PROPHETIC INTERCESSION CONCERNING ISRAEL

Many people have asked me if I thought this conflict with Israel/Palestine is going to end up in Armageddon. The answer is no. However, I do believe that Satan wants this situation to escalate into WWIII. We saw the Hand of God spare us during the Kosovo conflict when these situations usually spiraled out of control. Instead, the ungodly leader is before a war trial tribunal right now. This is the authority that we have to legislate in the heavenlies.

THE EYES OF THE WORLD ON BETHLEHEM

At the moment, the eyes of the world are on the city of Bethlehem with Arab fighters holed up in the church, and Israeli soldiers on the outside. This is indeed a prophetic picture. They have been drawn to the church and it is us who will decide this conflict through our intercession. If we do not pray, this situation will escalate out of control.

Yesterday morning, in my prayer time, I sensed the Lord wanting us to pray Ezekiel 36 over this conflict. Part of battle is over the Golan Heights. As you may know, Syria would like to have them back. However, this would leave Israel very vulnerable to attack (Ez. 36:2-7).

PRAY CONCERNING SYRIA-- WHO IS STOCKPILING WEAPONS

God spoke to me very strongly about Syria in our last meeting with the Apostolic Council of Prophetic Elders (a group of prophets which meets together under the apostolic leadership of Peter Wagner). He told me that we need to be concerned about Syria because they were stockpiling weapons. We later found out from some inside sources that is true.

There are many nations taunting Israel right now but Ezekiel 36:15 promises them that this will turn around.

PRAYER DIRECTIVES CONCERNING THIS SITUATION

Here are some of the things that came out in our prayer meeting at Generals of Intercession yesterday (April 4,2002) concerning Israel and this conflict:

1. Pray that God will raise up a true peacemaker who will have God's anointing to help mediate this conflict.

2. Bind Satan from causing Arafat from becoming a martyr.

3. Pray that God will raise up His choice people from the Palestinian side to help broker peace. We know there are many Palestinian believers are who suffering in this conflict, especially in Bethlehem.

4. Ask God to send angelic visitations to the rabbis across Israel. Pray for the same with the Islamic holy men. Also, ask the Lord to personally visit leaders through visions and dreams.

5. Pray for revival to break out in both Israel and Palestine for this is the ultimate solution.

6. We strongly felt that there should not be a land for peace settlement.

7. Bind the power of an unholy coalition from forming among Arab nations. Pray for this coalition to fall apart.

8. Pray for any counter-attacks against the US from Palestinian suicide bombers from either Hamas or Hezbollah during this time. We strongly felt that Satan would try to create a terrorist diversion through another attack against the America.

9. Pray for President Bush to stand strong in his support for Israel.

10. Bind Satan from starting a third world war over this conflict. Bind the other Arab nations in the Name of Jesus from entering into the conflict.
