And They Gave Themselves . . .

Acts 2: 42 "And they were continually devoting themselves to the apostles' teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer."

Ephesians 6:18, 19 "With all prayer and petition pray at all times in the Spirit, and with this in view, be on the alert with all perseverance and petition for all the saints, and pray on my behalf that utterance may be given to me in the opening of my mouth, to make known with boldness the mystery of the gospel."

REVELATORY TEACHING - A New Level of Authority

As Apostolic Ministry is re-emerging in our day, so are fresh understandings concerning Apostolic Intercession. But what does this expression of intercession look like?

Here are 5 points for you to consider.

1) Prayers of the Apostles Recorded in Scripture

All that we do must be centered in the heart scriptures. Therefore, we must have a working knowledge of the Prayers of the Apostles. To the degree this foundation is properly laid will determine the effectiveness and wisdom parameters that authentic apostolic intercession will be able to be released today. Let's lay the foundation correctly.

2) A Parallel Movement

As revelatory prayer emerged forth parallel to the contemporary prophetic movement, so apostolic prayers will arise to under gird and the new Apostolic Reformation. One acts as a safety net for the other and a security guard to keep things moving in the right direction!

3) It Includes the Taking of New Ground

Apostolic Intercession includes pioneer missions. These prayer warriors may move under a "Breaker Anointing" (Michal 2:13) to open effective doors for the preaching of the Gospel (Ephesians 6: 18-20). Today, this encompasses such events as the 10/40 and 40/70 Prayer Windows, Lighthouses of Prayer and other efforts that result in Prayer Evangelism.

4) Prayer to Bring Order

Apostolic Intercession calls forth fresh order for the church in a city or region. It calls for the watchmen on the walls and the gatekeepers of the city to walk together. This form of prayer may carry a "governmental weight". But the necessity of purity of motive is a must!

5) It is a Matter of the Heart

While the scaffolding of praying the recorded prayers of the apostles is our foundation ---- it in itself is just the beginning. In Apostolic Intercession-- you are given an assignment or sphere you are to influence... You weep over your city like Jesus did over Jerusalem.

It is an issue of the heart!

PROPHETIC PROSPECTIVE - News Levels to Confront New Devils

Many have said for the last decade, "New levels; new devils." But I am here to proclaim, "New levels TO CONFRONT new devils." The Psalmist said, "When the enemy comes in like a flood, the Lord lifts up His standard against him."

In recent weeks we have seen a new levels of demonic attack come against the U.S., the church and Israel. Militant Islam has been raising it's ugly head fueled by the spirits of antichrist and anti-Semitism. But when the devil comes knocking at the door - just send Jesus to answer! The devil will end up wishing these days had never occurred as fresh new levels of crisis intervention and authoritative intercession are released to confront these strongholds of darkness.

SIGNS AND WONDERS FOR IRAN AND IRAQ

I have been proclaiming everywhere I go, "The Islamic veil shall be pierced and a move of signs and wonders will hit northern Iraq and Iran and thousands shall be released from the grip of the enemy. We must seize the moment and release a compassionate army of relief workers in this window of opportunity." Yes, it's new levels of brokenness, compassion, revelation and authority to confront new levels of demonic darkness in Christ Great Name.

TARGET PRACTICE - Points for Prayer

1) Begin praying the Prayers of the apostles as found in the Epistles over your city.

2) Call forth a parallel movement of apostolic intercession to under gird the apostolic reformation taking place around the global body of Christ.

3) Join in on the 40/70 Prayer Window Thrust. (See my web site for more information of this new prayer venture.)

4) Call forth God's order to be established in your region. Pray that Watchmen on the Walls and Gatekeepers of the city will walk together.

5) Pray that God gives to you His heart for unity and power for His one church in your city.

THE GRATEFUL PRAYER OF THE HEART

Oh Lord, our awesome God, how wonderful you are!

I thank you for the assignment you have given to me to labor over the city and region in which I dwell. Give to me Your heart for this city. Let my heart beat with the sounds of heaven for this land.

Raise up a mighty apostolic reformation that will surpass any previous move of God my region has ever seen. Raise up your prophets and apostles in the church in my city.

Restore day and night prayer and release Your mighty dread champions once again.

For Jesus Christ sake we pray!
