The Father Staked His Claim On You at the Cross!

There is no greater love than that of our Father's heart for His own children. Once we understand that and accept God as our Abba Father, then we will begin to understand the Kingdom of God really is at our hands. The Father Staked His Claim On You With Jesus Christ at the Cross of Calvary!
But when the Pharisees had heard that He had put the Sadducees to silence, they were gathered together. Then one of them, which was a lawyer, asked Him a question, tempting Him, and saying, "Master, which is the great commandment in the law?" Jesus said unto him, "Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets." Matthew 22:34-40 (KJV)
The Two Greatest Commandments!
Jesus clearly declared that on these two commandments "hang" all the Law and the Prophets. Why? Because these "two greatest commandments" were never written or meant for you and me to fulfill, but for Jesus to fulfill...on His Cross.
And fulfill them...did He ever! Think of the vertical beam to which Jesus was crucified as representing the outpouring of all His love for the Father; and the horizontal beam signifying the outpouring of all His love for you and me, His neighbors. Jesus Christ brought these "two greatest commandments" together in Himself, and to total fruition upon His Cross.
Jesus was the Word, the Law and the Prophets made flesh; therefore, all "the Law and the Prophets," literally, did hang upon His Cross...the ultimate intersection-convergence of these two greatest commandments. When Jesus decreed, "It is finished," He perfected them both (both of these two greatest commandments) in one fell swoop!
Jesus Christ Himself learned obedience and was perfected through the things He suffered. Hence, it has never been about our love for Him, but about His love for us... "Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us, and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins" (1 John 4:10).
The specific love that the Law and the Prophets required, in order to be fulfilled, was the very love that God provided in the Lamb, the Son that God sent. Thus, receiving Jesus Christ in our hearts by simple, child-like belief is to receive Perfect Love...even, Perfected Love!
The Lord your God is in the midst of you, a Mighty One, a Savior [Who saves]! He will rejoice over you with joy; He will rest [in silent satisfaction] and in His love He will be silent and make no mention [of past sins, or even recall them]; He will exult over you with singing. Zephaniah 3:17 (AMP)
It Is Finished! All We Need Was Given at the Cross!
Jesus' Cross is the place where our Heavenly Father has already passed into a peaceful state of complete rest in His eternal love for us – even over us. Jesus' Cross has more than fully satisfied and pacified the fury of God's wrath toward sin and the sinner.
In spirit and in truth, the Father presently views every person as being dead to sin in Christ.
Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus the Author and Finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before Him endured the Cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God. For consider Him that endured such contradiction of sinners against Himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds. Ye have not yet resisted unto blood, striving against sin... Looking diligently lest any man fail of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and thereby many be defiled; lest there be any fornicator, or profane person, as Esau, who for one morsel of meat sold his birthright. Hebrews 12:1-4, 15-16 (KJV)
Through the Blood of Jesus' Cross, the Father has now rendered the verdict of His righteous judgment toward us, "I love you forever and ever, no matter what." Likewise, our soul will find its place of true rest only in the broken body and death of Jesus Christ upon the Cross. Simple, child-like belief in Jesus enables this to occur, without any labor intensity of our own self-effort. It is high time for us to take the oversight and become overseers of the message of Jesus' Cross to the whole world. Jesus' Cross is the Gospel, both the power of God and the wisdom of God.
In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent His only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through Him. Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us, and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins. 1 John 4:9-10 (KJV)
My friends, once you accept the completed work of the Father through Jesus Christ's obedience of dying on the Cross of Calvary, you too will begin to live the completed life the Father intended as you grow in the love of the Father and all His people! These two commandments of love indeed uphold all the fulfilled law and the voice of His prophets! Yes, when we truly know Abba Father's heart, then we can indeed impart that genuine love to others.
