Dear Vigilant Watchmen:

If you will remember, the last prayer alert I sent out included a prophecy concerning 40 days of worship. A portion of this prophecy is as follows:

“A confrontation is mounting in the heavens. Begin to prepare a sacrifice of worship to Me that will overcome the enemy’s plan. From your worship I am beginning to mount up a sacrifice of life that can overcome death. A confrontation is on its way. I would have you stand before Me the next 40 days. Stand and declare My name. For the enemy is preparing a sacrifice of worship. The enemy is beginning to mount up with tactics of destruction. Draw near to Me for I hold the keys to death, hell, and the grave. An ambush has been planned against this nation. This ambush has been hidden from you. If you will draw near and worship Me, the ambush will now dissipate and its leader will now fall. Rise up and keep coming to Me. I will be ruler over all.�

“Ramadan releases religious zeal among Muslims of all ages. Adults take this opportunity to double their rewards from God. This event is intended to bring a closeness of community with their creator. Muslims follow the laws of Islam. The word Islam means submission to God. The revelation of Islam was given to 'Mohammed, the praised one.' The last ten days of Ramadan are considered highly blessed, especially the 27th night which is called the Night of Power or Destiny. This is a very empowering time for those of Islamic faith.�

THAT SPECIFIC TIME FRAME -TO WATCH, FAST AND PRAY

6 PM DECEMBER 11 THROUGH THE 14TH

That time frame is specifically important for us to understand during the three days beginning at 6 PM on December 11 through the 14th. Since the release of that word and our beginning to pray, the following terror alert has been released by our government. This terror alert is linked to nuclear fear. On December 4, our government released the following general terror alert. This related to intelligence information indicating that the former Saudi terrorist Osama bin Laden has gained possession of a so-called dirty or radiological bomb. THE TARGET DATE referred to in electronic intercepts is mid-December.

It has also been suggested that such weapons may have been smuggled into the United States. Intelligence chiefs fear that al-Qaeda may use a KEY DATE IN THE MUSLIM CALENDAR as a pretext to launch new terror strikes next week.

The 27th day of Ramadan, the Muslim holy month, is the day on which the Koran was completed and given to the Prophet Muhammad. It is a particularly auspicious day when those who die could expect to receive extended forgiveness. IT FALLS ON DECEMBER 12 and is believed to be one of the reasons why the White House has again issued a warning of fresh attacks. Tom Ridge, Mr. Bush’s chief of Homeland Security, spoke of credible new evidence and said that Americans should be alert during the closing days of Ramadan and through Christmas. One well-placed source said: “If you’re looking at dates for possible attacks, the 27th day of Ramadan stands out.�

HANUKKAH

However, this time frame is also a part of Hanukkah. There are several issues of Hanukkah that we need to understand. This was a New Testament feast celebrated by Jesus. The only Biblical reference to this feast is in John 10. Jesus raised Lazarus from the dead after this feast. Hanukkah begins tonight, December 9, at 6 PM and goes through December 17. The following five points are key prayer focuses to understand during Hanukkah.

1. Hanukkah is a time for standing against the enemy in the power of God. Pray for our nation and our national leaders in this time of war.

2. Hanukkah is a time for cleansing the temple and restoring the presence of God. Pray for the Church in America to be restored to New Testament purity and power.

3. Hanukkah is a time to keep the fires of prayer and praise continually burning. Find your place of prayer and praise during this eight days.

4. Hanukkah is a time to see the miraculous provision of God released. Pray for financial breakthrough and abundant provision for God’s people.

5. The eight days of Hanukkah bring us through an old cycle to a new beginning. Pray that God would move us out of old bondages and mindsets into a new season in His Spirit!

WATCHING THROUGHOUT HANUKKAH AND CHRISTMAS

THE REVELATION FROM THE BOOK OF ESTHER "IS VERY IMPORTANT FOR RIGHT NOW" -- Chuck Pierce

Even though we are in a time to celebrate Christmas, we must stay alert because of the plans the enemy has devised against us as God’s covenant people. I have been reading the book of Esther over the past several days. I believe the revelation that is in this book is very important for right now. This book was written during a time of celebration. However, the enemy had devised a major plan during that time. There is not another book like Esther that better represents what we are living through.

I believe this book will be important for us through the end of February. I love the spiritual maturity that I see displayed in this book. Both Mordecai and Esther understood God’s plan and then waited for the perfect moment to display that will of God to overthrow the enemy.

Read this book several times over the next few months. Some of the themes I find in this book are the following:

1. Spiritual Urgency

2. Sovereign Timing (FOR SUCH A TIME AS THIS)

3. Submission to Authority

4. Intercessory Identification

5. Celebration in the Midst of Adversity

6. Teamwork and Unity

7. Destruction vs. Survival

8. Deliverance and Overthrow of the Enemy’s Decree

9. Persecution, returning on the heads of those who initiate it

10. Justice and Faithfulness

11. Open Theology, the Lord sends help to those who understand His times and act obediently

12. Spiritual Discipline through Fasting and Preparation

WHAT WILL HAPPEN IF WE FAST FOR THREE DAYS IN THE ABOVE TIME FRAME

Prayer is never mentioned in the book. But you find there is great spiritual discipline through fasting. From fasting a confidence, courage, and favor came upon Esther. This produced a public exposure of the enemy. The enemy was then overthrown by his own devices.

I believe if we will find three days of fasting in the above time frame, we will see some real results occur in our nation.

PRAY FOR OUR CIVIL LEADERS

President Bush has condemned Palestinian violence more strongly and clearly than any world leader, in terms that invite close parallels between the anti-al Qaeda-Taliban front of America’s war on terror and Israel’s campaign against the Palestinian brand.

The US Congress has voiced strong support for Israel. The House of Representatives, due to be followed by the Senate, has urged President George W. Bush to suspend relations with the Palestinian Authority if PA Chairman Yasser Arafat does not take action immediately to destroy the infrastructure of terrorist groups, pursue and arrest terrorists, and then either prosecute those terrorists or hand them over to Israel.

Senators Joseph Biden (D-Delaware) and Jesse Helms (R-North Carolina), and Representatives Henry Hyde (R-Illinois) and Tom Lantos (D-California) were the principal sponsors of the respective Senate and House concurrent resolutions introduced yesterday and Tuesday.

On December 6 the House version passed overwhelmingly 384-11. The resolutions, "expressing solidarity with Israel in the fight against terrorism," condemn the "vicious terrorist murders" of 26 Israelis in 14 hours on December 1-2, and express "outrage at the ongoing Palestinian terrorist campaign."
