NOTE REGARDING LETTING GO OF YOUR GRIP -- By Steve Shultz

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I wanted every ELIJAH LIST reader to see this. If you missed the article I wrote and released last night about taking your hand off the wheel of your life, you can find it at:
http://injesus.com/ViewMessage.cfm?MessageId=GB0068V2&GroupID=0B001BSP
But more important than that article, is the TRUE meaning of the Scripture, "BE STILL AND KNOW THAT I AM GOD."
Do your friends a favor and forward this to them. They will thank you for it.
Dear Steve,
Thank you for the good word from the Lord about letting go of the wheel of our lives at the time of the "bumps" and trouble.
[If you missed this article, you can find it at: http://injesus.com/ViewMessage.cfm?MessageId=GB0068V2&GroupID=0B001BSP ]
I teach Old Testament and Biblical Languages for Wagner Leadership Institute and Jack Hayford's The King's Seminary, and I wanted to confirm that this same word is also found in the Hebrew of Psalm 46, a psalm about God being our help in trouble, when the everything around us is falling apart (Psalm 46:1-3).
Though Psalm 46:10 is traditionally translated "BE STILL AND KNOW THAT I AM GOD" the Hebrew literally says "LET GO OF YOUR GRIP (Heb. harfu from the root rafah meaning "to relax, let go of") AND RECOGNIZE THAT I AM GOD."
The same verb is used in the phrase "to withdraw (the hand)" in 2 Sam 24:16 and other OT passages.
Thanks again & God bless you all at the Elijah List,
