Prophesy Over Your Petitions

The Spirit of God led all of us to pray during the month of April for a very specific reason. April is NOT yet over and during a moment of intense prayer yesterday, He spoke to me about something. We’ve prayed at the altar, proclaimed at Hezekiah’s Wall, and yet I know there is something we must do on Saturday - PETITION with prophecy.

At the Den this Saturday, I feel led to do something unique and highly prophetic. Not only am I going to petition to God ON YOUR BEHALF, but as I read some of your requests, and as the Spirit leads me and provides insight, I will prophesy over your petition!

What is a petition? A petition is a formally written request soliciting some favor, mercy, or other benefit with audacity and humility. Even though we have already prayed this month, what I heard from God’s Spirit was that we are now TO PETITION and TO PRESS IN. 

What did Jesus teach us about petitioning? Jesus told His disciples a parable to show them that they should ALWAYS pray and NOT GIVE UP. He goes on to tell a story of a judge and a widow, and that the widow KEPT coming to the judge with a plea, "Grant me justice against my adversary." For some time, the judge did not answer her.

However, because the widow kept persisting and "bothering" him (petitioning him), eventually he said,”Yet because this widow keeps bothering me, I will see that she gets justice so that she won’t eventually come and attack me!” Then Jesus said, “And will not God bring about justice for His chosen ones, WHO CRY OUT TO HIM DAY AND NIGHT? I TELL YOU HE WILL SEE THAT THEY GET JUSTICE, AND QUICKLY."  Luke 18:1-8
