Chad Taylor: "Rick Joyner, Washington, Whitefield, Hiawatha and The Constitution of the United States"

Steve ShultzFrom the desk of Steve Shultz:

As Chad Taylor prophesies in this article:

This is a "now" word for a time in which we are also facing some of the most implacable attacks on our Constitution and a concerted effort to erode the very foundation of this nation. A time of unprecedented assault on everything Godly and good in the world. As the prophet warned in Isaiah 5:20, "Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness, who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter!"

It is time to take this nation into relentless prayer and to pray fervently that the intentions God had (from the beginning) and still has for the United States of America – will come forth.

Never in my lifetime have I seen such an attack on the Constitution and calling "that which is good evil..."

This NOW WORD is to cause us to band together and pray for the Will of God in Heaven to be manifested ON EARTH NOW, in THESE UNITED STATES! (To Subscribe to the Elijah List go here.)

A Vision of the West Lawn

The vision was vivid and iridescent. The entire landscape was like a silent movie, in full color but without sound. I had an aerial view of Washington DC which abruptly focused in on the White House. As the vision centered in on the scene below, I saw Rick Joyner on the West Lawn walking toward the veranda. He went straight up to a side door, intent on something inside and then entered the White House. What seemed like only a minute or two, Rick Joyner emerged from the same door and went across the West Lawn with a document rolled up tightly under one arm. (Photo of Rick Joyner)

As he cut across the grass, the vision focused out, wide like a camera lens, and I noticed what had been a press conference with rows of seats, a podium and a small rectangular table. Rick went straightaway to the table and carefully unfolded the document turning it this way and that way. Then all at once he was joined by three other men who approached from different directions equally intent on what was displayed on the table. I saw every detail, the clothes they wore, the expressions on their faces and the urgency that seemed to exude with every movement. They were clearly men on a mission and the object on the table held their absolute attention.

The Revolutionary and the Revivalist

By their colonial period attire, and intuitively from the Holy Spirit, I knew precisely who two of the three figures were: George Washington and George Whitefield. Two of the nation's "firsts." The first President of the newly formed United States Republic and the first harbinger of the Great Awakening. Two giants on the backdrop of the American experience that had dramatically helped shape the very soul of this nation, now stood with Rick Joyner on the White House lawn. A Scripture sprang into to my heart as I watched this scene unfold, "Righteousness exalts a nation: but sin is a reproach to any people." (Proverbs 14:34)

George Washington was only eight years old in 1740, when Whitefield crisscrossed the colonies with a revival message that shook the young Americana to its very core. The correlations drawn between the two, Whitefield and the forming of the Constitution, are crystal clear in history. Whitefield would have a profound impact on the drafters through none other than Benjamin Franklin himself, who had previously attended Whitefield's Philadelphia, PA. revival meetings. They forged a lifelong friendship.

Franklin, who was once an ardent skeptic of the extraordinary claims of the awakening in England, estimated that while Whitefield preached here in the colonies, over 30,000 could hear Whitefield's voice in the open air. Many years later at the Constitutional Convention, Franklin stated, "Not a single sparrow falls to the ground without God's notice; how then could the Constitution convention hope to succeed without God's careful oversight?"(Photo via Wikipedia)

George Washington epitomized the revolutionary spirit that decried imperialism and fought fiercely for independence. The Revolutionary and Revivalist, two spiritual stalwarts, stood side-by-side Rick Joyner, decisively looking down at the document laid out before them. They were like captains of a great seafaring vessel scrutinizing over nautical maps and intent on fathoming what they saw. Each of them moved the document expeditiously back and forth, this way and that, as if a great discovery was forthcoming. I then saw with sudden lucidity, the nature of the thing they all were so indubitably laboring over. I saw it in one fell swoop: the Constitution of the United States.

Hiawatha and the Great Peacemaker

The fourth man remained a mystery to me for many days following this vision. Then unexpectedly I heard the name, "Hiawatha." Without any foreknowledge of this notable person in history nor the Iroquois people and how definitive their role would be in the future of this nation, what I discovered next was simply staggering. It became remarkably clear why this Native American man, in early eastern Native garb, was with Rick Joyner, George Washington and George Whitefield scrutinizing over the Constitution of the United States.

Many historians argue when the approximate date was that Hiawatha and the Huron prophet Deganawida received a series of visions that would later inspire the Iroquois Confederacy. Many archaeologists argue the date of these monumental events to be 1142, but others say 1451. Nonetheless these little known events would have a profound impact on a fledgling republic over 300 years later. Historians would call this drafted Iroquois Constitution, "The oldest living participatory democracy on earth..."

With striking similarities to Moses and Aaron, the prophet Deganawida had a severe speech impediment and Hiawatha was a well-known orator and leader. He received a number of divine inspirations in what would become the Iroquois Confederacy, or "The Great League of Peace," which consequently, centuries later, would be lauded by the United States Senate at the 200th anniversary of the Constitution, May 23rd, 1987. It was comprised of 6 different nations and tribes (click here).

Their constitution was divided into 117 articles. The United Iroquois Nation is also symbolized by an eastern white pine tree, called the Tree of Peace. Each nation or tribe plays a delineated role in the conduct of government. Sound familiar? "The tribes gathered at Onondaga Lake, where they planted a Tree of Peace and proclaimed the Great Binding Law of the Iroquois Confederacy" (source: Wikipedia). This happened 300 years or more before we landed on the shores of Massachusetts!

