May you all know the rich bounty of the Lord in the new year! I have just spent the last month in prayer seeking the face of the Lord and I am very excited about 2002! Good things are in store for the people of God -- for you and your house!!!! Let's press on together into the fullness of our onward and upward call in Christ.

Prophetic Insights for 2002

The following are some insights that the Holy Spirit quickened to me while seeking His face this past month. May they encourage you.

A PERSONAL CALL

================

1. A call to be personally and intimately acquainted with the Holy Spirit.

Many in the Body of Christ are going to be moved upon in their hearts to draw close to the Person of the Holy Spirit in 2002. Jesus said that the Holy Spirit is our Helper, our Teacher, the One who strengthens and He will lead and guide us into all truth. The Holy Spirit is going to reveal Himself to those who desire to commune with Him and who will posture themselves to wait on Him and in turn obey His instruction. He is going to grant numerous visitations of His presence in the year 2002.

2 Corinthians 13:14 will be a key verse for many: "The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all."

MANIFESTATIONS TO INCREASE

===========================

2. Increased manifestations of the glory in 2002.

"When the enemy shall come in (like a flood) the Spirit of the Lord will raise up a standard against him". Isa 59:19

"Who is the King of glory? The Lord strong and mighty, the Lord mighty in battle." Ps 24:8

Many believers will witness the glory of the Lord raise up a standard against the enemy's schemes.

Increased manifestations of the glory will be evidenced in public gatherings where the Word is being preached and where the Holy Spirit is given pre-eminence.

Prayer meetings will be visited by the weighty, felt presence of the Lord and there will be times when entire groups of believers in prayer meetings and church gatherings will not be able to speak or stand because of the great weight of the glory of God.

Individuals will also be visited by glory and at times dreams will be visited by the presence of the Lord.

SETTING ASIDE TIME FOR THE LORD

================================

3. Many believers will be called in the year 2002 to set times (sometimes entire days and weeks) for seeking the Lord's face. They will feel strongly compelled to set aside other agendas and responsibilities in order to fulfill this mandate. The Lord is looking for those who will respond to the invitation of the Spirit to enter "the tent of meeting". This will result in an increase of the manifestation of the glory of the Lord in their lives and ministries. There will be those who will not actually sense the presence of the Lord during their times of prayer and seeking Him and they will need to persevere in faith, but in the months following they will see the fruit. New heart commitments to meeting with the Lord in the "secret place" will be made.

ANGELS

4. Angelic visitations will be more numerous in 2002.

STANDING ON THE PROMISES

=========================

5. The Lord is asking His people to resist fear and unbelief in 2002. Believers must bind themselves to and stand on the covenant promises found in the Word of God during this year. There will be events and situations that could cause hearts to fear, but believers are to hide in the shadow of the Almighty. Fear and unbelief MUST be resisted and believers must look for the salvation of their God. The promises of God are YES and AMEN in 2002.

MINISTRY TO ISLAMIC NATIONS AND MARTYRDOM

=========================================

6. There will be an increased number of ministries who will be called on to pray for and minister to Islamic nations and peoples. The Lord is going to burden the people of God with a call to pray for souls that are bound by Islamic deception. The spirit behind Islam is going to raise it's head against the gospel in unprecedented ways, but the Lord has victory and harvest on His agenda. The revelation of martyrdom will become more evident in the Body of Christ in 2002.

HOLY INDIGNATION AGAINST INJUSTICE

==================================

7. The emphasis of justice and mercy will be surfacing in the Body in 2002. The Holy Spirit will place burden and vision in believer's hearts to reach out to those who cannot help themselves. There will be confrontations of exploitation by the Spirit of Righteousness in 2002. Holy indignation will compel many to take stands against injustice.

THE CHILDREN

8. Much prayer for children will be called for in 2002. The Holy Spirit desires to visit the hearts of children with His presence, love and conviction. He desires to bring powerful revelations of Jesus Christ and His Kingdom to them. He desires to reveal the realms of heavenly glory to them. This must be taken up in intercession. Children will become forerunners in the advancement of the Kingdom. They will be anointed with fresh oil as prophetic, priests, and kings.

SACRIFICIAL SUPPORT FOR ISRAEL

===============================

9. Prayer for Israel will increase in 2002 and many believers will be called to support Israel in sacrificial ways. These ones will be mightily blessed. Strategic political decisions regarding Israel will be on the table of many nations. Important choices will be called for.

FULL STADIUMS AND ONE-ON-ONE EVANGELISM

========================================

10. Mass evangelism will increase as the power and manifested glory increases. Some ministries will report that "there wasn't a stadium large enough to hold the masses of those seeking Jesus. The doors had to be shut." One-on-one, friendship and servant evangelism will also increase in 2002.

AUTHORITY OF BELIEVERS

11. Fresh revelation of the believer's authority in Christ will be granted in 2002.

TO THE KINGS OF THE EARTH

==========================

12. Prophetic authority will increase and there will be the birthing and forming of ambassadorial teams by the Spirit who will bring the word of the Lord to the kings of the earth. (#12 came initially through the inspiration of Peter Gardner, Wales, who received this word a number of years ago. The Holy Spirit spoke to him in August 2001 that the birthing of this would begin in 2002. In my time of prayer, the Holy Spirit gave me strong confirmation concerning the development of this in 2002.)

There will be many whom the Spirit has been preparing for years in the backside of the wilderness who will be brought out of obscurity and into a place of visibility for this hour of service.

WAR ROOM Prayer Directives for January

=======================================

God's order is often to prophesy His will first-- and then follow it with intercession for the birthing of the prophetic word.

"Surely the Lord God does nothing, unless He reveals His secret counsel to His servants the prophets." Amos 3:7

We see in scripture many examples of the birthing of prophetic insights though intercession. One vivid example is that of Anna the prophetess. She was prophetically aware of the "redemption of Israel -- the birth of Jesus", and yet she "locked in" to a long term commitment of birthing that vision until the manifestation came.

Another example is that of Jesus in Acts 1:4,5. He prophesied that they would be baptized with the Holy Spirit. Then in v.14, you see the disciples responding through continuous prayer until the manifestation came on the day of Pentecost (Acts 2).

Our prayer directives for this month include "praying through" the prophetic directives above.

May you be richly rewarded through your offering of prayer and intercession. Your faith is very precious to HIM!!!!
