If there ever was a time to STAND on behalf of Israel, THIS is that time! Israel is in trouble as much of the world opinion, as HAS BEEN PROPHESIED FOR YEARS--is NOW turning against her. You've heard these prophecies for years. . "Most of the world will once again turn against the Jews ---and many of the very people who have promised themselves saying, "This time I will NOT forget the Jews," Many of those VERY PEOPLE will once AGAIN, because of public and media pressure, turn their backs on the Jewish people! If the media says it loud enough, long enough, and repetitively enough -- they can make Israel look the way the Devil wants Israel to look---as IF the Jewish people are God's enemies---when in fact, they are the "apple of His eye!" Yes, The Jerusalem Prayer Team is a national effort to seek the participation of Americans to encourage the people of Israel, according to their Christian faith and by the example of Corrie ten Boom. How is the effort funded? It is an independent, nonprofit, non-partisan organization. It is funded by concerned members and gains no funding from its link with the Jerusalem Post. What is the goal? The goal of The Jerusalem Prayer Team is to enlist 1 million people in America to pray daily and 100,000 houses of worship praying weekly for the peace of Jerusalem. Did Israel start this effort? No, Israel welcomes this effort, however they did not start it or fund it. The Jerusalem Prayer Team gains no financial support from any government or any agency of the government. Is there a fee for joining? No. There will never be any kind of fee for membership in The Jerusalem Prayer Team. What will you do with my name? Members will receive periodic updates in the mail. Because the Scriptures tell us to in Psalms 122:6. Also, the Great Commission proclaims that we would be a witness unto Him in Jerusalem, Judea and Samaria. Praying for peace and protection for those who are experiencing the same type of terror that was experienced in America on September 11th is a way to be a witness. "When the Lord shall build up Zion, the shall He appear in His glory." He'll be coming back, perhaps we'll be a part of ushering Him in. What ever happened to Corrie Ten Boom? Corrie Ten Boom received many tributes following her imprisonment by the Nazi's after she and her family were charged for protecting nearly 800 Jews. Following the war, Corrie was honored by the Queen of Holland as a War Hero. In 1968, the Holocaust Museum in Jerusalem asked Corrie to plant a tree in the Garden of Righteousness, in honor of the many Jewish lives her family saved. Corrie’s tree stands there today. In the early 1970’s, Corrie’s book THE HIDING PLACE became a best seller, and Billy Graham and World Wide Pictures released the major motion picture "The Hiding Place". Corrie went on to write many other inspiring books. There are five evangelical videos about Corrie. Corrie was a woman faithful to God.