As these visions paraded in front of me, I was reminded of Jeremiah's admonishment in Jeremiah 6:16 to Jerusalem, "This is what the LORD says: 'Stand at the crossroads and look; ask for the ancient paths, ask where the good way is, and walk in it!"

Restoring the Foundation

Unbeknownst to me at this time as well was the "Oak Initiative," an effort founded by Rick Joyner with an intent and purpose to preserve and intercede for the Constitution of the United States. It was becoming clear that this vision was an adamant appeal from Heaven to pray for our nation, to stand in the gap for its foundation and make a first line of defense in prayer.

It also keenly revealed that the origins of our Nation were clearly under God's providence and that He had not forgotten His promises. It was a revelation of the origins of our great Constitution and liberties dating as far back as the 1100's—long before 1776 and 1787 dates synonymous with our Republic.

In the official Government document on the 200th anniversary of our Constitution it is recorded that both George Washington and Benjamin Franklin admired and were inspired, "By the concepts, principles and governmental practices of the Six Nations of the Iroquois Confederacy..." It also states, "Many of the democratic principles were incorporated into our Constitution itself..." (click here).

It also avowed that the Constitution of the United States was divinely received and divinely orchestrated between two very different people groups. Hiawatha and the one they called the "Great Peacemaker," whose name means, "Two River Currents Flowing Together" were not just blips on the spiritual radar. Quite the contrary, they were without a doubt an integral and crucial part of the building blocks of this great Nation.

The original symbol of Iroquois Constitution was a "Tree of Peace." It is also a symbol of modern prayer movements such as the "Appeal to Heaven" endorsed by Dutch Sheets and others. This "Appeal to Heaven flag" was originally one of the flags used in the Revolutionary War for a squadron of warships commissioned under then General George Washington. All signposts are clearly pointing to a prophetic tapestry reminiscent of Rahab's scarlet flag flown over her home that saved her whole household.

We are clearly on the precipice of another "Great Awakening" that will bring both a righteous revolution and a revival to the land. A revival that will bind us together in unity in a way that we have perhaps not seen since the beginning of this nation.

Rick Joyner, Washington, Whitefield and Hiawatha - What Does it Mean?

I realized with sudden clarity that each one of these figures in this vision represented a generation—a genesis of different seasons that spanned over a millennium—a thousand years of world and Church history. Hiawatha and the great Iroquois, dating as far back as the 12th century, began the inspiring journey that would someday become "America." A nation that experienced one of the first "revivals" as the words of Habakkuk 2:2 came to pass, "Then the LORD answered me and said, 'Record the vision and inscribe it on tablets that the one who reads it may run.'"

Washington, a soldier, general and later the first president of a fledgling nation that rose up out of spiritual obscurity to defy England's restraints and lift God higher. He helped lay the original intent and foundation of this nation and was president of the constitutional convention that took place in 1787. On March 4, 1789 our newly formed nation enacted the Constitutional Government of the United States for the first time. (Photo via Flickr)

Whitefield represented the revival spirit in the new America that would arguably shape the spiritual horizons for generations to come and inspire men like Jefferson and Franklin. Each one of these historic figures put their hands directly on the foundation of what would become the United State of America.

Rick Joyner represents this generation of the Church and a prophetic posterity that is the "salt of the earth," fighting to preserve and maintain the great decrees and decorum of our forefathers; not just names synonymous with the founding fathers but also Hiawatha, the Iroquois, Seneca, and the indigenous people of this land that are partly responsible for the very Constitution that divinely holds this nation to these Christian principles.

Rick Joyner, I believe, in this vision was a type and shadow of a present prophetic people that are inspired like never before to "fight the good fight of faith" and "having done all to stand" as God provokes us to pray and prophecy as Jeremiah 6:16 states, "This is what the LORD says: 'Stop at the crossroads and look around. Ask for the old, godly way, and walk in it. Travel its path, and you will find rest for your souls'" (see also 1 Timothy 6:12, Ephesians 6:13).

Akin to Daniel and the War in the Heavenlies

I saw with abrupt clarity that the vision was for such a time as this. Despite the fact I received the vision four years ago and have never made it public until this time, it is a "now" word, an appointed time. As Habakkuk asserted, "For still the vision awaits its appointed time; it hastens to the end—it will not lie. If it seems slow, wait for it; it will surely come; it will not delay" (Habakkuk 2:3).

Take note of Daniel in this season, who fervently prayed for God's intervention, yet endured set-backs and discouragement because of the relentless unabated spiritual warfare against him and his nation Israel. We too are facing spiritual battles of monumental proportion, but with God's strength and one another we will be a "three-fold cord" that is not easily broken.

Akin to Daniel, historic breakthrough is on the horizon and we will evoke His promises of revival and breakthrough. Haggai 1:5 seems to capture the timeline of history that we are currently in, "Look at the nations and watch—and be utterly amazed. For I am going to do something in your days that you would not believe, even if you were told." Also remembering an accurate account of our history and praying with focused intensity for our streets, cities, nation, the world and calling into remembrance 2 Corinthians 2:14: "But thanks be to God, who always leads us in triumph in Christ, and manifests through us the sweet aroma of the knowledge of Him in every place." We will prevail! (To Subscribe to the Elijah List go here.)
