This is a great time to REVIEW so you know how to PURSUE for a personal and corporate BREAKTHROUGH in 2002! ------- REVIEW ------- Before we enter into the new, its always good to look at what God has brought you through in the last time frame of your life. In Isaiah 43, the prophet begins to prophesy of God's redemptive plan for His people. In verse 16, he begins to remind the people of Israel how God brought them out of Egypt. It is always good for you to write down the two or three key things the Lord did in your life in the past season. It's also good to write down any promises that you know He is still working on to bring to complete fulfillment in your life. Then, after the review, ask Him what's NEW! ----------------------- DON'T PUT GOD IN A BOX ----------------------- The prophet then tells the people, "Don't remember the former things!" In other words, don't put God in a box. The way He's moved on your life in the past must not be the only expectation you have for Him to move in the future. ------- PURSUE ------- Once you get focused over what needs to be completed and what God wants to do fresh and new, PURSUE! When it was time for God's people to move into their inherited promise, we find in Joshua 3:3 the Lord saying: "When you see the ark of the covenant of the Lord your God, and the priests, the Levites, bearing it, then you shall set out from your place and go after it." The Lord is going to move differently with us. We haven't been the way we are now headed. Therefore, we must come to know His presence. We must pursue His presence. It is His presence that will lead us into the new. ------------------------------------------------- BREAKTHROUGH -- "A MORE VIOLENT, TORRENTIAL SOUND THIS YEAR" ------------------------------------------------- The pursuit of God leads to a breaking out of an old thing and breaking through into the revelation that He has for us. 2 Samuel 4 talks about the Master of Breakthrough. Micah 2:12, 13 declares the Lord as The Breaker. Listen to the sounds of the waters of the river. They will take a more violent, torrential sound this year. The river of refreshing is turning into a river of cleansing power. It is this river that will break you into the new that God has for you this year. ----------------------- AWAKENED BY THESE WORDS ----------------------- I awakened on Dec. 22, and heard these words: "I will be with you in 2002!" He is EMMANUEL, God With Us! This seemed to be a fresh word. We know things about the Lord, but when God quickens revelation to us, it seems as new. I began to read Isaiah 7. A coalition had been formed to make war against Judah. Syria and a faction in Israel had aligned itself to force Judah into a direction that was not God's will. The Lord sent Isaiah and his son, Shear-Jashub (meaning "a Remnant Shall Return") to prophesy to the king. This son's name was a sign that even though judgment would reign-- there would always be a remnant. Isaiah then began to prophesy that the Lord Himself would give a sign to Ahaz: "Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and shall call his name Emmanuel." What God was saying was this: the sign would be an assurance that in the midst of adversity there would always be hope. --------------------------------------------- IN THE COMING YEAR, A KEY FOR US TO REMEMBER --------------------------------------------- I believe it is key for us to remember that He is with us at all times in the coming year. Isaiah 41:10-13 says, "Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand ... those who war against you shall be as nothing ... Fear not, I will help you!" ------------------- 12 POINTS FOR 2002 ------------------- Here are twelve points for the coming year. I will elaborate on these as the year goes on: --------------------------------- A BULL RIDE-- A YEAR OF VIOLENCE --------------------------------- 1. The Lord said to me, "Get ready for the ride." Then He showed me a BULL. He said, "This year will be like a bull ride." Bull riding is one of the most violent sports. This will be a year of violence. This will be a year of intense learning. This will be a year of falling and getting back up. This will be a year to overcome fear. This will be a year to learn a different way of prospering financially. 2. This is a year the WATCHMAN ANOINTING is key. You must know whom you are watching after and connected with, and you must know who is watching after you. Get your assignment quickly. ---------------------------------------------- A BEGINNING OF WARS--FOR THE NEXT SEVEN YEARS ----------------------------------------------- 3. This year is the BEGINNING OF WARS for the next seven years. I believe the new year starts in Rosh Hashanah. So in September we began the next seven-year season, which is a season of war. We can be victorious and complete this season with our future secured in the Body of Christ. This next seven years of training and confrontation will cause God's remnant people to do exploits. ------------------------------------- WE MUST NOT MISS OUR SIGNS THIS YEAR ------------------------------------- 4. This is a year in which we must understand SIGNS. Signs are pointers that identify and uncover the godliness and redemptive plan of God that is in the world. We must not miss our signs this year! We must not be afraid of the supernatural, and begin to enter into that dimension that will get us to our new "there". This will begin individually and work into a corporate demonstration. -------------------------------------------- A YEAR TO INTERPRET SUPERNATURAL REVELATION -------------------------------------------- 5. This is a year that we will begin to INTERPRET SUPERNATURAL REVELATION. We must ask God for the gift of interpretation. The Lord will be releasing a new revelation in the earth realm so we understand times and seasons. Dreams will become very significant. There will be a revival of words of knowledge. Words of wisdom will begin to give us clear directive strategy for the words of knowledge being received. These two gifts will balance each other this year. For understanding, read Daniel 6-11. --------------------------------------------------------- DISSATISFIED WITH TRADITIONALISM--SHIFTING IN THE CHURCH IMPORTANT: Those who are critical, judgmental, negative, condemning will wander and will not find their place in this season -- UNLESS THEY REALIGN THEMSELVES --------------------------------------------------------- 6. There will be MUCH SHIFTING in the CHURCH this year. Many will begin to become dissatisfied with traditionalism and will seek God's supernatural power. Therefore, God will shift many into new places. On the other hand, there are many in the Body of Christ who are critical, judgmental, negative, and condemning. Unless they are delivered, they will wander in this next season and not be able to find their place. If we will pray Isaiah 58 and let God lead each one of us into the type of fast that He has for each one of us, we will be delivered and positioned properly for the future. REALIGN THYSELF! --------------------- A YEAR TO END CURSES --------------------- 7. This is a year that God shows us how to END CURSES. There are certain curses that the Lord is ready to bring to an end in the land. Joel 2 is very important. This is a year to transfer evil into blessing. Do not be afraid to face the curse that has hindered your progress. Decode the occult structure linked with the curse. Evaluate its destruction, and begin the rebuilding cycle for your future. ------------------------------------------------------ NEW PATHS THIS YEAR -- A FACING THE ANTI-CHRIST SYSTEM ------------------------------------------------------ 8. This is a year of TREADING. There are new paths to be made this year. As we walk and advance this year, that which does not seem to be in place will begin to become a path of light. We will also go to places we have not been before. The Lord will also begin to penetrate ungodly nations to bring His glory to places that have never experienced Him. This will be a year of pioneering into new places after judgment and wrath have occurred. This is the year that we begin to face the anti-Christ system that will be a hindrance to God's Kingdom advancing in the earth realm. Fear not, and tread forth! --------------------------------------------------- YEAR OF THRESHING--A NEW SOUND COMING TO THE EARTH -------------------------------------------------- 9. This will be a year of THRESHING. "To thresh" is used figuratively in the Bible to relate to providential chastisement, crushing oppression, judicial visitation, and the labors of ministers. Grain, wine, and oil were all related to threshing, and were products of the soil. Key threshing floors in our areas must be uncovered this year. There is a new sound that is coming to the earth linked with threshing. ------------------------------------------- CORPORATE WORSHIP TRANSFORMING OUR REGIONS ------------------------------------------- 10. This is a year of a DIFFERENT TYPE of WORSHIP than we've ever known. The Tabernacle of David is being established. Individual worship will turn into corporate worship. Corporate worship is a key to the transformation of our regions. ---------------- THE LIONS' ROAR ---------------- 11. This is a year where the ROAR of the LION becomes very distinguishable. The enemy will roar loudly, but the Lion of Judah will roar louder. We must learn the Lion of Judah's sound. It is in us, and it must be drawn out of us. --------------------------- A YEAR TO EXPOSE CRIMINALS --------------------------- 12. This is a year to FERRET OUT CRIMINALS. Psalm 101 is a key chapter. Pray this for your region, and that every evil thing will be exposed. TRULY, "THE BEST IS YET AHEAD" -- FINAL NOTE FROM CHUCK PIERCE My latest book with Becky was released in late December.
