening! And France is a Lazarus nation. Just as Christ’s disciples questioned Jesus because of His desire to risk His life for Lazarus, so His disciples today are questioning Him regarding France. The Lord’s reply to all is “Do not give up on My Friend!�
